The Puppet (ShadowLL)

The Puppet is the secondary antagonist of ShadowLL's Five Night's at Freddy's [sic] fanfic trilogy, serving as the main antagonist of Five Night's At Freddy's, the secondary antagonist of The Horror Attraction and an unseen antagonist in The Calling.

It is a mysterious and supernatural animatronic(?) that is able to brainwash animatronic to do its bidding. It uses this power to either gain full control over the animatronics or kill them all.

History[]

Background[]

The Puppet was around for the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, being kept in a hidden room and never revealing its existence to the other animatronics. However, it's unknown what it did during this time. Somehow, the Puppet learned how to brainwash animatronics.

Five Night's At Freddy's[]

Following the Bite of '87, the Puppet would be moved to a new building, where it teamed up with Golden Freddy to kill all the animatronics. Together, the two would convince Bonbon into joining them, the rabbit agreeing due to his fear of death.

Using its powers, the Puppet would use the animatronics to try to kill the night guard. When the original animatronics realise they are being possessed by someone that is not Golden, the Puppet haunts Bonnie and Chica to attack Foxy. He barely manages to survive, and Fazbear (Toy Freddy) explains to him that one of the rooms holds a music box with the Puppet inside, and that he's currently having Toy Chica wind up the music box to stop it from escaping. Even before the originals showed up, the Puppet had possessed Mangle and Bonbon in hopes of stopping Toy Chica so it could escape, but Fazbear stopped it at the last second.

The next night, the Puppet haunts Bonbon, Mangle and Toy Chica and has them attack the other animatronics, resulting in Freddy being damaged. Eventually, the Puppet would try convince Foxy to attack the guard, but it failed. It eventually manages to take control of Golden, but he manages to break free and stop it for most of the following night. It finally reawakens at 4 AM, where it uses Balloon Boy to influence the other animatronics into attacking Foxy and Mangle. This forces Golden into activating and battling the animatronics, although their combined powers prove to be stronger. Foxy ultimately manages to save the day by getting BB out of the way and winding up the music box. After it's stopped, Golden speaks to Foxy and explains how the Puppet can take parts of the animatronics' soul each time it brainwashes them, until it takes so much power the soul decays by itself.

The next night, the Puppet once again takes control of most animatronics and additionally creates Shadow Freddy, a manifestation of Freddy's former, hateful self that was meant to scare the guard and allow the other robots an opportunity to kill him. Later on, Foxy confronts and kills Golden. However, the secretly-evil Bonnie creates a recreation of Golden that fools everyone, even the Puppet. The fake Golden and the Puppet confront Foxy and taunt him about how all his friends will die and the pizzeria will be closed for good, before disappearing, leaving Bonbon to be the final threat the animatronics must face.

The Horror Attraction[]

Thirty years later, in 2017, the Puppet returns for the new horror attraction. It teams up with Springtrap to get the newest security guard through using the animatronics, and seemingly controls him according to its wording. It also almost kills the fake Golden, believing he's no longer useful. When Springtrap confronts Foxy, the Puppet convinces him to let the fox go. It explains who the new animatronic rabbit is before siccing Mangle, who it managed to gain control of following some manipulation from Springtrap, on Foxy. The Puppet taunts Foxy as he slowly regains his memories.

The Puppet remains absent until much later, revealed to have teamed up with Bonnie. Together, they force Foxy to either kill Golden, or watch as Bonnie kills Mangle. When she manages to free herself, the Puppet attacks her. Once Foxy tries to attack it, it simply teleports away by claiming it can't be touched unless it wants to be. Afterwards, the trio of villains would team up to face the five heroes. In the final battle, the Puppet would target Foxy and Mangle. The two foxes would easily overpower it, with just two hits causing the Puppet to wheeze and fall to its knees. As Mangle tries to finish it off, it attacks her from behind and tries to convince her to betray her friends as they don't deserve to live. However, the fox refuses and responds by using her claw to slice the Puppet in half, killing it and causing it to vanish from existence.

The Puppet is referred to with both he/him and it/its pronouns.
It's unknown how the Puppet came into existence, gained its powers, or if it's even an animatronic in the first place. During the final battle, it's implied to be somewhat organic by having difficulty breathing, and its corpse disappears following its death.
