The Groke, while in canon is not a too heinous villain, many children around Europe (Especially countries like Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Poland) have had horrifying nightmares of her, this is one example of how messed up a Nightmare of a childhood´s fear can become. This version of The Groke is the most heinous inteperetation of said character, despite not even originating in any canon approved adaptations.
History[]
The Groke´s cave[]
This dream Scanti had around when he was around 10. Scanti went with his family to his maternal grandparents. Outside he played snow games and later they had dinner. During dinner Scanti got into argument with his dad because he did not want to go to his maternal grandaunt because he is afraid of the husband of said grandaunt, though Scanti is nice about it to his maternal grandmother because he simply said he do not want to go there because it is boring there. At some point however, Scanti hears Groke´s growling which alerts him but his brother and father teases him. Scanti is left alone at the house when The Groke comes and breaks into the house. Scanti tries to hide in the closet but The Groke finds him the moment when Scanti thinks Groke has left. The Groke drags Scanti for days maybe even weeks and it is freezingly painful for Scanti. The Groke then enters a cave and dementedly says "Welcome to Moominvalley". Inside Scanti witnesses something Psyche destroying. There were other Grokes (in different shapes and forms and colors but still nontheless Grokes) plus children who were screaming, crying, praying, wanting to get back to their homes and families. Scanti asks some of the children what The Groke does and a child that has cracked up due to the horrors says "No one knows for sure but The Groke takes children deeper into the cave and then you can hear tortured screams from the kids" and at this point Scanti was questioning if this was a dream or not
Scanti was frozen against the wall for weeks and was starving, considering suicide, it was then The Groke took Scanti deeper into the cave while singing a horror core version of Moomins theme song. Scanti was put on a altar and the other Grokes began chanting a satanic chanting and Scanti endured a painful & insane freezing yet burning pain which got worse and worse.
Scanti woke up from this Nightmare. This dream traumatised Scanti ever since
The Groke´s Spell[]

Scanti wakes up in the Moomin house and meets Thingummy and Bob and the Moominfamily and friends. Moominpappa tells Scanti that "Moominvalley is real and a enterable world as long as you believe in the Moomins" and "In the old days, children could travel from a dream to the Moomin Valley,. They could spend time with us, have fun and travel around the Moomin Valley. However, one area, they were not allowed to go. The Lonely mountains because The Groke lived in the caves there.The Groke did not want to be alone and then The Groke came over borders and went after the children which traumatized them and suffered for the rest of their lives....We gave The Groke the Emerald in exchange The Groke would honor the agreement that she would not return and she was pleased. Then Thingummy and Bob took the Emerald from The Groke and we had to send them back to their own world. The Groke was really angry and started to hunt the children.When enough children had vanished, the connection to this world was broken and the Groke is trying to create a spell that can be used to enter your world to get the Emerald back. And ever since we have had to battle The Groke for many years"
A while later Scanti, Thingummy and Bob had to hide in a box in order to hide from The Groke. The Groke asks the family if "Are there any children here?" or "Where is the Emerald?" . While at first Moominpappa and Moominmamma managed The Groke to leave, things almost went bad when Thingummy or Bob sneezed which made The Groke turn around back and try to look in the Box, but luckily the Witch came and used her magic to get the Groke conjured into place, making The Groke get stuck and immobile. The Witch took Scanti and the rest to safety and tells Scanti that "The Groke has managed to get you into our world, she needs to capture you in order to enter both Thingummy & Bob´s and your world" and The Witch continued that "We must put an enchantment of the emerald and give it to The Groke in order to end this" to which Moominmamma replies that She forgot that the Emerald was still in the suitcase in the basement where The Groke is still stuck. The Witch says that without the enchantment on the Emerald, The Groke will never stop even if she gets the Emerald back and that Scanti needs to do this. The Witch tells Scanti that "If The Groke catches you, she will be able to enter your world and all the children will be in grave danger" And Scanti went back to the basement of Moominhouse. He noticed that the eyes of The Groke follows him and panic struck Scanti and he started to flee and then The Groke broke free from The Witch enchantment in the basement.
The Groke made a deal with Scanti "If you dare come in front of me you will get Emerald" and Scanti do try to get closer to The Groke (though with hesitancy) and then The Groke began to laugh like a madman and strated to project her wrongdoings on Moomins, and Thingummy and Bob, lying to Scanti that Thingummy and Bob murdered her brother. Scanti does not want to believe The Groke but becomes angry of the thought that the Moomins used him, it was only then it turned out that there were two Grokes to which The Groke laughed "Haha we tricked you, my brother is alive and i cheated, my time is now!" and Scanti tried to flee but it was no use, The Groke and her brother captured Scanti and the suitcase with the Emerald and The Groke proclaimed "Finally! my time is now!"
Scanti had a false awakening when he went down to the cellar for his bike and got a jumpscare by The Groke. It was only then Scanti woke up for real
The Groke comes back[]
Scanti and His brothers are waiting for their mother to return but she does not come back, as a matter of fact she never went to work to begin with. So their father goes out to see where she is. Scanti and his brother are now home alone and plays Nintendo until when they go to the phone to hear from the parents and hear no other than The Groke growling on the phone, basically threatning them. In this dream, Scanti had a bunker and Scanti and his brother went to the bunker with equipment. At one point they heard sounds, voices to be exact and they took their weapons to be ready and Scanti kicked the door open and they found another boy. This boy´s name was Mikko. Mikko at some point brought images, some of the images explaining what happened to Scanti´s mom and dad, in fact The Groke took them. One night when they were all sleeping, Mikko woke up crying and started to hit the door to which Scanti´s brother screamed "Do not open the bunker door!" . After a while looking in the monitors Scanti and his brother came to a conclusion. The Groke was coming.The brothers interrogated Mikko and demanded answers on what he was up to and the brothers got convinced that Mikko only wanted to save his own skin .The Groke started to hit the Bunker door and managed to break through the panzer door with just her bare hands. Scanti and his brother tried to fight The Groke with Katanas and knives but no matter how hard they hit The Groke it was no use and they had to flee in a military car. Occasionaly, they had to run. After getting a false sense of victory, losing their weapons, The Groke is still on their track and they have to run. At one point The Groke takes down Scanti´s brother and Scanti falls into despair thinking it is over and The Groke have taken them, however, Scanti hears Mikko´s voice that tells hm to follow the light and then Scanti finds new hope and finds his Katana and together with his brother (who turns out to be alive) brutally strikes back at The Groke thus finishing her off. Thus The Groke was "no longer real"
