Squidward Tentacles is the secondary antagonist of the Five Nights at the Krusty Krab franchise, serving as a major antagonist in Five Nights at the Krusty Krab, the main antagonist of Five Nights at The Chum Bucket and a minor antagonist in Five Nights at the Krusty Krab: Chapter 3.
Design[]
Five Nights at The Krusty Krab[]
Squidward Tentacles is a turquoise, animatronic octopus. He is very thin, likely the thinnest of all the animatronics in the game. He has large eyes with red pupils and wears a tan-colored shirt. His appearance, aside from being much thinner, is quite similar to what he looks like in the actual cartoon. He does not, however, have a bulbous head or nose.
Five Nights at The Chum Bucket[]
Squidward appears to look the same as his Five Nights at the Krusty Krab counterpart, except he has blood coming out of his mouth and neck, red marks all over his body, beady eyes, and a particularly psychotic and menacing appearance; arguably he has the most frightening and intimidating appearance out of all the animatronics. He also has more smoother connections between his joints. He still lacks a bulbous nose, however, and his face is rounder as well. The shading in the office makes his eyes look like they’re yellow, and when he opens his mouth, he has the impression that he is screaming, specifically shown in his death animation.
Five Nights at The Krusty Krab: Chapter 3[]
Squidward is extremely damaged, with his head being separated from his body, one of his arms being torn off, as well as one of his legs being torn off. His head is also missing an eye.

Squidward starts to become active on Night 2, he starts at the Register, he then wanders to the Left Stairs, the Backhall, and finally, The Office. If he appears behind The Office's window, he will stand, and stare at the player, and if the player does nothing, he will kill the player by lunging at them while screaming. The only way to fend him off is flicking the flashlight on and off at him.
Five Nights at The Chum Bucket[]
Squidward starts becoming active in Night 2 and beyond. Squidward will attempt to reach the office via two air vents in the ceiling above. He can access here though the left stairs, the Backhall, and will eventually reach the office.
The player can prevent this by closing a vent via the camera but may only close one vent at a time. Squidward will appear behind a vent if he is about to come through, appearing more frequently and advancing more quickly as the nights go by. He will start behind a vent, and if not closed off in time, will next appear past the vents, staring at the player below. He will kill the player if the night doesn't end at this point.
Five Nights at The Krusty Krab: Chapter 3[]
Starting on Night 2, Squidward will approach from the vent above the player, he has 2 stages once he starts moving. The player must turn off the lights if they hear a loud vent banging or see Squidward holding his head in the room. Squidward will leave shortly after the lights are off. If the exposure meter fills up entirely, he will jumpscare the player.

- His mechanic in FNatKK is based on Foxy in FNaF 2 while his mechanic in FNatCB is based on The Owl from ONAF2 and his mechanic in FNatKKC3 is based on the Exposure meter in ONAF 2 and ONAF3.
- In FNatKK, he, alongside Mr. Krabs, is the only character to have his jumpscare sound ripped from Five Nights at Freddy's 2.
- In FNatCB, Similar to Karen, once Squidward is guaranteed to kill the player, SpongeBob, Mr. Krabs, and Patrick will, if they're seen right outside the office, sink their posture seconds before the jumpscare, yet they can still manage to attack the player before Squidward or Karen does.
- In FNatCB Squidward, alongside Sandy, is more twisted and violent then his original counterpart.
- Despite being the main antagonist of FNatCB, he isn't active until night 2.
- If the player beats 7/20 in FNatCB, it will cut to a scene with the night guard on the ground, looking up towards Squidward in a large fire that looks like it had engulfed the entire Chum Bucket. The camera will then zoom out a bit, and the scene will cut to black, with Squidward laughing in the background.
