Tinky Winky is a major antagonist in the Five nights at Tubbyland series and its remake, The Tubbyland Archives.

He is a Tubbybot created by Tubbyland Entertainment for the Tubbyland Activity Centre.

Biography[]

FNaTL 1[]

Along with the other four Tubbybots, Tinky Winky formerly served as an entertainer at the Tubbyland restaurant. After the Custard Machine Explosion Incident left him severely damaged, the building was closed down and the animatronics abandoned. At the start of the game, Tubbyland Entertainment aims to repair the broken down Tubbybots in hopes to re-open the establishment.

Tinky Winky begins every night in the Repair Room alongside Po. Eventually he will proceed throughout the building in order of the Party Hall, the Party Area, Dining Room 1, the Kitchen, Dining Room 2, and finally the player's office. Once in the Office, he won't attack immediately; instead leaning on the desk, waiting for the monitor to be brought up, attacking once it's lowered and ending the night. His progression cannot be stopped, instead only stalled by watching him on the cameras, as the sounds of them activating aggravates his sensitive hearing. The player must frequently check on him in order to stall him long enough to make it to 6 A.M. Additionally, if the power is depleted completely, Tinky Winky will kill the player in the resulting power outage.

His plush version in the Dream Night acts exactly the same mechanically, though is positioned differently on the cameras and as a much higher-pitched jumpscare scream.

FNaTL 2[]

Like Dipsy and Laa-Laa, Tinky Winky was repaired and refurbished into a newer model. He now resumes his role as an entertainer, residing in the Room of Stories. For unknown reasons, the technicians gave him access to the building's power supply, allowing him to cause a blackout whenever he pleases.

Tinky 2.0 first activates on Night 3, and like in the previous game, he must be watched frequently to avoid him getting into the office. However, he does not attack when at the office, instead causing a blackout for a short period of time, cutting off access to both the smoke machine and the monitors.

The Tubbyland Archives: Act 1[]

The version of Tinky Winky in the official remake has the same backstory as the original, though now has an entirely new mechanic.

He still has very sensitive hearing, though is now longer affected by the cameras. Instead, he is warded off by the buzzing sound of the flashlight. He first activates near the end on Night 2, beginning in the Main Hall and progressing toward the office through the Theater, the Dining Room, the Party Room, and finally the Office itself. Alternatively, he can take the route of the Repair hall to the Storage area, then the Kitchen, the Party Room, and finally the Office. Like Po, he can't be avoided by hiding behind the curtains; rather, the player must listen for a low groaning sound on the camera he's on and shine their flashlight on him to send him away. Failing this, he'll enter the player's office and attack, resulting in a game over.

Tinky Winky is also the playable character in the fourth and fifth post-night minigames. In both, the player will be instructed to find Noo-Noo. In the 4th, Noo-Noo is found cleaning the floor while standing in a large pool of blood. in the 5th, Tinky instead finds a heavily injured Employee 3 in the office, attempting to escape Noo-Noo. Tinky Winky aids Noo-Noo by restraining the employee while the vacuum cleaner sucks him up, killing the employee due to the sharp teeth in his mouth.

In the 6th post-night minigame, Tinky is instead an enemy that wanders around the building with the other Tubbybots in search of Parker Anderson. Should he find his target, he'll quickly crawl forward and attack, sending the player back to the start of the minigame.

Appearance[]

Tinky Winky is a robotic version of the character from the Teletubbies. Due to the Custard Machine Explosion Incident, he is drastically damaged, with burn marks all over his suit. His entire right leg and almost all of his left leg excluding the upper half are gone, forcing him to crawl around on the floor. his lower left costume casing is missing, as well as his left ear and right costume eye, exposing his black endoskeleton eye with a small white pupil. There is a large hole in the top of his head, and his bottom jaw is always hanging open.

His plush version resembles his undamaged state, though obviously smaller. He has short, stubby limbs similar to that of the plushes in the Five Nights at Freddy's series.

He is repaired in FNaTL 2, though now with a different head shape. His upper and lower head are now two separate pieces, and his eye sockets are much smaller. In Nightmare Night, his eyes are completely gone, leaving the sockets empty.

In Act 1 of Archives, he looks similar to his original counter part, though with a segmented torso and large rips and holes throughout his costume. He is now missing his other costume eye and the costume piece on his left hand. Exposed wiring is seen poking out all over his body, and he has a peach face that now looks more like the original Tinky Winky he was based on.

His FNaTL 1 behavior is inspired by Freddy Fazbear's behavior in FNaF 1.
His FNaTL 1 version was originally still going to have his triangle antenna, but it was scrapped for being too hard to model.
While the power is out in FNaTL 2, Tinky Winky's eyes will flicker in the dark as a reference to Freddy doing the same thing in FNaF 1. Strangely, this does not happen during Custom Night.
Clicking on 2.0's belly during Custom Night while he's in the office with make a honking sound.
Clicking on his portrait in the Custom Night select screen will cause him to say "2spooky100me" in a text-to-speech voice.
