About[]
Uran is the titular antagonist of the Uran's Hectic Hellscape series, and is essentially a circumstance victim while also serving as a metaphor for how Tezuka Productions mistreats their founder's creations. She is the sister of Astro Boy and Cobalt, technical daughter of Umataro Tenma but the actual daughter of Professor Ochanomizu.
General Appearance[]
Uran is shown to be an eight-year-old girl with a pale face, a weathered red dress, mismatching-colored arms and legs, deep red shoes, black eyes with white pupils (confirmed to be remaining fragments of her soul that dim when she's in particular moods), discolored bags under her eyes, and most prominently, a massive scar on her right eye, which was stated to be a burn mark.
Personality[]
Uran is a vindictive, cunning, spoiled brat who comes off as extremely rude and foul-mouthed. She takes great enjoyment in sending people to Hell, especially those beyond redemption. She is not past throwing temper tantrums to get what she wants (she's a child after all), and she also does things with the intent of being goofy because why the hell not. Uran is also shown to be rather narcissistic, not caring for anybody but herself and believing that she's the only "true" Uran existing.
Biography[]
Uran was created by Professor Ochanomizu in the Ministry of Science to serve as Astro Boy's little sister.
One day, Uran was playing with her friend's toy car (one of those electric toy cars that you can ride in), which was going way too fast, leading to her passing away in a violent car crash (Note that this is the second time Metro City was directly responsible for pedicide, as a similar thing happened to Tobio years before.) and having a same-day burial. Three days after her passing, Uran would burst out of the casket from a bed of flames, where she would find that she was brought back to life somehow.
She would promptly run back to the Ministry of Science, hoping that her family would be happy to see her live again, however, upon answering the door, Astro was visibly horrified by this and slammed the door in her face. Uran, confused and saddened as to why she was left out to die like this, would walk down a quiet road in the middle of the night, where she would end up running into a mysterious man.
The man referred to himself as "Hades", who revealed to her that she's his new vessel of destruction. Confused as to why she specifically was needed for something like that, she attempted to question him only for Hades to disappear entirely,.
Uran, at first, tested her powers for the hell of it, trying to understand how they work. However, the more she used them, she noticed the more things would get destroyed because of it. Realizing that her she was too much of a danger, she would flee the timeline as a whole and enter a pocket dimension known as the "Hectic Hellscape," where she would find an item called the "Eye of Hades," which she would use to see how life was going back in Metro City throughout different timelines.
One day, Hades would inform her that she needs to start getting to work, otherwise she would die a second time. While Uran would've much rather died again as she was already suffering from being forced back alive, she didn't have much of a choice left but to do as she's told. To start, she killed versions of herself from two of the main Astro Boy timelines (1963 and 2003), and would make them her zombie henchmen.
While using the Eye of Hades one day, Uran would end up finding a timeline that was beyond wrong, Nevermind the fact that she had already killed enough people in her pocket dimension and is forcing them to relive being killed for all of eternity, shit was getting serious now apparently.
Uran would end up destroying her first timeline by entering the Little Astro Boy timeline, which was done through her throwing a temper tantrum so powerful it destroyed the entire thing, Realizing that she had caused a major problem in the space-time continuum, Uran attempted to create a NEW timeline, hoping this time it'd be one where she wouldn't be rejected by fate and end up being seen as nothing more than an afterthought, of which would become Go Astro Boy Go to us in the real world.
Uran would enter this timeline and hope that things would go right. However, the monkey paw curled up threateningly when she noticed herself. It wasn't even her, but a version of her, of which wasn't even Astro's little sister. Uran would start to violently break down at the sight of this, realizing that she had been completely replaced. Nothing was right. And as a result, Uran would completely snap. No longer was she a compliant vessel, but she was out for revenge. Revenge against someone who didn't even know that everything wasn't right.
Uran would end up erasing the faux version of herself by taking on her appearance (aka the GABG artstyle) while keeping her most prominent features (like her burn mark) intact. Uran would go on a violent rampage using this appearance and destroying everything in sight. After nearly everything was destroyed and almost everyone was killed, Uran would make a pitstop and finish what Astro started by killing an unprovoked Atlas by sending him to Hell.
Uran would then FINALLY take on Astro in his final showdown. In the middle of the fight, Astro would notice how everything was changing in appearance, as it was a mere illusion in order to force in memories he had never had before in this particular timeline, however, because of how hard he would fight, Uran couldn't easily kill him off, so after she made a small monolog blaming him for everything that had happened, she would kick him into a portal known as "false memories."
Hades, horrified by watching this through his own Eye of Hades, realized that his own vessel had overpowered him, as he was never able to create pocket dimensions, destroy and create timelines, or even give life to the dead for that matter. In a last minute effort to cut himself off, he snapped apart the string that interconnected the two in order for him to use her as a vessel. However, it didn't work, as he ended up creating a monster. Uran would appear suddenly at Hades's throne with a devilish grin on her face, starting to absorb his body in its entirety.
Hades, despite trying to cling on and crying for help, was completely absorbed and was killed by it, making Uran the new complete ruler of the Hectic Hellscape. Despite this, she still suffers with everyone else, and wishes to be set free.
Trivia[]
- Uran owns a vintage pull-along duck toy which she refers to as "Ducky." It is the only thing that comforts her in a dimension as painful as Hell itself.
- Uran is said to be "the main antagonist, but not the true villain" despite there being so much against her that it's not even funny.
- Uran canonically owns Cthulhu as a pet for some reason.
- Uran runs a game show called "Trivia from Hell", where contestants would go through an obstacle course that would literally send them to Hell if they fell off bounds, then answer general-knowledge trivia at the end, with failing this segment meaning getting nothing, but leaving with your life. Uran uses this to prove her point that humans will disregard their own lives for their desires.
- Uran often tends to act cute in order to get people to side with her, to varying levels of success.
- Uran's hobbies include bothering Astro to make his life Hell, watching TV, and doing Fortnite dances just to annoy the people around her.
- This entire thing was written by the creator of this series.
