The Watchers are antagonist in episode 5 of The Legends of Van Helsing webtoon.
All that they knew then was that they made monsters and were a machine cult. According to askr their goal is to kill monsters they were not seen again but Erick in episode 8 does don there symbol but in episode 13 helsing fights 2 guards of the watch and an experiment.
Members (Spoilers for those that haven't read the webtoon)[]
- Watcher Troopers - when we first see the watchers in a projector we see two figures on wares there symbol on his helmet the other is dressed like a commander, it is later shown that the masked member with a helmet was a trooper or soldier of the watch.
- Askr - unlike the other two monsters before (the blob and Manfred) this one was made by science and showed to be intelegent enough to speak and pose ideals askr states he was from Norvag (Norway) showing that they have some sort of presence in norway he was the one who murdered Frankenstein and blamed it on his creature.
- Erik Destler - a french opera pianist who takes a "Bifrost Cloak" an uses it to teleport as he commits mass murder unlike askr who states the goals of the watchers this man seems to be just getting his own revenge and it is not stated of if he is still a member of the watchers or if he deserted.
- Seth - a augmented man turned into a cyborg with wings, a claw, and a drill he is the main antagonist of ep 13 as he attacked. helsing he didn't say anything until the end of the battle.
- The Dreaded Doctor - the masked leader of the watchers.
- Dr Moreau - a Scientist in the watch he turned Blake into a wildman and escaped with Karlin (The Dreaded Doctor).

- the name Askr is a reference to Ask and Embla the viking version of adam and eve.
- the symbol used by the watchers is the Othala symbol which was also used by the nazi's it is also seen that at some point the doctor had the swastika (symbol associated with nazi's and used by them) which might be saying the watchers are former nazi's.
