Dr. Robotnik is the main antagonist of "Swan Song", a Sonic Universe Online story that acts as the finale to the cancelled Sonic Underground TV series. He is the dictator of planet Mobius who schemes to destroy Sonic the Hedgehog, his siblings and their mother, the exiled Queen Aleena. Eventually, Aleena and her children band together to defeat the evil doctor once and for all.

Sonic Universe Online[]
And some point, Robotnik had Sonic, Manic and Sonia captured and held in a cell to be roboticized. Since he had no more use of Sleet and Dingo, the bounty hunters tried to escape, but were caught and roboticized.
Robotnik taunted Sonic, claiming that with him and his siblings in his hands, the resistance to his rule would be over. Once he left, however, the three would be broken out by their mother, and went on a rampage in Robotnik's base. Manic, however, would be caught and be sent to the roboticizer. Robotnik oversaw his roboticization, but as he prepared to activate the machine, he was ambushed by Knuckles' gang. In the resulting skirmish between them and Swatbots, he insulted Dingo for doing nothing, which prompted him to rebel and shove the doctor into the roboticizer, activating it and turning Robotnik into a robot.
Sonic Underground would subsequently destroy the Robotnik Empire, freeing all of its slaves. Robotnik, still a machine, and the deroboticized Dingo would then be assigned to community service to atone for their crimes, working at the "Dingo Dog" hot dog vendor. It's unknown if Robotnik was ever deroboticized, however.
