The Farlands Man is an antagonist in the first season of the Minecraft Creepypasta series, being the titular main antagonist of the episode of the same name. He is a creature who resides in the Farlands of Minecraft, killing anyone who dares to venture into them.
He was portrayed by Mordit, who also portrayed Zimber in the same series.
Biography[]
The creepypasta starts with a character named Tom who recounts his experience in his singleplayer Minecraft world.
After organizing his chests in his underground base, Tom runs outside to grab some coco beans, and out of the corner of his eye he spots a redstone torch hanging on the side of a cliff. After coming out of the trees, he sees that the cliff is part of the farlands, a location in older versions of Minecraft that acted as the world's border. After entering, various spirits begin rising from the ground and talking to Tom, telling him not to go further unless he wants to die. As he climbs the trees, Tom spots a wooden house at the end of the trees, and becomes determined to get to the other side. However, the spirits begin messing with his inventory, trying to stop him from getting to the house.
The spirits fail, and Tom reaches the house. Upon entering, Tom discovers a singular villager who tells Tom he shouldn't be there before attacking him. Tom kills the villager in self-defense, but after it dies, a message in the chat tells Tom to turn around. When he does, the Farlands Man appears in the corner of the room and rushes at Tom with an axe, killing him instantly.
Tom was unable to respawn and was forced to reboot the game, his singleplayer world being deleted. Tom signs off the video by theorizing who the Farlands Man and the lost spirits were.
Personality[]
The Farlands Man is an extremely cruel being, having murdered several unknown players prior to the events of the story and presumably keeping their souls trapped forever in the Farlands. He is murderous and sadistic, toying with Tom by leaving a smile at the end of his message before killing him.
