The Impostor, falsely known as Purple, is the main antagonist of the Among Us Minecraft animated music video Lyin' 2 Me by EnchantedMob and ZAMination.
He is a vicious crewmate-eating alien who infiltrated the Crewmate Dropship to kill all the crewmates on the ship. In order not to be suspected, the Impostor disguised himself as a purple crewmate and pretended to mingle with the crewmates before killing them one by one. He is the Detective Crewmate's archenemy.
Biography[]
The alien known as the Impostor is a vicious alien who likes to eat groups of small humanoids known as crewmates. When the Impostor found out that the crewmates' spaceship called Crewmate Dropship was passing by, he immediately sneaked onto the spaceship and planned to kill all the crewmates and take over the Dropship. In order not to be suspected of his murder, the Impostor disguised himself as a purple crewmate named Purple and pretended to mingle with other crewmates before finally killing Blue when he was alone.
However, Blue's murder ultimately made a red crewmate known as the Detective Crewmate to investigate the murder and made him obsessed with ejecting the Impostor out of the Dropship. When the Detective was investigating, Purple tried not to be suspected by pretending to doing tasks and hanging out with other crewmates, and also put on an annoyed face every time the Detective accused someone of being the Impostor. When the Detective and other crewmates weren't looking, Purple killed the Crewmates one by one and left their bodies lying or hanging, causing the Detective even more obsessed with finding the Impostor.
After the deaths of Green, Yellow, White, and Pink, Detectives gathered the remaining crewmates, Purple, Cyan, and Orange, to discuss the identity of the Impostor. When Orange tries to calm Detective down, Detective accidentally slaps Orange away and hurts him. Purple and Cyan eventually get fed up with the Detective's excessive obsession and decide to eject him. They throw the Detective into the eject room and prepare to eject of him. However, Purple suddenly transforms back into the Impostor and quickly devours Cyan before trying to eat Orange. Orange then opened the eject room door back so that the Detective could get out before Orange also became food for the vicious alien.
In Ending A, seeing that Detective trying to escape with an escape pod, the Impostor tries to prevent him from escaping. However, he failed as the pod was immediately launched away and the Detective managed to escape as the only surviving crewmate. Even though he failed to kill all the crewmates, the Impostor at least managed to take over the Crewmate Dropship and will use it to find a planet full of crewmates so he can eat all the crewmates until they become extinct.
In Ending B, the Impostor has cornered the Detective and is roaring loudly at him. After getting an idea to defeat the Impostor, Detective immediately threw a paper into the corner of the room, causing the Impostor to eat the paper and become distracted. Detective then quickly left the eject room and immediately threw his hat onto the lever, causing the Impostor to be ejected out and eventually freeze to death in outer space. The Impostor's death made the Crewmate Dropship safe and all the crewmates the Impostor had killed was finally avenged.
Appearance[]
In his crewmate form, he is a short humanoid wearing a purple spacesuit with a blue visors on his face. He has short legs, no arms but has hands. He also wore a purple backpack behind him. He sometimes wears a conical hat or omlet on top of his head.
In his true form, the Impostor is a large purple alien who has bright white eyes with black dust around his eyes. His teeth are sharp, looking like shark teeth. He has a pair of bat wings on both sides of his body. He walks with four long tentacles.
Personality[]
To cover his true nature, as Purple, he is a quiet crewmate who doesn't talk much and often pretends to be friendly to his crewmates. He is also shown pretending to care about his fellow crewmates because he immediately became angry with Detective after the latter slapped Orange off, causing him to get hurt. He is also often shown to be annoyed with Detective for bothering and harassing him and other crewmates.
In his true form, the Impostor is a vicious, aggressive, wild and savage alien who acts like a wild predator. He is often seen eating crewmates so violently and greedily that blood splatters everywhere. However, despite this, his predatory instincts causes him to be not smart, as he is easily fooled when the Detective distracts him with paper, causing him to be trapped and ejected, thus leading him to his demise.

- Although in the animation the Impostor is purple, in both thumbnails of the animations, he is yellow (perhaps this is to hide the Impostor's true identity).
