The Tama-Terrors are supporting antagonists in the Five Nights at Freddy's fangame Playtime with Percy, created by Fazie Funbear. They are a group of Pal Percy toys who, like all others, were recalled for being too dangerous. They appear during the final boss, in which they'll be sent by Nick's Pal Percy to try getting into the storage room to force him to stay at Percy's Playhouse forever.

Appearance[]

The Tama-Terrors are a group of white, oval-shaped toys with small green screens and large, cartoonish eyes on their tops. They have three small, red buttons under their screens, with the leftmost one having a piece of meat, the rightmost one having a smiling yellow face, and the middle having drops of water. They all also have a strange black substance covering their bottoms.

TamaLanki's eyes are connected through a pair of short tubes, and it has another pair on its sides. Its buttons are instead a blue square, yellow triangle and red circle on the left, two pale blue fish on the right, and a small black circle in a maze in the middle. usually displays a pixelated poodle on its screen, but once fully activated, this will be replaced by a jagged mouth. The tubes connecting its eyes are now longer and crooked, and the tubes on its sides turn into crooked arms, accompanied by a pair legs, both of which also have a black base. These end in small black hands and feet.

TamaBruit's screen is broken, revealing several eyes within, and it has a pair of long, bulky white arms that end in the black substance coming out of its sides.

TamaOpti's screen displays a large white eye with a slit black pupil, and it has five pairs of tendrils extending from its sides, which end in black substance.

The TamaRoachis' screens display a row of long, sharp black teeth, and they all have three pairs of white insectoid legs that are black at the base.

Biography[]

After the success of the Percy's Playhouse entertainment center, Paltronics created a line of virtual pet toys called Pal Percys. An early model with a prototype of Percy Poodle was made, but seemingly never sold. However, the toys had to be recalled shortly after they were sold, as the more they were played with, the more violent and obsessive over their owners they would become. After Percy's Playhouse closes down, these recalled toys were unknowingly left behind in the building.

After a nightguard named Nick tries to repair Percy Poodle by replacing his battery with his own Pal Percy, said toy reveals his true nature by taking over the animatronic as well as the whole building. Nick hides in the storage room, where he finds the aforementioned early model Pal hooked up to the building's power. He uses the EMP to try and shut down the power to stop Pal, who is trying to get into to room while taking control of the other toys, including the EMP, to help him with his hunt.

The EMP, also known as TamaLanki, must be cared for by playing games with it to get a charge, with five charges needed to shut down the power. The first game has the player move a grid of nine shapes - circles, squares and triangles - with W, A, S and D, needing to make one row match. The second has the player navigate a circle through a small maze with W,A,S and D. The third requires the player to catch three fish, moving the fishing rod with A and D and casting it with the spacebar. They player is given a moment of peace at the start of the fight to get familiar with these games and get the first charge. After this, TamaLanki will activate and gradually begin to emerge from the EMP one limb at a time, and the player will need to play games to send it back a step. If it emerges fully, it will attack and end the night.

After getting two charges, Pal will start sending TamaBruti, who will periodically start banging on one of the walls on the other side of the room. The player will have to hold a cart in front of whichever side its banging is heard on, otherwise it will break down the wall and attack. After three charges, TamaOpti will activate, occasionally appearing in the cameras, cued by the sound of its laughter. it will need to be shocked to prevent it from coming into the room and attacking. Finally, the TamaRoachis will be sent after four charges, crawling into the room through the giant hole in the ceiling. They will start clinging to the screen, and must be thrown off with the player's cursor. If too many are allowed to accumulate, they will attack.

Upon getting all five charges, the EMP will abruptly die, removing TamaLanki from the night, though the other three will still remain. After the game's end, it's unknown what happens to the other three Tama-Terrors.

Trivia[]

An earlier version of TamaLanki, named TamaMunchi, was conceptualized with a similar mechanic, and was based off of the Crocodile Dentist toy made by Hasbro. It was scrapped due to its model not getting finished on time, though was added as an easter egg in a later update.
Originally the other animatronics faced during the main game would appear during the boss fight. They were later replaced with the Tama-Terrors and Poodle Pals, with the former being conceptualized when a friend of Fazie Funbear suggested other Pal Percys could be enemies.
The poodle shown on EMP's/TamaLanki's screen is said to be of a prototype of Percy Poodle.
- During a QnA, the poodle's name is said to be Sally.
- Pal's old sprites were used as a basis for the EMP's sprites.
There was originally going to be a monologue from Pal explaining that the Pal Percys were created with DNA to make their bond with their owners stronger. This explanation was scrapped because the devs thought it was dumb, and the true nature of the Pal Percys is now left up to interpretation.
TamaRoachi was the hardest enemy to implement, as its AI would often break.
EMP/TamaLanki, Percy Poodle and the Poodle Pals are the only characters confirmed dead by the end of the game.
Strangely, Tamalanki is shown with the normal Pal Percy buttons in its jumpscare and in the bonuses.
In an older design, the EMP was much bulkier, with larger buttons and several more wires.
