The Shaw Family are an incredibly influential collection of individuals in the Aegis Chronicles series, they feature prominently in several stories both directly and indirectly. Taking roles as antagonists, protagonists and neutral side characters alike. Each member has their own goals and motives, being part of various different groups that each play major roles in the goings on of the world.
History[]
The Shaw family have been working in the ARCF for an unspecified amount of time, though we know that they were at least there within the first few years of the foundation's existence. Some believe early Shaw family members were close friends with Overseer-1, though this has not been proven. The Shaw family have been considered some of the world's leading scientists and brightest minds for generations. Though some family members disagree with the ARCF's beliefs and initiative to hide the more dangerous supernatural beings from the world.
In an unknown year, Adam Shaw was born into the Shaw family, being one of the most impressive scientists in the world, even above the usual Shaw family members. Adam quickly climbed the ranks and became on the most influential figures in the foundation, he also created the 'code brown' for if too many members of the Shaw family are ever in one place, to make sure that they don't cause chaos. As he climbed the ranks, Adam had several children, first he had Claire, Nobody and Michel, then he later had Elias some time in the early 2020s before having Thomas, Sarah and REDACTED some time in the 2040-50s.
Adam Shaw isn't known to've had a wife, nor is it known who was the mother of his children, with the singular exception of Claire knowing her mother personally, that being where she took her last name from. Despite having no superhuman abilities himself, Adam's children almost all have anomalous features, some gained these features through artificial means(like Elias' medallion) while some gained them naturally(like TJ), some believe Adam's children are cursed or his unknown wife was some sort of supernatural being, though these are unconfirmed.

Adam Shaw is a blond haired man with brown eyes, he was considered one of the greatest researchers in the ARCF and a world famous scientist until his supposed death. Though his death was actually staged and Adam simply went into hiding in a higher position at ARCF, making sure to watch over his family, though unable to directly intervene. He loves his family very much and is pained to see them fight, especially since he is unable to mediate their fighting.

Elias Dowan Shaw is a young man with messy blond hair that reaches down to his neck, he has green eyes and is described as the most similar to his dad in terms of his genetics, though unlike his father he has a much slimmer build and often wears rounded glasses. He is described as eccentric and chaotic by those who know him, he has the supernatural power of immortality via body swapping.
Elias is a high ranking employee at ARCF, similar to how his father was. He is the current legal guardian of his little brother Thomas and is deeply protective of him. He has an intense rivalry with Alto Ophios Clef and an unexpected 'friendship' with Doctor Malik Carter. He is known by his fellow employees as "Oh god no" and is credited with various disasters that occurred at his site.

Thomas Jacob Shaw is a young boy who appears around 16, he has brown hair that almost reaches his chin in length and green eyes. He is deaf and often communicates non verbally. He has the ability to absorb any injuries on others within a certain radius onto himself, healing the other person but harming him in the process, as well as this, if harmed directly the wound will be spread across several other nearby people. Though any plans to use this to heal large amounts of people of injuries were shut down by his elder brother Elias.
Thomas is described by those who know him as incredibly kind and willing to help any and all of his friends with any injuries they may receive out of his own free will, despite his older brother insisting that he stop doing this.

The Cowboy[]
The Cowboy(or Michel Shaw) is a tall and somewhat muscular man with pale white hair tied in a ponytail that reaches down to the middle of his back and reddish eyes. He often wears a cowboy hat and has 2 guns holstered at his sides at all times. He is one of the few people to be aware that Adam Shaw is alive, since the two both have one of the highest positions in the ARCF. He was originally a high ranking field agent before being promoted several times and eventually reaching his current status in the organisation.

Nobody is a member of the Shaw family with no known identity beyond that, their name, appearance and even gender are completely unknown. Despite this, they are considered to be close with several of their siblings, specifically Michel and Thomas. People seem to forget about them as soon as any interaction is ceased, though a few people(including the Shaw family) seem to be largely unaffected in most cases.

All information on this member of the Shaw family has been redacted, other members of the family refuse to talk about them when pressed, including Nobody. Though it is known that they are still somehow alive(which shocked the Shaw family), though retrieving them is beyond the powers of even The Midnight Man at 999-9999's reality warping.
