Valley is an antagonist created and owned by Noland_Spring.
He is a mysterious creature who inhabits an endless, forest-like pocket dimension he uses as his hunting grounds to stalk and murder innocent people who venture into the realm. Rumoured to have an unexplained connection with his forest, he is a cold-blooded monster who seeks out prey to torture and kill.
Appearance[]
Valley appears as a tall, lanky, perpetually melting, vaguely-shaped Sonic look-a-like with a gray color scheme and a hollow black mouth and eyes, the former of which are lacking in teeth and the latter of which have merged to seemingly form a single giant eye socket. He has extremely sharp and large hands and claws as well as feet that resemble that of tree roots. His quills are more forward-facing due to his melting body and protrudes several black, slimy tentacles from various parts of his body.
Behavior and Analysis[]
The true origins of Valley are shrouded in mystery, with it being completely unknown as to where the entity comes from or what it truly is, but based on his design, it's likely that he originated from the forest dimension and that the realm is in fact his home. He is known to be a bogeyman-like figure that parents tell stories about to their children to make them behave, with his legend coming from a town near the entry of the local forest that leads to his pocket dimension.
Valley's forest exists as a pocket dimension-like realm, it is completely endless, filled with nothing but trees and, based on a few sightings, some structures, including that of a house. It is said to have several gateways that allow for Valley to interdimensionally travel between different worlds on a whim, although this ability is restricted to him only and not the other creatures dwelling within the forest. It is said that Valley is 'connected' to his forest in 'in more than one way', but what this implies is unclear.
Although he appears to be just a mindless predator, Valley is a meticulous, manipulative and deceitful stalker with a penchant for mercilessly stalking and psychologically torturing his victims before killing them. Compared to most predators or cryptids, Valley's sentience is what allows him to display a personality, and he is shown to be highly sadistic, psychopathic and deranged, seemingly only killing just for the fun of it and to feel the thrill of the hunt, especially when he begins his favorite part of the hunt: psychologically torturing his victims and breaking them down until they lose the will to fight back against him. This is especially the case when, on rare occasions, he chooses to telepathically communicate with his victims to further invoke a sense of dread and hopelessness. Due to his intelligent nature, Valley is a difficult foe to outmanoeuvre, with the victim's only potential chance of escaping him being to literally escape him and run until he's unable to locate them. He's also shown to become aggressive and enraged when people cut down the trees in his forest.
Valley isn't a typical predator, instead of being ferocious and purely bloodthirsty, Valley is highly intelligent and capable of strategizing attacks on his victims to hit them where it hurts. When a victim wanders into his forest, Valley will stalk them well outside the bounds of the forest until they either fall asleep or unconscious. At that point, Valley will drag them back into the forest and infect his victims with various symptoms of his abilities, with his main one being turning his victim's vision monochromatic, allowing him to blend in with the trees and stealthily move around the forest with without being noticed, although he does occasionally stand slightly in his victim's point of vision just to further toy with them. After driving them to the point of giving up by infecting them with an aura of exhaustion, he'll kill his victim and take their corpse away, likely to be reanimated. Valley also doesn't possess the need to sleep or eat, with the latter revelation meaning that he's a predator that appears to kill just for fun.
In spite of his maniacal nature, Valley does appear to possess some standards and will go out of his way to lead children out of his forest instead of hurting them, showing that he's able of at least being affable and kind towards younger beings that likely don't wish harm upon him, knowing that they shouldn't be in the forest and having to escort them out to prevent them from getting hurt or lost. He's also able to get along well with other exes and is curious regarding most of them, taking great interest in code-based exes.
Powers and Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Monstrous physiology: Valley is an unknown entity that is monstrous in both size and abilities. While little known about his origins and what he truly is, Valley is an exceptionally dangerous, strong and powerful entity.
- Exhaustion inducement: Valley is able to induce exhaustion into his victims when they're near him thanks to an aura that surrounds him, making them feel nauseous, tired and weak, usually ending with them no longer carrying the will to continue to fight.
- Hallucination inducement: Valley's exhaustion aura is also able to induce hallucinations and make them see things that aren't actually there, adding on to their exhausted, confused and frail state of mind.
- Great speed: Valley is said to be quick on his feet and can easily catch up to a target due to being able to travel at high speeds, although exactly how fast he can go is a mystery.
- High durability: Valley is an extremely durable entity and is very hard to damage, being able to take many forms of damage and come out relatively unscathed. Forces of damage such as bullets and projectiles are more than likely to end up stuck in the outer layer of his body.
- Limb extension: Valley can stretch his limbs up to twice the length they normally are, proving to be an effective method of catching his prey.
- Limb generation: Valley is able to generate several additional distorted limbs that protrude from the open parts in his body, mainly his face and torso, using them to snatch up victims and drag them to their doom. However, Valley's additional limbs are more unstable than his main ones and deform/distort more than his normal ones.
- Monochromatic vision aura: Valley is able to naturally emit an aura that causes his victims' vision to alter into viewing the world in a pure black-and-white setting. With this, he's able to blend in better with his surroundings due to his monochromatic color scheme.
- Regeneration: Valley is able to regenerate parts of his body after they take extreme amounts of damage, specifically his limbs, which will reform after being chopped off, albeit at a very slow rate.
- Telepathic speaking: Although Valley cannot audibly communicate apart from laughing and groaning, he's able to telepathically communicate with people by talking to them through their mind as a way to torment them further.
- Teleportation: Valley can teleport from various places to better travel through his forest, preferring to use this ability to remain in his victims' peripheral vision.
- Dimensional travel: Valley is able to make his forest act as a gateway between different dimensions, allowing him to freely travel between dimensions at any time.
- Tentacle appendages: Valley can generate several black, gooey tentacles he can use to snatch up his victims, normally having them protrude from parts in his body, mainly his chest and face.
- Infection: By using his tentacles, Valley is able to infect his victims and cause them to slowly undergo a transformation that'll turn them into a monstrous abomination akin to himself and mimic his actions. However, his infection is shown to take a while to fully complete, which is why Valley tends to utilize corpses to take over.
- Brainwashing: When a victim is fully transformed into a monster, they are completely brainwashed and free for Valley to use as a mindless puppet to carry out his tasks, becoming totally loyal to him.
- Reanimation: Valley's infection extends to not just living people, as he's also able to infect corpses and reanimate them to become like him.
- Exhaustion inducement: Valley is able to induce exhaustion into his victims when they're near him thanks to an aura that surrounds him, making them feel nauseous, tired and weak, usually ending with them no longer carrying the will to continue to fight.
Abilities[]
- Camouflage: Valley is skilled at camouflaging himself and blending into the surrounding environments, which is especially easier if his victims are affected with his monochromatic vision aura.
- Great tactician: Valley is a highly intelligent creature capable of strategizing attacks against his victims and understanding how they react, think and navigate.
- Stealth mastery: With the nature of a highly intelligent apex predator, Valley is an expert at proficiently hunting his victims, being able to stealthily maneuver and prowl around his forest without his victims detecting his presence. With his powers, Valley is able to line himself into appearing in his victims' line of sight, but just as quickly slip into the darkness as quickly as he emerged from it.
Weaknesses[]
- High speeds: When going at high speeds, parts of Valley's body will begin to fall off due to his body's stability decreasing because of the speed he goes at. Normally, the pieces that break off from him are tentacles that get ejected from his body while he runs. For this reason, he avoids running unnecessarily.
- Limb stretching limit: Although he can stretch his limbs up to twice their normal length, that's as far as they go and any attempt to push them further will result in them snapping.
- Water: Given by his melty physique, Valley doesn't react well to water and coming into contact with water will cause his already melting outer layer of his body to melt at an increased rate, although it won't kill him and instead just slow him down and lower his stability.
Trivia[]
- Valley was originally created around the idea of an "uncanny valley-based exe", with his original name being Valley.mov.
- There are other creatures similar to Valley present in his forest, however, these creatures, despite being of Valley's creation are not under Valley's control and they act independently.
- Although Valley can leave his forest any time he likes, the other natives of the dimension are unable to and are confined to the endless bounds of the forest.
- Valley canonically shares the same universe with a fellow EXE being Meadow, and the two know about and hate each other.
