| ~ Tomoo reuniting with Lucy when he had her captive |
Tomoo is the main antagonist (alongside Director Kakuzawa) of the upcoming fanfic by LordGalvatronYT Elfen Lied What If...? story What If... Tomoo Survived The Orphanage Massacre?. He is a version of his original Elfen Lied counterpart from an alternate timeline. In this timeline, he survived Lucy’s massacre of the orphanage where she chose to spare him than killing him, believing it was the easy way out. She would rather see him suffer much as she did first where he was left traumatized.
Years later he would become the leader of yakuza crime syndicate now grown up vowing revenge on Lucy to make her suffer no matter what even if innocents got harmed in doing so.
Appearance[]
As a child, he has the same appearance as his canon self, having the same black hair and eyes with blue shirt.
As an adult, he resembles a handsome young adult male with a yakuza outfit resembling his orphanage clothes with some scars on his arms due to him being injured by one of Lucy’s Vectors.
Personality[]
As a child he got same personality as his canon self he is sadistic and pathetic bully towards Lucy enjoying in tormenting her.
However, since he survives unlike his canon self due to Lucy wanting him to suffer like she did, he was spared. He was shaken with PTSD of his henchmen and orphan girl’s deaths haunting him, as he didn’t intend to get them killed. Nor did he have any idea to Lucy what she was capable of doing, but refused to show remorse for killing her dog and bullying her with her “powers” he calls it making her more of an freak. This gives him another reason on why humans should be sole rulers and believed he was right to bully her in the first place (Even though the puppy had nothing to do with Lucy's case) believing all she did is show her true colors making him want to hunt down Lucy for revenge.
Overall, he is a sadistic, and hypocritical delusional psychopath, who is willing to do whatever it takes to make the Diclonius Queen pay for what she has done to him and make her suffer more, even if many innocents get killed. He will see it worth it in the end, thinking he will be as the hero to bring the murderer to serve “justice” (Although his actions and mindset demonstrate the opposite) and then have his revenge to make her suffer by having his way with her.
History[]
He shares about the same history as his canon self, where he and his henchmen bullied Lucy with blackmailing the orphan girl to be their mole. Once he found out Lucy had a precious dog, he kidnaps it, and beats it to death to torment the Diclonius. But when she snaps, things from here on out would diverge where she kills all but him alive just to make him suffer. She in this timeline thought killing him to be an easy way out, wanting him to suffer first.
After Lucy ran off he got PTSD seeing the other orphans gotten killed and tried to tell the police but no one believed him thinking it was shellshock. When he saw new murders on the news, noticing it similar to what he saw, he realized Lucy’s doing, realizing it was his fault for driving her into killing.
Still, he decides that he was right along due to his own ego of not wanting to admit that he was wrong. This only showed he is right to bully her more with him now seeing her as a dangerous freak out there killing people believing his actions only made her show her true colors, Although, as stated above, the puppy was not to blame for that. He lost his henchmen who are good friends, vowing to make Lucy suffer for doing it to him.
Many years would pass into when the series start where now all grown up Tomoo at the age of 20 who is now a crime lord Yakuza searching for Lucy and have her captured alive. When he learned of a female matching the description, he becomes an undercover student in the school they went to know about what happened.
After sometime of posing as a friend he would think he would know enough to capture her where his failed attempts of capturing ended with many of his men being killed by Lucy. He eventually came across Bando and Kurama who share the same common foe as him, though they have an alliance. He would tell his history on Lucy where he mentions on getting revenge. His plans on tormenting Lucy and making her plaything her as payback which made two not only feel some guilt for Lucy but disgusted them to turn on him.
He would be approached by Director Kakuzawa in exchange for giving him Anti-Diclonius weaponry. He would have his remaining men invade the Maple House where he holds Lucy’s friends' lives in danger, threatening to kill them if she does not comply. Even when he did, he planned on doing it once he's done with his revenge just to torment her further, just for being close to her, even though Kouta had nothing to do with his problems with Lucy.
After delivering her to Director Kakuzawa where he left to initiate the rest of his scheme, Tomoo tortures Lucy painfully while laughing like he is the devil. He attempted to rape her after noticing her more pretty than any human women. However, he would be shot by Kouta where he and everyone else beat up Tomoo for being responsible for tormenting Lucy into being a mass murder that effected their lives.
Kouta would scold at him for pain and suffering on Lucy for her entire life tormenting her that had a after effect on Lucy which make him being responsible for his father & sister’s thanks to driving her to murder seeing him far worse than Lucy ever is. Though Lucy wanted to kill Tomoo but Kouta said he needs to be judged for his actions instead which would be better but not before Lucy slaps him (with her hands not vectors) for all the misery he caused in her life.
Tomoo would be arrested and trialed for his actions including what he has done to Lucy and driving her into her breaking point that made her suffer and torment her for most of her life. He would be sentenced to life in prison, where he unknowingly got infected by one of Lucy’s vectors with the Diclonius Virus so all of his children would be like her. Lucy would finally be at peace with her dog's killer brought to justice, avenged, knowingly Tomoo is going to suffer for the rest of his days.
Trivia[]
- This version of Tomoo can be considered worse than his canon self due him growing up to be a sadistic, psychopathic crime lord hellbent on exacting revenge on Lucy on no matter what even if innocents died. His sadism to torment Lucy would go to a whole new level here as he beaten her up once he got her in custody where he attempted to rape her, showing how much worse he is as an adult had he lived in the original timeline.
- Tomoo is 20 years old in the story as an adult since he is 2 years older than Lucy, being a mix of Anime & Manga storylines.
- Ironically he indirectly saved her life in this timeline as Tomoo’s relentless pursuit of Lucy allowed to change the storyline as it allowed Bando & Kurama to know about Lucy's past that she was driven into killing not born evil like they thought allowing to feel sympathetic towards her, making them ally with the Diclonius Queen and got Director Kakuzawa foiled early enough so it didn't lead to her sacrificing himself to heal Kouta since she didn't exert herself with her powered up form in the fanfic here due to events making her do it not happen.
- LordGalvatronYT made the fanfic on what would happen if Tomoo survived and learned what he created a mass murderer and his reaction to being responsible for many people getting killed for bullying the wrong girl. He couldn’t decide to have him extremely remorseful for not intending in creating a mass murder or feel some minor guilt but exact revenge on Lucy. He went with later since it would sound like unintentionally redeeming him for the former, and get the wrong idea despite hating him himself.
- However, some of the original idea is still left, as he felt a very brief moment of remorse for causing Lucy to become a mass murder since he was completely unaware of her abilities as he didn't intend to get that may killed. He was too angry to feel any more guilt since he hated Lucy so much especially when what she did to him. Even then, he would’ve victim blamed Lucy for her actions due to wanting to protect his own ego and to avoid admitting that what he did was wrong.
- His alternate mistranslation Tomohiro was used as his student undercover name so Lucy wouldn't recognize him when he is called in class as an nod to it.
- Tomoo will likely die to his own child if he finds some female intimate to fall in love with since he was infected by Lucy's vectors meaning it will be an Diclonius and likely will mistreat it since it will remind him of Lucy which only make it kill him when it turns 3.
