The Ignited are the main antagonists of The Joy of Creation series.

They are a group of homicidal counterparts of the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria mascots from Scott Cawthon's Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, having been destroyed even further and acting with more sadistic intent than said counterparts, who unlike the Ignited are trying to kill their murderer William Afton. William himself is among the group in an alternate form. They are primarily led by Ignited Freddy who usually enforces their villainous acts, but Ignited Golden Freddy acts as a leader during the events of Story Mode as well.

History[]

The Joy of Creation and The Joy of Creation: Reborn[]

In the first two games in The Joy of Creation franchise, The Ignited are portrayed as hostile animatronics. They also target only one victim, that being Scott Cawthon in the universe of the game, as opposed to an entire group. They are introduced as being willing to kill and are highly aggressive, always targeting anyone nearby, equivalent to that of a predator.

The Joy of Creation: Story Mode[]

The story of The Ignited is rewritten and expanded upon in Story Mode, and The Ignited instead play the role of spirits led by a Golden Freddy copy. The spirits thrive off of other people's creativity, and in the story, they decided to target Scott Cawthon specifically, taking on the forms of the main Freddy's crew. Unlike Michael, of whom their leader made an agreement with to take over from Scott as the family man, The Ignited are focused purely on murder, something that Michael is forced to help the family besides Scott himself defend against. The reasoning for The Ignited taking the forms of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, Foxy the Pirate Fox and Golden Freddy is that their only life force is taking on the forms of other people's creativity, serving as doppelgängers regarding which form they take, having decided to take on the form of the Five Nights at Freddy's cast due to its astronomical popularity among the masses.

Unlike the previous versions of the characters, they also attain supernatural and paranormal abilities, as they are spirits instead of pre-made robots. They appear to warp the function of spacetime to their favor, being able to extend, shorten, and even loop time. They are also capable of teleportation, being able to shift between locations at will. This is evidenced in every level of the game, as the Bedroom is evidenced to take place in a separate realm, as evidenced by the cutscene prior to Office, the constant of time in Living Room is shortened in comparison to the elongated sense a 6-hour period would typically have, the Office involves a second realm where time is looping for Scott Cawthon, allowing him to convey to the present self, the Basement is entirely set within its own realm in which each individual phase is constantly looping, and the Attic functions in the same way, except within the real world.

As Ignited Golden Freddy serves as the leader, he proceeds to tie up loose ends in the attack during the post-anniversary of Five Nights at Freddy's, dedicating years to calling Nick back to the house in order to kill him, ending up successful, triggering the protagonist to recall the events of the game. According to the cutscene when the player is killed by him in the Attic, this goal came up successful. However, as for the remaining family members alive up to that point, Val, Sam and Anthony, it is unknown if he also managed to kill them.

Everything comes to an end at some point. Even if that point, comes sooner than you'd wish.	„
