The Hunter, formerly James is the original deutaragonist turned main antagonist of 2021 sci-fi horror fanfilm, Dead Space: Ishimura. A crewmember of the Ishimura ship, he was well friends with an enginner named Alexander Bejaminn.
However, during half way through the incident, James was trapped behind and quickly succumbs to his anger, being mulitated and soon become the Hunter, whose hunt down the remaining survivors of the ship.

Being mulitated to death, James lay on the ground helplessly. Suddenly, the marker starts to spread it effects and mutate him into a horrible monster whose bear the skin different compared to many others. Now a merciless necromorph, the Hunter takes the command of the necromorphs and order them to tracks down the remaining survivors.
Using it intelligence, the Hunter managed to lead it necromorph army to tracks down the survivors in a shelter room, leading to the death of John and Grey. The Hunter commanded them to now halt Delta's and Jake escape, as it now finally confront it former friend, Alexander Bejaminn in a final battle. Through out the fight, the Hunter potray itself being undeniably stronger and managed to almost kill Alex until both John and Jack sudden arrival to save him.
John and Delta battled the creature, enraging it as it kills Jake. The necromorph injures Delta and attempts to kill her, but is stopped when Alexander fires cutter at it rapidly with all the lasers power it remains. The Hunter, being unable to regenerate in time as it received to many damages from the cutter fell down, finally dead as Alex is rescued by Delta.
Personality[]
Before becoming the Hunter, James is noticably a lot more kind and considerate. While he was emotional and seems to have anger issues, he truly wanted to help everyone to escape the Ishimura.
However, in his death he becomes vengeful at Alexander, wrongly perceived that his friend has locked the door to leave him behind. He becomes a merciless monster whose bear no traits from it past, only left vengeance as it only priority.

- The Hunter is potrayed by Frozefighter457 as a human and Grey's actor as a Hunter.
- The Hunter potrayal is not entirely accurate to the canon, due to the director lack of knowlegde about the titular creature at the time.
