The Unknown Figure is the main antagonist of the Spongebob Squarepants creepypasta Faceless and it's several adaptations across YouTube.
He is a mysterious figure who is responsible for making his victims faceless, starting off with Spongebob and Patrick. Upon encountering Squidward, he forces him into joining them by removing his face, making him faceless. In the re-written version of the creepypasta, he also threatens Dan, saying that he will join them as well someday.
Appearance[]
The Unknown Figure is only described as a dark, humanoid figure. He is mostly seen as male and is implied to have a surgeon outfit, due to him being a surgeon. However, as it is unknown how he actually looks like due to being a shadowy figure, it is only speculation.
Personality[]
What is known about the Unknown Figure is that he takes pleasure in turning anyone into faceless servants by ripping out their faces, as he did to Squidward. When capturing the latter, he claims that the treatment he will receive will not be too painful. However, this is in fact a lie to make Squidward believe that he won't hurt him that much only to have his face painfully removed. It is unknown what his goal behind making people in Bikini Bottom faceless, but in the re-written version, it is implied he does this for The Prototype, claiming it will save them.

Original version[]
As Squidward noticed everyone in Bikini Bottom screaming in muffled agony due to their missing faces, he would fall asleep upon reaching Jellyfish Fields and would be kidnapped by a unknown figure who takes him to a room with a surgical table and medical tools.
Staring at Squidward, he tells him that what he is about to do won't hurt much, before removing Squidward's face in a gruesome fashion. This would lead to Squidward turning into the same state as everyone else, with his muffled screams being heard.
Re-written version[]
In the episode, the unknown figure would attack Spongebob and Patrick, removing both of their faces. After Squidward noticed that everyone in Bikini Bottom were faceless, he would then fall asleep in Jellyfish Fields but is suddenly taken to a dark room with a hallway.
While walking down the hallway, he would meet the figure face to face and ask him on who he is and if he was responsible for all he had seen in Bikini Bottom, but there was no answer. This annoys Squidward who asks him for answers, finally making him reply by saying that he will join them.
Scared and confused, Squidward wonders what he means by "joining them", but the figure ignores him and informs that what it will do to him "won't hurt that much". Still confused, he asks the figure what he means about "joining them", but he cuts him off, making it clear to him that he really won't hurt that much. The figure then attacks Squidward and violently removes his face, turning him into a servant like Spongebob and Patrick.
Shortly after, the figure would notice Dan and tell him that he too will join them someday, causing him to eject the DVD and put it back in his closet, never wanting to touch it again.
