This villain was proposed but rejected by the Near Pure Evil Wiki community for lacking what is necessary to be a Near Pure Evil villain. Therefore, this villain shall be added to our "Never Again List", where proposed villains rejected by the community shall be placed to prevent future proposals of the same evil-doer. They can be proposed again (with the permission of an NPE Wiki administrator) if new elements appear in their series that can change their status as non-NPE villains.

Any act of adding this villain to the Near Pure Evil category without creating a proposal for this villain on the Near Pure Evil Wiki will result in a ban.

I used to live in Splatsville before I came to Inkopolis. Was a rad place, shame that my parents were the living definition of scum.
~ Summer about Splatsville and Her Parents.
YOU SUCK MOM AND DAD!
~ Summer, furiously yelling into the distance about how much she hates her parents due to the abuse they gave her.

Summer’s Parents are supporting unseen posthumous antagonists of Inkopolis Chaos 3.

They were Summer’s abusive parents that beat her, ridiculed her and neglected her. While we don’t see them, their abuse has clearly impacted their daughter, as shown by Summer’s desperation to prove herself and fit in with the crowd for acceptance. It’s possible that she also inherits her smug attitude from them.

They finally make a physical (albeit flashback) appearance in the short story, “Parental Problems” as the posthumous main antagonists.

Personality

We only see them physically once, but it gives us a good enough idea. Summer described them as scumbags, that didn’t care about her. They were very short tempered, and constantly attacked Summer physically. They also didn’t really care about her, as stated that they neglected her constantly, putting their own needs before their daughters. The icing on the cake for how horrible they were is how Summer is shorter then most other inklings due to malnutrition, showing that they starved her sometimes, which is just vile. They apparently had her through an accident, and as a result they use her as a punching bag.

Villainous Acts

  • Neglecting Summer, showing no care or concern for her at all.
  • They were very strict over minor things.
  • Constantly physically abusing Summer, giving her a bit of trauma from being attacked so much.
  • Sometimes, they would starve Summer as punishment. (MORAL EVENT HORIZON)
  • Despite not caring for their daughter, they wouldn’t let her leave them, as stated that Summer escaped from them.
  • Even after Summer escaped them, their 16 years of terrorising her caused Summer to become quite insecure, causing her to act reckless and do stuff without thinking, just to fit in the crowd, desperate to be accepted.
  • Their actions were apparently bad enough to cause Summer to ditch her last name.
  • It’s confirmed in the short “Agent’s Morning” that they gaslighted Summer about octolings. It’s also confirmed that they were Homophobic.
  • They claim that they had Summer by accident and they didn’t want her, but instead of giving her up for adoption, they kept her and made her life hell.

Trivia

  • CrystallicWolf108 confirmed that they both died in a car crash after Summer escaped from them.
  • Even though they didn’t appear, they earn a page on this wiki due to how much they abused Summer. Their abuse of her caused Summer to become insecure, and it can be argued that it’s their fault that Summer tried to attack Natalie, as Summed states that she did it because she freaked out upon seeing an octoling thanks to her parents lies, and tried to act heroic as an attempt to fit in.
