Marx

Honestly, after hearing some arguments against him, I thought I'd take a look into one of my past candidates. Little disappointed considering I did work hard on the original proposal, but oh well. It happens, and some candidates don't always end up staying in the end.

What's the work[]

I'll just copy and paste from one of my previous proposals: Man on the Internet is a YouTube channel known for taking video game songs and adding lyrics to them, making musical covers of songs from video games such as Undertale, Deltarune, Mario, Smash Bros., Pokemon, A Hat In Time, and many more. Today, we will be talking about a villain from one of their Mega Man song covers.

Who is Marx and what does he do?[]

Just will link the original proposal here.

Why He Doesn't Qualify?[]

So here's the big thing...the song mainly just consists of Marx singing about his crimes. Onscreen, we don't actually see his crimes or evidence of them onscreen. Him starting a war? Offscreen. Him using Kirby? Offscreen. Him attempting to destroy the entire universe? Offscreen. We don't have physical evidence in the video that his crimes did happen, unlike say Omega or Dimentio, considering there is visual evidence of Omega being a mass murderer and Dimentio committing omnicide. We just see him fighting Kirby and the other fighters. The onscreen footage honestly leaves the question if there is even a plot, as it is just footage of what happens during his boss fight in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and not the original game he was in. So...yeah, Marx suffers from a pretty serious case of offscreen villainy with really no onscreen evidence of his crimes.

Final Verdict?[]

Sucks to see him go, but I don't really treat the Complete Monster status as either a badge of honor or dishonor. So yeah, cut.
