The Scarecrow is the titular main antagonist of the 2023 YouTube interactive horror short film of the same name by Lagarto Films.[1] He is a mysterious man dressed in a scarecrow costume who spends the story trying to murder Agent Quick for an unknown reason.
He is portrayed by Ian Rodriguez.
Biography[]
Sometime after his battle with the Hitman, Agent Quick is taking a walk in the woods. However, it seems like he is lost and cannot find a way out. Quick starts hearing strange noises and starts to get nervous. His fears only grow when he encounters a mysterious figure wearing a scarecrow outfit and holding a machete. Whether he walks away, walks closer, or shouts at it (determined by the player), the Scarecrow will start chasing Quick through the forest. Eventually, Quick comes to a fork in the trail, forced to choose between left or right.
If Quick chooses the left path, he will continue running and come across a fallen tree, which he has to either jumps over or vault. If he jumps, he will trip over the tree and have to stop to catch his breath, but this allows the Scarecrow to catch up, triggering Quick's fight or flight response. If Quick tries to defend himself, he will stand no chance, and the Scarecrow will break his throwing hand, shove him to the ground, and kill him with the machete. Alternatively, Quick avoids and continues running. Eventually, he comes across two hiding spots, a log and some bushes. If Quick hides behind a log, he will end up waiting for a bit for the Scarecrow to walk by. After Scarecrow is seemingly out of sight, Quick can either wait longer or leave the spot right away. If he chooses the latter, he will come out into the open, seemingly in the clear, only for Scarecrow to come out of nowhere and stab him to death on the spot.
