Sub Lieutenant Blakeson (shortly known as Blakeson) is a major antagonist in the Inkopolis Chaos Trilogy. He serves as an unseen overarching antagonist of Inkopolis Chaos 2, and one of the two secondary antagonists of Inkopolis Chaos 3.
Blakeson is a nasty octoling who is almost as bad as Lieutenant Obsidian. He has no problems with her torture, mass murder and genocide. In fact, he helps her commit a lot of these disgusting crimes. For example, in a concentration camps, he uses a steelhead to strike fear into the prisoners. When Sylvia says she started the rebellion, he angrily grabs her into another room and traumatises her. His sadism is also shown when he taunts Jade about her mother, then immediately plays dumb and says how he’s killed several, and that she needs to be more specific.
Despite his evil actions, he does have some standards. He doesn’t like when Lieutenant Obsidian hurts or kills her own minions, because it’s a waste of minions. He also gets angry when she scolds him and the other minions, stating that he’s trying. He also is shown to be shocked when Scarlet is fine with leaving her gang members to die.
Villainous Acts
He killed Sylvia’s parents, which caused Melissa’s distrust in octolings. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
He killed Jade’s mother, and revealed it in a sadistic manner.
He even states he’s “killed lots of mothers”, showing that he’s killed dozens of inklings in the past for an unknown reason.
He aids Lieutenant Obsidian with her crimes, and is completely fine with most of the things she does, INCLUDING the destruction of ALL LIFE on the surface. He carries out every single order that she gives him, no matter how heinous.
It’s implied he raised his daughter to be a killer.
He set bombs around the prison Scarlet was at, which he would have detonated if the Warden/Scarlet didn’t comply, which would’ve killed a lot of the prisoners, and the ones who weren’t killed would’ve ran free to hurt people again.
He threatens to kill Jade while aggressively grabbing her and pointing a gun at her head. When Katelin offers to be his prisoner in exchange for Jade and Summer’s freedom, he takes Katelin to the concentration camps.
He abuses the prisoners in the concentration camps, and it’s clearly shown by how much the prisoners loathe him.
When prisoners stand up against him, he uses a mind controlled steelhead to scare them back in line.
When Sylvia takes the blame for causing a riot, he takes her to another room and tortures her, presumably by beating and tasing her. While we don’t see the torture take place, it was bad enough to cause Sylvia to be badly traumatised for the majority of the story, and gives her a phobia of tasers, which is something no other villain in the series has accomplished. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
Later when Sylvia fights him, he sadistically states that he liked her more when she was a “crybaby”.
He carries out Lieutenant Obsidian’s orders of the mass execution of octolings that deserted, showing no remorse for the octolings being killed, even the ones who didn’t even desert.
He set up bombs at cuttlefish cabin, so Lieutenant Obsidian could detonate them in an attempt to kill the agents.
He tried to kill Melissa and Sylvia in the climax.
When the Calamari Inkantation played, he tried to shoot a missile at Callie and Marie to stop the octolings rebelling.
When Sylvia gave him a chance to run away and never return, while he does seem genuinely surprised that Sylvia would offer him such mercy, he rejects it and tries to kill her, which results in him being defeated, and then killed.
