An AWA villain who is so vile that he makes Chikage Tachibana look more like a saint by comparison. I absolutely hate slavers in any stories who prey on children, since this guy exceptionally proves that you don't need to be a superpowered villain to be this vile in a work where superpowered villains are a thing.
“ | Damascus: Deidara and I were just checking out Nemeth's office and we found a large, assorted binders filled with files of warriors that Nemeth kidnapped and sold. This is just the first of a list of names of slaves that Nemeth has sold from the past months. (Max reads the first page of Nemeth's list of slaves he sold, dread immediately surrounding him) Max Tennyson: Damn... that's a lot of people. And it's just the first paper. |

~ That's saying something that even the legendary Plumber Max Tennyson gets disturbed by Nemeth's extent of his cruelty during Chapter 43 of AWA Stories. |
First CM fanon proposal. This comes from a fanfic I have read: All Worlds Alliance. I discovered this guy whose crimes make every attempted murderers and destroyers in this series look saintly by comparison, which will be explained at a greater detail later, as his own arc is completed. Presenting the candidate: Nemeth Ulalee! With that being said, let's begin.
NOTE: As I've done the CM proposal on TVTropes before, I'll copy it here, but with the addition of some info for clarity.
What is the Work?[]
All Worlds Alliance is a Massive Multiplayer Crossover fanfiction series written by someonestupED. It features an ensemble cast of heroes from various universes as they join the titular hero organisation and the AWA Academy, as they either join and protect the multiverse against villainous threats including the Apostles of the New World, to lend a helping hand to those in need, or to mingle with various other heroes.
Who is Nemeth?[]
Nemeth Ulalee, also known as Nemeth the Slave Master, is a minor antagonist in the All Worlds Alliance fanfic series. He is the main antagonist of Chapter 43: Too Sweet! Rescue Mission. He is a former member of the Apostles of the New World, a villainous faction, before breaking away from them to pursue his own goals. He is a ruthless elf slaver, whose purely white motif doesn't deter him from the monster he is. He is responsible for enslaving countless heroes around the multiverse, with the very intention of selling them to various shady people for a very high price, with one of the clienteles included the spacefaring mad scientist Silas Moron, who wanted the slaves to be used as living energy sources for his ship Midnight Cruiser, as well as the Patayan Colosseum Slaver, who bought some of them to be used for the audience's entertainment. Nemeth later made a name for himself when he creates the Slave Fortress, a slave prison located in the heart of North Bihag Zone, imprisoning the remaining hero prisoners in his possession after selling the others to his various clienteles.
However, when the AWA later broke into his fortress, he quickly ordered his soldiers to deal with the invading AWA forces, but his men found themselves quickly outmatched by the AWA's sheer might, leaving him to be the sole survivor. But unfortunately for him, his former ally Damascus broke into his office, before he was knocked out by him, which put an end to his terror once and for all. A group of Marines and Plumbers imprisoned Nemeth into Impel Down for his crimes.
With his operations exposed and him being stopped for good, it was still far from over for the AWA, when Damascus and his friend Deidara gave Max Tennyson the list of slaves Nemeth sold in the past few months, with Max being clearly in shock when it turned out that this is only the FIRST paper of slaves Nemeth sold. With Nemeth's imprisonment, the AWA are now faced with a bigger goal due to his actions: rescuing these prisoners at the hands of other people that Nemeth made trades with including Silas Moron and Patayan Colosseum Slaver.
Heinous Standards[]
This will be a lot, but it will be explained here.
For sure the AWA fanfic is known for several villains who attempt to invade other worlds in their goal to cause chaos across the Multiverse (i.e. Chikage Tachibana, Damascus, Silas Moron), which is commonplace in a Massive Multiplayer Crossover fic like AWA.
Nemeth, on the other hand, is truly a piece of work to begin with even for an ex-Apostle member. He's responsible for enslaving countless heroes and normal people, no other villains in the fanfic did, across the multiverse, so whatever heroes he captured he deems valuable he trades them to shady assholes for money and subject them to inhospitable treatments like the infamous slave collars. He stands out for his heinous act of slavery, a clearly much worse crime that is unique for the series as a whole.
It is noted here that Nemeth had much lower resources than the bigger AWA villains like Chikage Tachibana, Damascus and Silas Moron, since he was just a slaver and had no superpowers to begin with, unlike Chikage who is a high-ranking Apostles member and had access to superpowers and with Silas Moron having access to advanced technology like robots and futuristic weaponry, as well as a ship.
The effects of his slavery are also on-screen, since there are several prisoners like the ones seen in Slave Fortress in Chapter 43, the very first time these prisoners are mentioned and explicitly seen in this fic.
To put that into perspective, the AWA heroes sent there clearly see that the prisoners are suffering from being weakened by the strength-draining chokers Nemeth put on them, which drained them of their strength, so it's obvious that he is slowly weakening them to death. Plus, the people he enslaved with also included literal children (including Tina Sprout, Enju Aihara, Geo Stelar, Roll, etc.), normal humans (Yuu Shimamura, the Loud Family, the Pine twins, etc.) and elderly (including Carl Fredericksen).
Never mind the fact that Nemeth had also kidnapped a disabled girl, the alternate!Nui Harime (note: the more heroic version of the villainous Nui who lost her eye and suffers from apraxia (a disease that causes the person to unable to speak; a la mute) and is just a flesh-and-blood human) and her adpoted mother alternate!Ragyou Kiryuiin (note: the heroic version of Ragyou), who were both escaping death away from Honnou City in alternate Kill la Kill universe, after The Rebellious Student wiped out of most of the city's people including her husband and her daughters alternate!Satsuki and alternate!Ryuuko. The end had Nemeth selling them off, still experiencing a traumatising event, to a shady businessman for profit, showing how much of a vile person he truly is. While the event was off-screen, alternate!Ragyou's explanation in CROSSOVERDOSE's Chapter 32 made it very clear that not only they lost their family from the attack, but they were also captured by Nemeth as slaves to be sold off, showing that it had on-screen effects on her and alternate!Nui.
Nemeth's actions have caused a major Cerebus Syndrome to the series, since prior to that said chapter the heroes simply deal with invading villains from various worlds, but unearthing Nemeth's slave operations is an entirely different herd of villainy in this fic, considering how Max read only the first paper of Nemeth's list of slaves he sold to various people, which takes a disturbing turn that even disturbed the legendary Plumber.
In short, even after his imprisonment from Impel Down, it is clear that his shadow still lingers in the next few chapters in other stories, post-Chapter 43 of AWA Stories. Silas Moron in AWA Stories Chapter 50 and later in AWA Missions: The Isle of Lost Light has benefitted from Nemeth's slave operations to use them as Living Batteries for his ship; and the Patayan Colosseum Slaver in Assorted Stories's Chapter 2: Rescue at Isla Berdugo buys off the slaves so that he would use pit them through Roman-style death games in the Patayan Colosseum in Isla Berdugo.
Because of this, Nemeth's actions have clearly left a mark on the other ex-prisoners and AWA in general, all without the use of superpowers, easily surpassing the high heinous standard of the AWA series.
Mitigating Factors/Freudian Excuses[]
Absolutely nothing. To start it off, Nemeth is a disgusting, morally reprehensible garbage of a living elvish being who only cares to no one but himself. Him kidnapping and enslaving literal children (mind you he also enslaved and kidnapped a disabled child like the alternate!Nui Harime), as well as the elderly, proves that he is way past redemption, a line he had crossed that not even the series' Big Bad Chikage Tachibana has done.
While he also worked with Doctor Moron and the Patayan Colosseum Slaver across the multiverse to continue his hero trafficking operations before his arrest, he only does it for financial, greedy reasons and not out of genuine partnership that you would expect from a legal businessman standpoint. Heck, his "partnerships" have enabled these villains to buy off his slaves, so they could do whatever they please for their cruel reasons, making him the man responsible for the mess that the AWA had to clean up. All in all, Nemeth's comeuppance at the hands of Damascus and his imprisonment to Impel Down was well-deserved, since nothing was redeeming about him.
Verdict[]
I'll leave you to vote.
