William "Will" Afton, later also known as Vanny the Rabbit, is the main antagonist of the 2023 horror-action fanfilm Five Nights at Freddy's.

He is the owner of Fazbear's Pizzeria, and the father of Samuel, Vanessa and Michael. At first intending his daughter Vanessa and people in general to appreciate his art, he tries to impress hundreds of kids at a museum, killing them later for not appreciating his creation of a rabbit animatronic. After his death, he becomes the very scary rabbit mascot he created.

He is portrayed by Jason Stateham, who also played Grandmaster from the Marvel Fanfilm Universe and will play as Han Wenwu in the comedy/action history film Xi Jinping.

Past[]

William Afton was an aritist who created many animatronics and other objects, who saw art as an important thing in life and valued creativity, as long as people would appreciate it very much. One day, Vanessa was lost and later adopted, and Will went looking for her. During his search, Will found a museum, which he entered with intentions to share his creative materials.

He showed his Vanny the Rabbit animatronic to hundreds of kids at the museum halls, but they all preferred to just look at the museum's beautiful, exciting art and missed his creation. Out of rage, Afton burnt the children until their blood shed on the artful walls of the museum, and he smiled sadistically as he walked out of the halls.

After creating more animatronics, he decided to share his creativity at a fancy Pizzeria, as he became the owner, and then he and his son Samuel Afton have worked there and killed another 4 kids, stuffing them while they were injured into the animatronic bodies, causing them to die in the process and their spirits to haunt the animatronics, being programmed by the commands of The Mimic, who was also Afton's creation and tool. While operating, he disguised himself as "Will Camps", a nice and persuasive owner and businessman, while secretly killing more children and claiming their souls.

As Will Afton[]

Will Afton during history moments was seen as he dressed himself up as Freddy Fazbear, and he brutally murdered Hans Schmidt, while Vanessa was watching the incident as a kid before she ran away to safety. Hans' soul would eventually haunt the Freddy animatronic.

Will later hired Mike Sandbarson as his security guard, asking him to work at midnight until 6 am, also requesting from him to look after his son Michael while he is away. He asked from Mike not to let Michael near the pizza store. Mike agreed to complete these tasks, and he tried to keep Michael from going to the pizzeria, but Michael went anyway and disobeyed Mike's orders. Mike and Vanessa then travel to the pizzeria to rescue Michael from the brutal animatronics. While Michael spoke to Freddy, realizing that the animatronic actually has good intentions, Freddy gave him a flashback of his tragic backstory; The one who disguised himself as the titular bear was Will, and his real family name was Afton. Will Afton didn't just kill Hans yet. He took Hans to Freddy and stuffed his body and soul into the robot, letting him feel massive pain forever.

When Michael realized what happened he intended to go and warn the others about his father Will Afton. Will then surprisingly came and saw Michael, and he asked him what he's doing in the pizzeria so late, demanding him to go home or else. Knowing that it's a manipulative death threat, Michael stood up to his father and refused to listen. Michael told Freddy to show Will what it feels like, but Samuel then joins in with his remote control in his hand, and he uses the remote to electrocute Freddy and torture him painfully until he once again obeys The Mimic's commands. Bonnie and Chica then brought Mike and Vanessa to the room, and Will revealed Vanessa she is the fourth and last Afton family member on the list. He revealed to the shocked Vanessa about his love for art, calling it deception and showing it was just a hypocritical way to get away with his terrible crimes. He then intended to push Vanessa and force her into the materials of his Vanny animatronic, but. fortunately, Mike stands up for Vanessa and pushes Will onto the scary rabbit, electrocuting him to death.

As Vanny[]

Thought to be dead, he wakes up as his spirit haunts the animatronic Vanny. His son Samuel promises him to find for him a way out of being caught for their actions, but Vanny betrays him, revealing that he is fully comfortable with being Vanny now and not William Afton, before slashing Samuel into half, causing his head and body to be seperated.

Vanny then sends the Freddy, Chica, Foxy and Bonnie through The Mimic's commands to search for Vanessa and bring her to him. Vanny eventually gets hold of Vanessa, but afterwards, The Mimic was destroyed alongside Funtime Freddy and the animatronics try to kill him. However, he successfully abducts Vanessa and jumps into the vent. Mike and Michael run into the office, and he appears with Vanessa as his captive within no time, but Mike closes the door, which closes between Vanny and Vanessa, forcing him out of the room while Vanessa is inside. Vanessa checks the security cameras for safety, and when Vanny came near, she told Mike to close the other door. However, Mike intended to end Vanny's reign of terror and free the missing children's spirits. Mike therefore confronted Vanny, and fed him with a dynamite brutally, telling Vanny that this one is for his deceased father, who was most likely also killed in the past in an unknown way by Will Afton. As the dynamite begins burning the inside of Vanny, causing the corpse of Will Afton to crumble in ashes, Mike tells Vanny that this one is for the missing children and the hundreds of children he killed, just before Vanny begins exploding repeatedly and being entirely burnt inside and outside. After Vanny suffers in fires and explosions, he falls onto the ground and disappears. After Vanny's second and final demise, Hans' ghost thanks the protagonists.

Will is a sadistic and ruthless murderer. Together with this, he seems to plan everything accordingly, and have some high amount of intelligence. In this fanfilm, Will used to have a certain view of art. He was obsessed with creating and killing, and would more likely kill many people if they would all not appreciate his artful creations. Ontop of all, he enjoys brutally finding ways to murder and trick people, but out of intelligence, he tries his best to cover up these crimes.

After being killed and revived as Vanny the Rabbit, his own creation, the guy became more scary and ruthless. Vanny would chase after people and mutilate his enemies, just to keep his former crimes hidden and satisfy his lust for more destruction and deaths. He seemed to know what he did, as when he paid the price, Mike told him who it's for, and he still didn't regret his atrocities.

Trivia[]

He is the third live action version of William Afton from a full feature movie, and the second from a fanfilm, after this one. He is also the first from a presentation and the first fanmade cinematic version to have a visual storyline.
He seems to be more intelligent and creative with his killing spree than other versions, viewing deaths of children as "art".
His love for art seems to be hypocritical and nothing more than a simple excuse. He is obsessed with killing, and describes art as deception, showing how unrealistic his artistic side really is.
