~ The Butcher Gang taunting Henry |
The Butcher Gang are the secondary antagonists of the BATIM Minecraft animated music video Art of Darkness by EnchantedMob.
They are a trio consisting of deformed versions of the original Butcher Gang members, who hold a huge grudge against Henry Stein and Joey Drew for abandoning them and damning their souls forever. This causes them to serving Twisted Alice so they can have their revenge.
Their singing voices were provided by Greg "The Stupendium" Holgate, who also provided the singing voices of Henry Stein, Bertrum Piedmont, Brute Boris, and Joey Drew from the same animation. Holgate also provided the singing voices for Sans, Papyrus, and W.D. Gaster from Way Deeper Down by EnchantedMob.
Biography[]
After Henry falls deeper into the studio, he finds himself picked up by a group of Lost Ones who then throw him to meet three of Twisted Alice's vengeful minions known as the Butcher Gang. The first member of the Butcher Gang, Fisher, appears from his steamboat and tries to scare Henry while expressing his irritation at being abandoned by the creators and being beheaded by a rod. After Fisher finishes scaring Henry, the second member who is also the leader of the Butcher Gang, Piper, appears from behind Fisher where he angrily berates Henry for abandoning, even to the point that he hits him with a wrench while showing a newspaper about an animator who got killed by the character he designed, implying that Piper has killed many animators. The third member of the Butcher Gang, Striker, appears by crawling on the ceiling as he begins sings a nursery rhyme about an angel who swallowed a spider until the spider wriggled in the angel's body and from the angel's body, the Striker emerges. Striker and the rest of the Butcher Gang then taunt Henry before they leave, leaving Henry to face their boss.
The Butcher Gang appears once again again at the Haunted House, where they taunt Henry for thinking that he can make them normal again and even wonder if Henry even give a crap before. The Butcher Gang then make their final appearance after Henry kills Brute Boris in the ballroom, where they, along with Alice and the Lost Ones, appear behind Boris, preparing to finish off Henry with their own hands.
Appearances[]
Piper[]
Piper is a cartoon humanoid character, with large ears, a black nose, a black beard and sideburns, a nearly bald head, and wearing a black tailcoat with a tan vest and a black tie. His stature is slightly taller than the two other Butcher Gang enemies. Piper wields the pipe wrench as his weapon, hence his name. Both of his eyes are mutilated in a different manner. His right eye being gouged out and filled with some kind of ink, while sporting a stitched X-shape for the left eye. The shape of his ears strangely resembles those of a human. He wears a single black shoe on his left leg and has a peg-leg for his right leg, which gives him a limp when walking or running. His arms are long and skinny, and he wears a white glove on his right hand. His left arm looks stiff in position, and he is also missing his entire left hand. His tailcoat is slightly worn out with the right sleeve shorter than the left, and a hole is located from the bottom left of his stomach to reveal his innards.
Fisher[]
Fisher wears what resembles a tight black suit. He wears a pair of boot-like shoes, and a wooden sign for a buckle from his belt which says, "LIAR" written in ink. He also wears a pair of white gloves stained with light sprinkles of ink. His neck is replaced with a wooden fishing rod, which allows his head to dangle by a thread similar to a fishing bobber. His head design is the only part of his body that makes him heavily different to his original cartoon counterpart. His head shape was rounder, partly covered in growth-like boils, a large gap-like left eye and a small round right eye with a X-shaped pupil, a missing eyepatch, and has a wide grimacing mouth in place of his beard while sporting two stick-like objects and a set of false teeth.
Striker[]
Striker has a disfigured head that has shoelace-like straps sewn onto his forehead and sporting an extra mouth with chattering, maniacal teeth on the top of his head, while his original lipped mouth was sewn together with stitches. His right eye was replaced with a movable human-like eyeball, placed in the eye-socket with three straps, and a left cartoon eye remain unaffected. His body has three thin arms ending with hands that wear white gloves but one of his left arms is missing. He has an extender bar for his left arm and ends with a gloved cartoon hand.
Personalities[]
Piper[]
Among the other members of the Butcher Gang, Piper is the most aggressive, angriest, and rudest member. Piper is often seen wearing an angry face and does not hesitate to berate and scold his opponents. He even swear at his opponents, such as when he said the word "crap" towards Henry. Also, unlike Fisher and Striker who simply just scares their opponents, Piper does not hesitate to hurt his opponents, as seen when he hit Henry with a wrench and did not seem to regret doing so. He is also very vengeful and hateful towards those who cursed him and it is implied that he killed those people out of spite. Piper seems to only be loyal to herself, not anyone else including Alice, as she serves Alice not out of pure loyalty, but because she can give him a chance for revenge.
Fisher[]
Despite being a member of a murderous gang, Fisher has no intention of killing his opponents and prefers to scare them by flayling his head around and acting scary. Additionally, although he is vengeful like the other members of the Butcher Gang, he only expresses irritation for being abandoned instead of being a murderer like Piper. He somewhat condescends and belittles Henry, thinking that Henry will not be able to make them return to normal.
Striker[]
Striker is not much different from Fisher as he is not interested in killing his opponents and only wants to scare them by crawling on the ceiling and singing scary nursery rhymes. Additionally, unlike his two comrades who hate their deformed forms, Striker does not seem to have a problem with his deformed form as he has never complained about it once, and it is even implied that he likes his deformed form as he denies that his deformed form is malpractice. Also, unlike Piper and Fisher who are hot-tempered and loud-mouthed, Striker speaks casually and calmly but in a sinister and hoarse tone.
