Luminara, better known as The Angel, The Angel's Heaven, or Light, is a fanmade character that has the role of the true overarching antagonist of Deltarune, serving as the final boss of Chapter 7. (DISCLAIMER: This is an unofficial character and its not the actual final boss of Deltarune.)
A powerful and enigmatic being from an unknown place and the ruler of the Angel's Heaven, the Angel is a being of supposed "pure" and "holy" light. Her true goal is to cover both the Light and Dark World in an eternal day that will destroy darkness and shadow, albeit will slowly cause everyone in the world to perish. She serves as Kris' arch-enemy.
Personality[]
The Angel genuinely believes in the sanctity and purity of light. She perceives her mission as a benevolent one, aiming to eradicate darkness and shadows, which she associates with evil and corruption. Her intentions, though inherently good in her mind, are tragically flawed and dangerous. The Angel is driven by an unyielding resolve. Once she sets her mind to a goal, nothing can deter her. This determination manifests as a relentless pursuit of her vision of a world bathed in perpetual light, no matter the cost. Her single-minded focus makes her a formidable force, but it also blinds her to the destruction she causes.
Despite her radiant exterior, the Angel exhibits a chilling detachment from the suffering her light brings. She views the gradual destruction of life as a necessary sacrifice for the greater good. Her inability to empathize with the pain and fear of living beings makes her both pitiable and terrifying. The Angel's idealism is both her greatest strength and her most profound weakness. She holds an uncompromising belief in the absolute purity of light, refusing to acknowledge any shades of gray. This black-and-white worldview drives her to extreme measures, as she cannot fathom a reality where darkness serves any purpose.
The Angel's radiant aura and serene demeanor exude a charismatic presence that can easily captivate and inspire those around her. Her light is mesmerizing, drawing individuals to her cause despite its deadly consequences. Her charisma masks the true danger she represents, making her influence all the more insidious. The Angel also operates on a logic that is inflexible and absolute. She believes that a world of eternal light will bring about ultimate harmony and perfection, unable to grasp the inherent need for balance. Her rigid thinking prevents her from understanding the natural cycles of life and death, light and dark.
The Angel's origins and true nature are shrouded in mystery. Her existence as a being of pure light raises questions about her creation and ultimate purpose. This enigmatic quality adds to her allure, as well as the fear she instills in those who oppose her.
At her core, the Angel possesses an unyielding faith in her mission. This faith gives her strength and resilience, allowing her to press on despite opposition and setbacks. It is this same faith, however, that blinds her to the destructive path she treads. She seeks to transform the world into a realm of eternal light, but in doing so, she unwittingly becomes an agent of annihilation, unable to see the true value of the life she aims to illuminate.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Light Physiology: The Angel is a being of pure light.
- Photokinesis: The Angel's signature power. She has an amazingly strong connection to light, and is a proficient user of light manipulation. The Angel is able to create, shape, and manipulate light; she is, according to herself, capable of using his so-called "holy light" to melt anyone down to flesh and bone, or shape her "holy light" into powerful energy beams capable of making anyone explode into gore.
- Pyrokinesis: The Angel is able to manipulate and control her so-called "angelic fire".
- Immortality: The Angel is almost unable to die, making her a force to recon with.
