“ | Ahh, it sure is comfortable around here. Now that Spongebob is gone, I gotta get Spongebob back. I GOTTA GET SPONGEBOB BACK! | „ |
~ Squidward's opening dialogue. |
Squidward Tentacles is the main protagonist of the Joe video, We GOTTA Get SPONGEBOB Back. He is a more chaotic version of his original counterpart who wants to find how to get SpongeBob back for an undisclosed reason.
Personality[]
Unlike his original counterpart, Squidward in this video is not grumpy and is rather more obsessed and delusional over wanting to get SpongeBob back, not caring much over assaulting or damaging others or their property. This is why he first off decides to randomly attempt a robbery at a nearby 7/11, over the outlandish logic that this would bring SpongeBob back before the cashier tells him it won't work.
Despite this, Squidward does have some sort of sense, as mentioned above, he listens to the cashier after attempting to rob the 7/11 in the hope of bringing SpongeBob back, and does feel remorseful after petrifying his allies upon looking back at them.
In the joke sequel video, when Larry askes of why Squidward wants to get SpongeBob back, he stops to think about it, implying that he probably doesn't know himself why he does it in the first place.
Biography[]
One day at the Krusty Krab, Squidward is positioned in his usual spot as the cashier. He then suddenly bursts into paranoia as he starts to aggressively state that he needs to get SpongeBob back, before jogging over to a nearby 7/11. There, he assaults the cashier, whips out a gun, and demands all the money in the cash register. The cashier states that robbing the store won't bring SpongeBob back, causing Squidward to abandon his robbery and instead batters down a paramedic for his ambulance. On the drive back to the Krusty Krab, Squidward shouts over the intercom of needing to get SpongeBob back.
He crashes into the Krusty Krab, before using a gas pipe under the floorboards alongside a lighter to torch down the door to the office, where Mr. Krabs is. He tells Mr. Krabs they need to get SpongeBob back, and he joins alongside Squidward, before calling Sandy about the situation. Sandy arrives with another vehicle to drive the two men to Conch Street, at Patrick's house. Patrick gives the key Squidward in order to unlock the front door of SpongeBob's house. They all go in as Squidward finds SpongeBob's shape underneath his bed sheets within the bedroom, while Patrick informs him that its not SpongeBob. Squidward yanks off the sheets and finds a portal in the bed itself, before Mr. Krabs comforts him that they will stick with Squidward.
All enter through the portal and end up on Bikini Atoll, where Mr. Krabs tells Squidward to not look back. Squidward does it anyways and Mr. Krabs, Patrick, and Sandy are petrified into stone and perish. Squidward mourns over them before question where is he and finds two large floating spheres. There, it is revealed to be SpongeBob, who then conjures a spatula and starts to move towards Squidward. Squidward tries running away, but is flatten to a crisp by the spatula.
Six hours later back at the Krusty Krab, Squidward askes SpongeBob where the Krabby Patty is, before finding it sitting on the window still. Figuring out there are no customers in the restaurant, he places it on the floor for the rats to eat, right next to Plankton. Plankton takes a look at the patty to find the previous Squidward's face on it. (implying the whole story was apart of either SpongeBob or Squidward's imagination)
In the April Fools Day video, "We Gotta Get Spongebob Back 2", Squidward is at Larry's house pounding on his door. When Larry answers, Squidward states they need to get SpongeBob back. Larry askes why and Squidward stops to think.
