The Man In The Woods is the unseen main antagonist of Island of The Slaughtered, a horror AU made by Eavee-ry on Tumblr, which was based on the animated show Total Drama and Island of The Slaughter: Orphanage Massacre, a horror AU made by Eoin Mererra that serves as a sequel, which was based on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Wayside School. He is a hermit living in the woods of Wawanakwa who started to kill the contestants due to being on his property, kickstarting much of the plot of the AU.
Personality[]
The man's personality is very much ambiguous due to having no screen time, however the narration and crimes gives a lot details of what he is like.
The Man in the Woods is a violent and sadistic man who despised everyone on his island and wanted them gone. Showing to be particularly brutal with his kills, he is not above making his victims suffer greatly before killing them, from getting wolves to eat Sadie while Katie was watching, to sewing together Geoff and Owen simply to please himself.
With that, he shows stealth and expertise in trap making, managing to build traps so he can kill the contestants while keeping himself in the shadows much of the time.
His violence is also capped with a temper, shown when he explicitly murders Beth due to not liking her smile, and to top it off, shows minor perversion as he decides to keep Heather's head in a fridge due to finding her as pretty, even though Heather was just a teenager and the man was likely much older than her, making him rather ephebophilic in a way.
History[]
Island of the Slaughtered[]
The Man's life is completely unknown, other than he lived on the isolated island for a large amount of time, with Chris McLean and his team not seeing him before having him and the contestants on the island, much to the engagement of the man.
The first day on the island, The Man murders Ezekiel as he was walking to the confessional, cutting his body up and placing it around the island, with blood spelled to order them all to leave the island. This leads to Chris abandoning the island with his crew and leaving all the contestants to die.
On the third day, Lindsay gets lost while trying to look for a way off the island, getting chased by The Killer and ended on a top of the hill, ending with her mouth sewn shut and him chucking her off the cliff to her death.
On the fourth night, Katie and Sadie got lost in the forest and were chased by the man. Sadie was slowed down and caught while Katie hides in a tree hole. The Serial Killer howled and attracted the wolves to eat Sadie as The Man leaves her and the traumatized Katie behind.
On day 10, the group traveled together in a cluster to not lose each other. However, The Killer managed to swiftly kidnap Justin, who was in the back of the group, without detection and was killed when the killer cut his face off and slit his throat with a knife and dumped his body in a river.
On day 14, Beth ventures to the confessional by herself, thinking she was safe in daylight. However, she is met with the man, who was waiting for her. Beth attempts to smile while panicking, in which the killer hated, and he then bashes her head in on a boulder before removing her braces.
On Day 18, the killer started to chase everyone around, focusing his attention on Tyler. He unfortunately tripped and the killer caught up with him, dragging him to the shed where he used a rack on him to torture him to death.
On night 20, two groups were formed to find food under Eva and Duncan. Noah started to argue with Duncan about directions after the gotten lost and the heated righted ended with Duncan forcing his group to abandon Noah. The Killer then attacked Noah, stabbed him in the chest, and strangled him to death, before tossing his body in a river.
Chaos erupted again on night 23 as the killer chased the group again. Harold tripped while running and Bridgette decides to heroically sacrifice herself to save him, getting him away as the killer throws Bridgette into a fire bit to burn to death. The day after, Gwen had gotten injured due to the running, so Geoff and Owen decide to go to the medical tent to get medicine. While in the medical tent, however, Owen’s stomach alerted the killer who knocked out Owen and proceeded to chop Geoff to pieces, sewing the two boys together in a cruel fate. When Cody and D.J. go to the tent to see where they are, The Killer comes out and chases the two, with Cody running fast and out maneuvering the man.
The Killer catches up to D.J. and throws him off the hill to his death, to which no one found his body.
On Day 27, Trent and Gwen were in the woods searching for an escape when Trent's leg was caught in a bear trap. The killer comes out and Gwen leaves in a panic as the killer drags Trent to the hanger by the meat hooks.
On the 30th day, Harold decides to fight the man head on and goes to the tools shed for a weapon. The man proceeds to ambush Harold and slam his head on the table, before slamming him in the TV and leaves him to die.
On the 32nd day, The Man kidnaps Courtney while everyone was sleeping. She almost managed to get away before the killer snapped her leg and he hanged her with hooks around her body on the stage.
And on the 34th day, before Chris came onto the island, the killer attacked the group one last time, getting Heather as everyone fled. Despite pleading and begging to be spared, The Killer proceeds to cut her head off with a chainsaw, placing her head in the freezer of the dining hall because she was “pretty.” Heather was the killer's last victim before Chris, Alejandro, and Sierra got back to the island, with the survivors being brought back home.
The Man’s whereabouts when Chris got onto the island with Sierra and Alejandro are unknown, with him either being killed or punished by the ghosts of the murdered contestants like Chris, or he is living in the woods still, getting away with his actions, though the former is heavily implied, given the ghost's capabilities.

- It could be possible that the Killer is based on the Escaped Psycho Killer with a Chainsaw and a Hook from the Total Drama episode "Hook, Line, and Screamer", as the Killer in Island of the Slaughtered used a chainsaw to kill Heather and had also set traps around the island.
- Several of his kills are references to the source material in one way or another
- Ezekiel being killed first was likely a reference to how he was first voted off in both of the seasons that he appeared in,
- in fact, coincidentally corresponding to their elimination order in Total Drama Island, Justin was the 4th victim and Tyler was the 6th victim,
- The way Sadie dies is probably a reference in "The Sucky Outdoors" where Courtney casually dismisses Katie and Sadie's absence, saying they were eaten by wolves.
- The way the man kills Tyler is likely a reference to Tyler being on the rack in Total Drama World Tour.
- And the way Noah died was a reference to an image of him falling in water, as revealed by Eavee-ry.
- Ezekiel being killed first was likely a reference to how he was first voted off in both of the seasons that he appeared in,
- Gwen, Eva, Katie, Izzy, Cody, Leshawna, and Duncan were the only survivors.
- Gwen was left feeling shame and guilt for the events, presumably mostly about Trent, given that she is wearing a shirt similar to Trent's in her artwork, as well as how they were a couple in Total Drama Island.
- Cody and Katie were left empty shells following the deaths of their best friends Noah and Sadie respectively.
- Duncan was heartbroken by Courtney's death, as they were a couple at the time of the events.
- Eva and Izzy were notably barely to never mentioned anywhere in the story outside of being indirectly mentioned as one of 22 contestants. They never discovered any of the bodies, never was shown affected by the events, and never got tangled in what led to the deaths of any of the contestants.
- Eva was briefly mentioned by Eavee-ry to be one of the leaders alongside Duncan.
- It is currently unknown what happened to Leshawna following the massacre.
