Springtrap (now known as Scraptrap) is the central antagonist-turned-anti-hero of Five Nights at Freddy's: The Stories. he appears as the overarching antagonist of Season 1, the secondary antagonist of Season 2, one the two main antagonists (alongside Nightmare) of Season 3, the deuteragonist of Season 4.

Season 2[]

Decision[]

Springtrap first appears as RXQ as Freddy Fazbear sees Golden Freddy talking with the shadowed figure and the two end up teleporting off, making Freddy suspicious.

Trap 1, 2, and 3[]

RXQ next appears in the bathroom, as he appears with Golden Freddy and lectures him due to being the reason Foxy joined The Puppet and the Toy Animatronics. This is when Golden Freddy tells RXQ to show his true face, which he does, a shadowed variation of the Springtrap suit. RXQ gets the idea to have Golden Freddy control Bonnie the Bunny, due to his uncertainty with the rightfulness of the side Bonnie is on as RXQ disappears again.

RXQ is next seen waiting in the bathroom, where an exhausted Golden Freddy appears, where Golden Freddy admits to losing control of Bonnie for an unknown reason. RXQ gets another idea which involves Golden Freddy attacking Toy Chica head on, resulting in Bonnie's accidental death. However, Golden Freddy teleports off, leaving RXQ as Puppet arrives. After the talk between RXQ and Puppet, RXQ swears he will find his body again. Bonnie ends up being revived, resulting in the plan going awry in vain.

Hallucinations[]

RXQ doesn't appear personally in this episode, but many important details are made about him.

Freddy goes into the backroom and sees Golden Freddy creating Springtrap's body by mistake, however, Golden Freddy shoos him away before anything else is revealed.

As Freddy is in the middle of his hallucinations caused by Shadow Freddy, Freddy looks through the beginning door and sees Spring Bonnie and Fredbear (past iterations of RXQ and Golden Freddy respectively) singing and dancing, before disappearing.

The second door shows Foxy carrying in a dead night guard's body into the Springtrap suit (revealed to be the same guard as in "New Night Guard").

The third door shows Golden Freddy arriving to dismantle Springtrap with an axe, but before he does, the vision fades away.

The fourth door shows Springtrap creating Phantom Foxy, this is the last door Springtrap appears in.

In the real world, RXQ is enraged that every withered animatronic has joined The Puppet. However, the Springtrap suit is shown to be finished as the bear announces his final plan to RXQ

The Final Plan[]

RXQ appears to Golden Freddy and says everything is ready as the Withered Animatronics arrive, the two disappear before they get in, however.

Near the end of "Behind the Mask" (the second song of the video), Golden Freddy and RXQ are seen on the camera at the Prize Counter's Music Box and grabbing an endoskeleton out of it.

Golden Freddy and RXQ celebrate their triumph. However, Golden Freddy seems to be saddened after RXQ asks if his body will be regained. RXQ is required to touch the Endoskeleton. Golden Freddy finally confesses after RXQ has touched the endoskeleton that he will be imprisoned in the Springtrap costume, revealing all Golden Freddy wanted from RXQ was power to defeat the animatronics. RXQ ends their friendship as he's fully imprisoned in the suit, swearing revenge, saddening Golden Freddy. But the power from the suit is taken by Golden Freddy as The Final Plan is initiated.

After a long, hefty battle, Golden Freddy realizes the Springtrap suit has come with them to the third pizzeria.

During Golden Freddy's backstory, it is revealed that Golden Freddy and RXQ ran a restaurant at one point. And then they were replaced by the Classic models in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza I. Golden Freddy had promised to RXQ they would take revenge on the four, but not before RXQ's endoskeleton is stripped, leaving only Golden Freddy.

Once they are moved, RXQ is brought back to life, however, he is only a shadow of his former self.

Season 1[]

New Night Guard 2[]

After the Night Guard takes out Mangle, Foxy, in a furious rage, runs into the office, pulls open the door and kills the Night Guard in a brutal sweep.

While not seen on screen, it's revealed in Hallucinations that Foxy later stuffed the Night Guard's body into Springtrap, letting him be able to move again, unbeknownst to the others.

Assistant[]

Toy Bonnie finds Springtrap (and finds the hat of the Night Guard Foxy had stuffed) in the back room as he's doing chores after Freddy is knocked out cold. However, Golden Freddy senses Toy Bonnie is about to touch the body.

Golden Freddy, in silenced horror, realizes the suit has been touched and a body has been stuffed in there.

In an epilogue scene, Springtrap's hands balls into a fist, indicating he is now alive.

Bad Dream[]

In the season finale, "Bad Dream", Springtrap is revealed to have lit the building on fire. As Freddy walks into the West Hall, he is suddenly attacked and seemingly murdered by Springtrap.

Freddy wakes up in a frenzy, and quickly runs to check on Springtrap's body, only to find it safely secured as he touches it, accidentally activating Springtrap as he leaves, who wakes up.

In Life of a Traitor, it is revealed Mangle caused this dream to happen and have Freddy interact with the suit.

Season 3[]

The First Problems[]

Springtrap is revealed to be alive, as he sticks his hand up and balls it into a fist.

The Awakening[]

Golden Freddy suddenly senses Springtrap's awakening, who talks to Golden Freddy in his mind. Springtrap says he is too weak to move. But he will be patient.

Golden Freddy attempts to take down Springtrap with an axe (as seen in Hallucinations) but this seems to be futile. Golden Freddy tries to convince him to join their team, but Springtrap denies this, and Golden Freddy tries to destroy him, however, Springtrap takes the upperhand by an unknown power (later revealed to be the Ball used by Mangle) and ties Golden Freddy up as he disappears.

Toy Chica is in the bathroom when she is suddenly attacked and taken by Springtrap. Once Bonnie comes in, he only finds Toy Chica's cupcake to remain. It is revealed he had also kidnapped Mangle and had tied her up in the Supply Closet.

Freddy calls a search for the two. However, Springtrap takes out many of the animatronics.

Springtrap appears and taunts Golden Freddy, before leaving.

Freddy and Chica walk out of the backstage after a talk between the two, only for Chica to be destroyed. Suddenly, Springtrap appears in front of Freddy and grabs him by the neck, much like in the dream, before hitting him with the axe, killing him.

Suddenly, the same endoskeleton hits Springtrap. This leads to a fight between Golden Freddy and Springtrap in the Dining Area. Springtrap finally kills Golden Freddy, but unbeknownst to him, the power that Golden Freddy had goes into Bonnie.

Race Against Time, Attack of the Phantoms, and Trapped in the Mind[]

Now in Fazbear's Fright, Springtrap creates many phantoms out of the bodies of the deceased animatronics.

Springtrap tries to think of a way to get out, saying some strange voice is telling him to follow a voice. Phantom Freddy, who is with them, sees a future Toy Chica and a past Golden Freddy. Springtrap turns and sees them as well, however, before the two can react, Toy Chica pulls a mysterious device, knocking both unconscious with no memory of the event. However, Phantom Freddy is able to remember what happened, with Springtrap getting an idea on how to get out.

Later, Springtrap almost gets into the office, but it is revealed Phantom Chica has been revived by Bonnie, Phantom Chica lunges at Springtrap and starts to attack him.

A month later, it is revealed Phantom Freddy is the only one corrupted. And Springtrap, angry, decides that he will find another way.

The Return of the Brother[]

While on an escapade without the others' knowledge, Springtrap attacks Toy Freddy in front of Toy Chica. Toy Freddy tells Toy Chica to run. However, she is saved by Bonnie and JJ, who are watching the situation on the cameras as the exit quickly opens, Toy Chica and Springtrap race but Toy Chica gets to the exit first.

Although a mere setback, Springtrap decides to have Toy Chica choose between the costume or Toy Freddy.

Later, Toy Chica arrives at the ransom as Springtrap taunts her. Toy Chica picks Toy Freddy, much to the surprise of Springtrap, who prepares for a punch. This backfires miserably, however, as Toy Chica has prepared herself with a knife, as she stabs Springtrap and knocks him out.

Springtrap wakes up in the epilogue, pulls the knife from his leg, and decides that if he can't escape, no one else can either as he decides to blow up the building by overheating the boiler.

The Last Suffering and Strengths in Unity[]

As the building blows up, Springtrap triumphs in his "victory".

However, Golden Freddy takes Springtrap on for one final battle as Springtrap decides to kill Golden Freddy, who suddenly states they will die together as brothers. A massive fight breaks out. Golden Freddy ends up knocking Springtrap's head out, when Springtrap suddenly says "Help me.", much to the confusion of Golden Freddy.

It is revealed the device in his head (put on him by Mangle, which is revealed later.) as he saves Golden Freddy as he explains to the bear he is himself again.

Golden Freddy later meets with the rest and shows him Springtrap, much to the confusion and anger of everybody else. Golden Freddy announces that Springtrap saved his life.

Springtrap then decides to sacrifice his own power to restore the Phantoms back to normal. Golden Freddy also decides to help.

A New Beginning[]

As Springtrap makes his leave, Freddy suddenly comes out, and offers his friendship and forgiveness. Springtrap, albeit confused, decides to join the Fazbear Family, and Freddy tells him Welcome to the Family.

This is the first incarnation of Springtrap to not be possessed by William Afton, instead a night guard.
