“ | I think I've got the rules of the game down. I'll forgive you for kidnapping me... for now. How 'bout I just get off this rock for now and mull things over. I just have to off somebody, right? | „ |
~ Syobai before trying to murder Yuki. |
Syobai Hashimoto is the tritagonist of the Korean Danganronpa fangame Super Danganronpa Another 2 by LINUJ.
He's a professional deal maker known for doing all sort of crimes, such as murder and theft, for the sake of earning money. He's made criminal deals with numerous people before the events of the game.
He's also one of the many people who worked for the Mastermind, being the one who stole the Neo World Program for the Killing Game setting and kidnapped several people to act as participants for it.
Personality[]
Syobai is the least social character in the game, refusing to talk to others most of the time and always sticking to himself. Whenever he does start a conversation, he usually acts as a jerkass during it, always coming off as sarcastic, grumpy, threatening or irritated, sometimes even humorous. He tends to insult others and invent nicknames to refer to them instead of using their real names. He's capable of having normal conversations, it's just not common.
He's also very confident, almost never worrying about the fact he's in a Killing Game where anyone can betray and kill him. That being said, he still doesn't let his guard down when he senses he's in real danger.
As the ultimate broker, Syobai is motivated purely by money and is willing to do all sorts of things, which includes committing crimes, if it means they'll pay him enough. He also admits himself to be a selfish person who does most of those things to benefit himself.
Despite this, he's not fully evil or selfish, as he's capable of doing good things even if it doesn't benefit him, such as healing Sora after accidentally stabbing her and siding with the heroes during the mastermind's final moments. He also has an honorable side, refusing to break deals he made with others unless he feels his life is in danger or somebody else offers greater money.
Syobai is also very intelligent, not only being able to modify advanced technology, but also being one of the best investigators in the murder cases. Most of the time he stays quiet due to thinking the others are gonna solve them alone, but once he feels like they aren't doing well on their own, he'll do the job correctly. Despite his jerkass behavior, he's still charismatic enough to get people to listen to him and believe his claims.
Syobai describes himself as someone who has seen "too much of the world" to be scared of anything. In other words, he feels nothing when he kills people or experiences murders and tragedies himself. Even when being exposed to a truly terrifying situation, he'll at most be surprised or joke about it.
Villainous Actions[]
- He's a criminal for hire that has committed many crimes to earn money. This includes theft, transporting drugs and even assassinations.
- Though he did eventually betray him after getting hired by Tsurugi Kinjo, Syobai still worked for Alter Ego Mikado, providing him with everything needed to create a Killing Game:
- First, he killed the real Mikado, who created Alter Ego Mikado.
- He then kidnapped several people, deemed "Symbols of Hope ", and put them in the Neo World Program so they would act as participants for the Killing Game.
- He also kidnapped Akane Taira and Yuki Maeda. Yuki was given special treatment, as his body was destroyed by Kokoro, while his brain was left alive, and Syobai helped with connecting it to the Neo World Program.
- When his memories of working for the mastermind were erased and he heard the rules for the Killing Game, he immediately tried to kill Yuki to escape, only failing because Sora protected the former.
- In order to escape from prison with Iroha, he killed two guards and held Midori hostage to make sure nobody would shoot him.
