~ The Creature's reoccurring line
The Creature is the main antagonist of the My Little Pony Horror fanfic "Let Her In", where it takes the form of Fluttershy and continuously appears outside Apple Bloom's window trying to get her to open the window to let it inside.
It is voiced by StarryFlame in the Fanfic Reading by GutiSerenade.
When in its normal state, the creature appears like a perfect replica of Fluttershy. However later in the Fanfiction, it can be seen with an extended creepy smile with pointy teeth and the pupils in its eyes are short and red while looking bloodshot.
When in its true form, it still resembles Fluttershy, but the neck was bent at an unnatural way, with its head bent to one side and upside down. Its tongue is bigger and hangs out from one side of its mouth.
Personality[]
Not much of the creature's personality is known. But throughout the story, it has been shown to be taking pleasure in scaring Apple Bloom whenever it appears outside her window.
Biography[]
On the first night, the creature is first told tapping on the glass of Apple Bloom's bed. It mouthed to her that it was cold outside. Apple Bloom didn't move as it continued to to tap on the glass.
On the second night, the creature returned but with a dark red stain across the left of its cheek, implying it might've killed something. It continued to tap on the glass while still claiming it was cold out there. But Apple Bloom knew it was lying since it was warm outside at night despite it being Spring.
On the third night, after dreaming about toys and her favorite teddy bear, "King Paws," Apple Bloom woke up to see the creature outside the window again, but with an old teddy bear in her mouth.
On the fourth night, the creature does not appear as Apple Bloom and Applejack slept in each other's beds due to the former making up a lie about "nightmares".
On the fifth night, Apple Bloom was home alone for the rest of the day. But despite locking up the house, she forgot to close her own window. When she heard banging and footsteps coming up from her room, she carefully investigated. Only to find the creature sleeping in her bed.
After what felt like hours, Apple Bloom quietly left and spent the night in the barn. When her family found her and questioned her, she lied saying there was a break-in. After the house was searched, Apple bloom returned to her bedroom, only to find the creature gone and one of her dresses had a bloody hoofprint on it with some dirt on it too, causing her to destroy the dress by burning it in the fireplace.
On the sixth night, the creature had a piece of torn cloth from the same dress Apple Bloom had burned and buried it's remains in the yard. It continued to stare at her until the sun rose up, causing it to turn and leave.
On the seventh night, the creature continued to terrorize Apple Bloom. This time, it pressed itself against the window while making a mournful expression. still telling Apple Bloom that it was cold out there.
On the eighth night, Apple Bloom, despite being terrified, had enough of the creature terrifying her and decided to take action the next night. All while the creature stood outside her window, still smiling and licking its lips.
On the Ninth night, Apple Bloom followed up on her plan and brought a kitchen knife and a gas lamp up to her room after she had opened her window and left her room with the intention of luring the creature to her bed and killing it while it was vulnerable. Unfortunately, after the creature moved in its sleep, it caused Apple Bloom to drop the knife and let out a squeak of fear. It alerted the creature as it suddenly revealed its true form to her as it leapt out of her bed.
But before it could do anything to the little filly, Applejack rushed into the room with a gas lamp investigating the racket. Only to be met with the creature smiling down at both her and Apple Bloom. Without thinking, Applejack threw the lamp at the creature, causing it to be set ablaze. The creature screamed as it burned alive while mimicking screams of Fluttershy before eventually dying, leaving nothing but a charred skeleton behind.
Despite the creature being now dead, Apple Bloom wasn't the same. Always being remined of it whenever the real Fluttershy smiled. But she always kept her window shut, even on hot nights. Sometimes, she still hears the tapping but never checks. She could even hear the creature say "It's cold down here."
Trivia[]
It may be hinted that in Apple Bloom's memories that the Creature might have been scaring her, even before taking the face of Fluttershy.
