Now this will be number 4.
| “ | I’ve made progress on stirring up the class against Marinette. A few are still holding out, but what I have planned for Friday will make sure she’s a complete outcast. Either you can mass-akumatise everyone like you did on Heroes’ Day or she’ll break and become your ultimate akuma, although personally I don’t think she’ll even be average. | „ |
| ~ Hello, police? There's a citizen planning mass brainwashing around here! |
First of all, I apologize to all of you for the controversy my last proposal caused. I didn't mean to cause all that fuss and didn't know it would be such a reckless decision. Regardless, I apologize and assure you that proposals like that won't happen again. From now on, I'll only make proposals like this one, or at best, from the "Disney Princesses but they're Villains" series. That way, everyone wins.
Anyway, I'm going to bring you a variant of the lying fox, which, in retrospect, I should have chosen instead of the last variant. Keep in mind that this is being released on the same day as a PoH proposal by Nadja from this universe, so you can check it out on HFW if you're curious. Now, read the charges.
What's the work?[]
MAMA BEAR is a Miraculous Ladybug one-shot fanfic writted by OminousPredictions for AO3, telling a original history where Lila Rossi, full of anger for her archenemy, Ladybug, decides do spill out her anger ripping apart a little girl's Ladybug doll. Unfortunately for her, this would come back to bite her in the rear later, as the little girl was Manon, daughter of reporter Nada Chamack, and we all know that angry parents are more dangerous than a laughing Batman.
Who's Lila Rossi? What Have Her Done?[]
| NOTE: This section is basically a copy and paste from her page, but it's okay because I created her page myself, so it's not plagiarism. |
Lila Annabel Rossi is a liar girl student of the College Françoise Duppont, with a massive hate for Ladybug, don't know that she is her rival, Marinette, hating both for they go against her lies. On one particular day, after being humiliatingly defeated as Volpina by Ladybug and Cat Noir, she vents her anger by destroying a little girl's Ladybug doll, unaware that it belonged to Manon Chamack, Nadja Chamack's daughter.
The next day, Nadja goes looking for Lila at her house and sees the Italian woman leaving, seemingly looking for someone. Curious, Nadja secretly follows her, only to be shocked to see her talking to Hawk Moth himself, discovering that the young woman is working for him and that she intended to create the perfect scenario for him to create another mass akumatization like the one on Heroes' Day, and this time, she would do it by making Marinette an outcast. To which Hawk Moth replies that she better not disappoint him. Lila asks to be akumatized again, to which Hawk Moth accepts, making her Volpina again. Fortunately, Nadja managed to record everything and calls Ladybug, warning her about the Akuma and warning her not to fall for her illusion same time she asks to talk with her and Cat Noir. On Monday, Lila is furious that her plan didn't work on Friday because Marinette didn't show up at school. Then, when Nadja appears on TV, she exposes all of Lila's dirty deeds, and she goes to trial and is sentenced to fifteen years of reform, with a possible extension to prison if she doesn't show signs of improvement. While being escorted, Lila sees Nadja in front of the cameras and, in a fit of blind rage, tries to attack (and possibly kill) her. Fortunately, Nadja is warned by her cameraman and defends herself by hitting Lila in the face with her microphone, breaking the Italian's nose. Afterward, Lila is officially taken away from Paris and arrested.
Heinous Standards[]
Prelude: Is the work worthy of discuss?[]
Okay, this was a concern I saw some people raise about the proposal I deleted. They said it was a "Ron the Death Eater" thing made just for shock value, that it shouldn't be discussed... I already talked about the last proposal, but I won't repeat it here, so I'll just refer to this one.
No, MAMA BEAR isn't made for shock value. Sure, it has some themes that aren't particularly light for Miraculous, but they're only brief mentions, and anyway, they're Lila's lies—incriminations she made against people who discovered her lies—and nothing more. Otherwise, it's basically a regular fic. In fact, the characterization kind of fits Lila's personality, which is a selfish, empathetic person who would willingly incriminate others for her own benefit. I mean, the original trapped Nooroo in an AIMS state and nearly destroyed the universe. It's not like this is the worst version of her ever written.
The CONSEQUENCES series isn't meant to shock value, but rather to explore likely scenarios in which Lila would face consequences for her actions. Nothing more, nothing less.
Main section[]
| “ | “Lila Rossi is a pathological liar………….. spread stories………… lying about having tinnitus from saving Jagged Stone’s kitten……. threatened me in the bathroom…….. answer sheet showed up in my bag………… expelled.” | „ |
| ~ Wow, her threatening someone who found out about her lies would backfire? Who would have thought? (insert image of Leonard holding the paper with "sarcasm") |
The Heinous Standard here is quite different from the original series. Here, Nathalie is never seen or shown acting as Mayura, Chloé didn't betray the Miraculers, we don't have Tomoe, Cash, Shadybug, and Claw Noir, or the new season's new bullies, and Félix isn't even mentioned. Therefore, Lila's only real competition here is Gabriel/Hawk Moth himself. However, he has far more resources than her, being an adult Miraculous user who also happens to be a billionaire who owns an entire fashion industry.
So Lila is all that's left. As a simple high school girl, the daughter of a junior diplomat, she doesn't have many resources beyond her talent for lying, but what she does with it... Oh, my friend, it's very bad.
| “ | Lila is pezzo di m*rda c*zzo!!! The witch turned all my friends against me and bullied me to the extent that I tried to slice my wrists open! | „ |
| “ | She framed me for dating a younger boy by using a photo of me and my little cousin from Norway out of context. I was actually arrested and nearly sent to prison before the truth came out, but by then she was gone. Burn in H*ll, d** j**la fi**a! | „ |
| ~ And that's because I censored it. |
To begin with, she already had a criminal record long before she even arrived in France, and had ruined the lives of several people who found out about her lies. Her first victim was Gabriella from Roma. She turned the girl's friends against her and bullied her, leaving Gabriella so psychologically damaged that she slit her wrists. Gabriella even showed her scars to ensure this wasn't off-screen villainy. She almost got a boy sent to prison by framing him for preying on minors. He was released, but she fled before she could be punished.
That's not to mention a few bonuses, like an English woman she framed for drug possession and a German guy she pushed in front of a car. This isn't even Fridge Horror, as the victims appeared on TV testifying against her. Heck, the German guy even walks with a cane, since his leg hasn't fully recovered from the accident.
And in the current time of the story, she willingly conspired with Hawk Moth to plan for him to cause another mass akumatization like the one on Heroes' Day, or for him to akumatize Marinette, which is complicity in terrorism.
Yup, as Nadja said: "It would appear we’ve had a villain even worse than Hawk Moth living among us for months".
Mitgating factors[]
This is Lila Rossi we're talking about. What did you expect?
Absolutely nothing to discuss here. She's a selfish, petty, and unempathetic person that not even Hawk Moth can stand and calls "a pain in the ass".
In short, it's just the Lila we know, but paying the price for her actions.
Final Verdict[]
You decide.
