Dantifer White, also known by his supervillain identity as The Snake, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Faygun France) of the 2023 fanfilm The Incredibles.

He is the father of Alpine and the foremost supervillain of Eden City's outlaws until his son took over. He used to be a guardian of the city and protect it together with his former boss Cain Strong. He wanted to be with Eve, but she preferred Adam even after being hypnotized by him, and this caused The Snake to descend to villainy until the end of the fanfilm.

He is portrayed by Kurt Russell in his first villainous fanon role.

History[]

The Snake started as a hero, working alongside his son Sean White, Mirage and their leader Cain Strong, as the four of them vowed to protect the city from any threat. However, The Snake had his own ambitions, and he betrayed his allies in order to achieve his goals of being together with Eve forever at all costs. Thereafter, it was thought that The Snake and his son were sent to a prison on a nearby island, unable to break out of there and with Mirage guarding them. However, in secret, Alpine has taken full control of the island and it's equipment and robotic monsters, including massive robots of destruction called Omnidroids. While in control of the island and it's weapons and evil robots, Alpine let The Snake feel that he is in control of everything so he could use his father for the beginning of his plans and get rid of him when he is no use.

With Mirage working for them and a mercenary called Faygun France helping them in their schemes, The Snake plotted revenge on those who wronged him step by step. His ultimate end goal was to return to Eden City and terrorize it. As part of his plans for revenge, Sean White pretended to try and convince him to turn to the good side and redeem himself, in order to practice his own ways of deception. However, The Snake pretended to not listen, showing how clearly evil he was.

The Snake and his son plotted to send Mirage and have her lore Bob Parr, the new chosen superhero, to the island, so The Snake and his goons can finally defeat him before taking over the world. The plans were successful, and Bob flew to the island to "work" for Mirage. Also, to ensure his success, he ordered Faygun to kill Bob on the island, and he equipped himself with Snake items and his suit. Afterwards, Mirage was kidnapped by Faygun France, who took her to the volcano. Bob Parr flew there to save her, only to be beaten hard in a battle by The Snake. The Snake tortured Parr by electrocuting him with his green lightning powers, before he reveals to him that he has been working all the time with Mirage, Sean and Faygun being his close allies and top henchmen. He fed Bob Parr straight to The Omnidroid who grabbed him and tried to kill him. Mirage told The Snake and the other villains that she shall take her time off to breathe, but she secretly saved Bob's life by throwing to him a bomb and telling him to use it on The Omnidroid to escape it. Meanwhile, Dantifer goes with Sean and Faygun to a nearby forest. There, he decides to redeem himself and start doing what is right for Eden City, so people won't end up like him, after Eve rejected him.

He tries to talk Sean into redemption too. However, Sean reveals himself to be the supervillain Alpine, and shows his father how he is in control of the entire island and The Omnidroids, even ordering one of these evil giant robots to grab The Snake and squeeze him to death. The Snake retaliates, but he cannot escape. Alpine leaves him with Faygun and the fearsome Omnidroid. Faygun secretly plots to take over the world for himself, and tries to kill Snake by himself with a knife which he would throw at Dantifer's head. However, the Snake escapes the Omnidroid with Bob's help and out of mercy, he forgives The Snake for his crimes, saves him and defeats both The Omnidroid and Faygun, though the latter is still alive and very active. The Snake then helps Bob find equipment and save Eden City from a gigantic attack. Violet joins them on the island and reveals that the city is attacked by droids, and a "giant robot" is with them. The Snake told them it is the Omnidroid V.9 Alpha, the second worst of all Omnidroids and nearly the largest. The three of them rush to save Eden City from complete destruction and apocalypse. However, Faygun France followed them, ready to commit a manhunt and kill all of them. Faygun equipped himself with an RPG and flew to Eden City on a helicopter. Mirage then followed him on her own helicopter drone and once she got to the city, she got out of it and controlled it with a remote control.

The Snake eventually meets Alpine in the city, and begs him to stop the madness, telling his son that he has some decency left in him. However, Alpine tells him that decency is for weak people and stabs him with a sword, revealing he wants above all ultimate power and world dominance.

Personality[]

The Snake is first of all a very tragic character. He wanted to be with Eve, acting at first like a fallen superhero who would do anything to protect Eden City from any threat or corrupting influence. However, when Eve wanted to be with Adam, things got worse, and he had to hypnotize her, but it went wrong and it made her closer to Adam than before. The Snake was a villainous megalomaniac, willing to commit many crimes and misdeeds, and he enjoyed torturing Bob Parr when he had a chance. However, he was merely a pawn for his son, who had much bigger ambitions. Later, The Snake decides to redeem himself after he has a change of heart, and he realizes that if Eve would have lived, she would have thought that he is a ruthless monster. Finally realizing his mistakes and how he could be a better person, he helps the heroes save the city from his son Alpine.

He is seen to be a deeply torn, good hearted and kind man with heavy remorse and love towards the city. Unfortunately, when he tries to help his son redeem himself and stop the madness, Alpine kills him brutally with no sign of remorse.

Trivia[]
