Timothy Ginky is the defendant of Turnabout Abyss in Monster Attorney. He was tried for the murder of Brian Felixon and eventually his attempted murder in a prior incident. Ginky was the one who blackmailed Felixon into employing a group of poor monsters into a wealthy mansion.

History[]

Timothy Ginky once watched the news and saw a group of monsters losing their jobs due to an injustice. After trying other methods, Ginky decided to pull one trump card to give them stable lives. Ginky wanted Felixon to help them by giving them jobs at his mansion. As a result, he stole the cloak that Brian Felixon suspected of being the culprit behind his wife Cerebella Felixon's murder. Ginky donned the cloak and broke into Felixon's mansion and stole his spear from the eastern bathroom and threatened him as the "culprit" behind his wife's murder to force him to give the monsters job at his mansion. Felixon fearfully complied and gave the monsters the stable lives they needed. Ginky would eventually feel guilt over the situation.

Ginky wanted to confess his blackmail with Felixon after feeling guilt over the incident. As a result, he asked his friend Yvette Xernia to rent a boat for him and Felixon. She reluctantly obliged and reserved the date for them to meet up. Before leaving by boat, he went back to the cabin and asked Xernia some questions before leaving. Unfortunately, he left his bag in the boat which led Felixon into checking the contents for himself and piecing everything together by himself. Felixon would then set off a plan against Ginky and asked him to invite Xernia in order pull off the false attempted murder plot. After isolating themselves at sea, Ginky found himself getting attacked by Brian Felixon using the spear. He tried explaining why he did what he did to Felixon which resulted in the latter slowly realizing the plan would've been fruitless. He fled from the scene after the incident which the truth would go unsolved for months.

Felixon eventually decided to invite Ginky back to his mansion. They both conversed and played at the pool in order for their relationship to be mended. However, things would turn sour as Forest Navael felt that Ginky was a threat. Unbeknownst to them both, Navael was planning on killing Ginky and waited at the pool for his chance to strike but accidentally killed Felixon instead. Ginky went back to the pool and saw the body, fleeing to the garden with the cloak the victim was wearing. He was arrested on the scene by Chief Investigator Magnus Fie who was already looking into the cloaked monster break in incident.

During the trial, Nigel Lawson was able to prove Navael's guilt in court. Surprising everyone but Ginky, he accused him of the attempted murder on the lake months prior. Prosecutor White decided to hold the trial for the attempted murder to clear up loose ends. In the end, Lawson was able to prove that Ginky was innocent for that as well. Ginky confessed the reason Felixon was upset along with the fact he pretended to be Cerebella's killer to manipulate him. He apologized to everyone involved with the incident before he was arrested.

Personality[]

Timothy Ginky is a well-intentioned monster that wants the best for others. However, when backed into a corner when positive solutions are exhausted, he can be shown to take an unlawful route that could accidentally make the situation worse. Ginky is shown to be remorseful when incidents would occur as a result of his misdeeds, making an effort to apologize and make things right. He knows how to get out of a heavy situation, such as placing the meeting on the boat so he can escape through water if things went wrong. He's understanding of others and sympathizes with them, especially when they're caused by his scheme.
