Super Bad Mario is a version of Mario from the titular YouTube series by Pastek, in which Mario is edited over various fail videos to make it seem like he caused them. He is the opponent of the song Bad Day.
Much like his mainline counterpart, He used his voices clips from the same name, were provided by Charles Martinet.
Appearance[]
Super Bad Mario directly uses Mario's Super Mario World sprites. Mario is seen as small compared to a normal human size.
Biography[]
Background[]
Mario's Madness[]
Super Bad Mario is the first opponent fought in the Content Cosmos Warp Zone and raps against Boyfriend, his goal being to mess with him like he would anyone else and make the latter fail his song using multiple gimmicks. He has access to Koopa shells that he projects at Boyfriend's face which drains a small amount of the healthbar, though not too fatal, he has a seemingly endless supply of them. He can also throw poisonous mushrooms that mix with the actual notes, these are penalized as a miss if hit and messes with the background, making it harder for the player to see and hit notes, meaning they must intentionally avoid hitting these notes. His final gimmick is to mess with the player's notes on the screen, bumping their notes lower than his by foot-stooling them, he does the same to the health bar, making it impossible to see how much health the player has left and slightly more difficult to read notes. However, if the player uses "Downscroll", Mario will instead bump the notes up higher than his own and throw a Koopa Shell to get rid of the health bar, applying the same effect. These effects last for the rest of the song. If Boyfriend wishes to avoid being yet another victim of Super Bad Mario's many victims and fail the song, he must endure these gimmicks and beat the mischievous plumber at his own game.
Personality[]
Super Bad Mario takes enjoyment in making people fail in whatever they're currently doing. Whether it be through him simply intervening with their activities or causing misfortune to fall upon them. However, Super Bad Mario isn't particularly a murderous or monstrous like the others in Content Cosmos Zone and beyond. There also isn't much to suggest that his evil deeds are out of genuine malice or resentment for those he causes misfortune to either, more or so just mischievous behavior. In fact, some Super Bad Mario's gimmicks even give people a good laugh, and in even rarer cases, puts them in an even better mood than they already were prior to being swindled by him. Though this is rare, it does show that not all people are negatively affected by his pranks. However, even though Mario isn't as heinous as the other villains, he does still express pleasure regardless of how extreme or painful his pranks are to his victims, such as force-feeding a person a poisonous mushroom, making them faint. Stepping on a cat and making it fall in a toilet, and even hurling a koopa shell at a person which forces them to slide down a mountain. This makes it safe to say that Super Bad Mario does have a sadistic side. Overall, Super Bad Mario isn't downright evil or rotten to the core, but he can be very unpleasant to deal with due to his strong desire to make others fail.
Trivia[]
- There were only two official episodes of Super Bad Mario.
- As such, Luigi's appearance in Episode 2 makes him the only other character to appear in the series.
- The scene Bad Day takes place in comes from Episode 1, where Mario jumps off the back of a cat to get a coin.
- Towards the end of Bad Day, Mario does a dance taken straight from a well-known GIF animation.
- His sprite sheet features a sprite of him as BBG Sans.
- His gimmick of moving the player's arrows and getting rid of the health bar changes depending on your scroll.
- If you play upscroll, he'll spin jump on the arrow from above, moving them down before he spin jumps off the health bar, knocking it down in the process.
- If you play downscroll, he'll jump and hit the arrows from below, moving them upwards before knocking the health bar down by kicking a Koopa Shell at it.
- Originally, the Poison Mushroom he throws would've changed the player's keybinds if hit.
- This was scrapped since the devs felt it was too unfair.
