Cooks bacon for lunch.
Oh boy, another surprisingly shocking villain trying to be a Complete Monster whose creator treats his status as a badge of honor... after some discussion on Discord... removal time.
What's the work?[]
From my understanding, Angry Birds Epic: Uprising is an 2021 RPG video game that serves as an intended sequel to Angry Birds Epic. That is about as much as I know, but some of the characters are based on the characters from LuigiFan00001.
Who is Chef Cochon? What did he do?[]
Okay, I don't know if it is pronounced this way, but every time I read his name, I think of freaking Bakugo from My Hero Academia. I'm sorry, but it reminds me of the name "Kacchan" too much, no offense to the creator, but it kinda makes me laugh.
Anyway, Chef Cochon is the royal chef of the Pig City, as well as a sadistic, psychopathic traitor who lusts for power, as he would usurp against the King Pig and take the throne. In the past, Chef "Kacchan" also took a girl he asked out home, killed her, and cooked her up, only to feed her to the King Pig... um, christ. Hell, he isn't even punished for it. He also betrays Lord Sinenis (hope I spelled his name right), and plans using the Aether Star so he can become a god and... rule the omniverse... okay.
Why doesn't he qualify?[]
To put it simple, Chef "Kacchan" is another example of a villain who is primarily made to be a Complete Monster, which just comes off as shock exploitation. Hell, there are even parts of his personality section that make this kinda clear.
“ | He is an extremely callous, traitorous, and sadistic psychopath who feigns loyalty to his master. | „ |
“ | He takes great pleasure in killing creatures, having no qualms of killing individuals in order to earn profit off of his cooking show. He often includes poison in his dishes, and even uses his customers' dead bodies as ingredients for future meals. When his apprentices mess up on a meal, he punishes them by forcing them to jump into a cauldron of cooking oil. While Chef Cochon is not a cannibal himself, he often includes bacon in his meals. | „ |
“ | He is also psychopathic, never showing any remorse for any of the crimes he commits. | „ |
It doesn't help that the same user who made him is known for treating the Complete Monster status as a Badge of Honor, which we DO NOT tolerate. Seriously, they helped Chef Piggy get re-approved and helped get... Shrek from LuigiFan00001 approved too... you see what I am saying? Hell, he even messaged me a while back claiming that he let Chef Piggy get rejected JUST SO he could get Chef "Kacchan" approved.
Also, the game is literally based on Angry Birds. It's kinda hard to take a villain from Angry Birds seriously, and like... as I said, there is some shock exploitation here, as we literally get some enforced cannibalism and genocide in the work too, and let's be real, this doesn't fit the tone of Angry Birds at all, more serious or not, and it just comes off as shock exploitation.
Final Verdict?[]
Wouldn't be surprised if the creator comes along and says "keep", but really, this is an easy cut. Maybe if some changes to his character are made so he doesn't come off as a villain trying to be a CM for the sake of being a CM, and some changes are made so he doesn't come off as shock exploitation, he could count, but till then, cut.
