The  Vipers are a violent street-gang and rivals to The Punkettes. The Vipers are led by Fukyu Mekaru and serve as major antagonists in The Punkettes.

History

The Vipers was formed initially to compete against the influence of the Punkettes in Oten City. At the time, Punkettes outnumbered members of the Vipers sets by three to one. To assert their power despite this difference in numbers, The gangs sets became increasingly violent, especially against rival Punkettes members.

The Vipers committed many crimes over the years, including robbery, drug trafficking, and murder - some of which involved dismemberment. In fact, Fukyu alone was estimated to have killed around twenty people while leading her gang. As a result, Fukyu and her gang became feared all over the frontier.

Overview

The Vipers are a gang of ruthless killers and thieves who hunt and kill animals and people alike. Motivated purely by sadism and greed, the Vipers are notorious for their cruel and sadistic acts and horrific tortures, with each murder being more violent than the last. They're known to, among many things, scalp, dismember, disembowel, roast and flay people alive.

They are also drug dealers and robbers, often attacking random passerby's, breaking into homes, or attacking campers and killing them slowly before looting their corpses. While not committing crimes, the Vipers spent most of their free time drinking, playing cards, playing knife games, hunting down and killing people unfortunate enough to fall into their hands, and listening to heavy metal music. While the Vipers can be encountered during the daytime, they have a much heavier presence during nighttime and unless one wants to risk getting into a fight with them, it would be wise to avoid wandering the dark parts at all costs at night.

During night time, they attack people and animals by setting up traps at night and then rob, loot and pillage everything of value before brutally murdering their victims in extremely gruesome ways. They can sometimes be seen carrying the corpses of their victims and dead bodies (whole, partial or otherwise) can be found hanging from- and their bodies stuck to trees using knives, often brutally gutted, dismembered and otherwise disfigured. And they enjoy roasting their prisoners alive before possibly consuming them.

In regards to their weapons, they can be found using anything from pistols, revolvers, rifles, tomahawks, knives, shanks, and melee weapons and wear tattered leather clothes similar to biker gangs and at other times they can be found covered in dirt (for camouflage).

Trivia

  • Some of the Vipers are failed Punkettes or Punkettes who went rogue. This is also evident by the fact that the gang's members wear similar clothing and some appear to bear the Punkettes wolf symbol.
  • Most of the Vipers are shown to have severely cut up, scarred hands, likely due to their hobby of playing knife games.
  • Despite Fukyu's hatred of men, men are present in the gang.
  • In one particularly disturbing event, a video tape can be found in Aristakaro, and if one plays it on Leaki's Video Player, the video contains two Vipers filming a child in a house, with the child screaming and crying non-stop for some unknown reason. The house is very dimly lit and the only source of light is from one of the Vipers, who is turning a flashlight on and off repeatedly. The two girls talk about how the child has a "nice body" and try to encourage him to take a shower, but the child is extremely reluctant to do so. The kid eventually closes the door for a bit and turns on the water, but one of the girls rips open the door as the kid is showering, much to the child's terror. The girl then says “What are you screaming about?” and says "I like this kid. She's really something special." The two then walk into the bathroom with the girl as the tape abruptly ends with the child screaming.
