| “ | Void: Ah, Huntedskelly. You really thought you could win, didn't you? Huntedskelly: Why? Why did you do all this? Void: You don't see? Scratch needed correction— I corrected it. Many amazing Scratchers never even get a single love, a single favorite... because all the famous Scratchers take all the love. You don't realize how many people have nothing; you're too busy with all your fame. You disgust me, and you will be removed. |

| ~ Void mocking Huntedskelly about his fame before preparing to drag him into the void where he was once imprisoned |
| “ | You think I don't know that! Everyone's tired of hearing that. "Scratch isn't about the fame." Yeah, everyone knows that! I'm not fame-hungry, Skelly, despite what you think. Sure, it would have been nice to have some loves, but that's not the point! The problem is you. You and your people, the famous Scratchers. The way you mistreat people like me. The way you ignore non-popular Scratchers. We're just more "mindless fans" to add to the large number of loves on your projects to make you feel better about yourselves! You.. don't... care. You don't care about any of us! You and the other famous Scratchers are what's wrong with Scratch. A little love would go a long way, but you're too busy with all your fame! But none of that matters now. There's only a few minutes left before it's all over. | „ |
| ~ Void explaining his ulterior motives to Huntedskelly before the void's nexus was set to explode |
Void, also known as The Void[note 1] and formerly by his Scratch username, Diov, is the main antagonist of The Unfamous, an interconnected spin-off to the Immersion game series created by Huntedskelly. He is a former Scratch user who attempted to farm attention by advertising his favorite project that he made before getting banned by the Scratch Team. He later strove to get revenge by kidnapping all Scratch users with at least 1,000 followers and banishing them to his former solitary confinement prison cell.
He was voiced by Huntedskelly in Immersion Part 8 | The Opening and by Haunted_enderman in The Unfamous.
History[]
Background[]
Void began as a regular Scratch user named Diov. His favorite project that he made was a game called "Bounce". After noticing that not many users were playing it, he decided to accumulate views by advertising it in a famous Scratchers studio. However, many users called him out and told him that advertising is wrong. This drove him into depression, which eventually caused him to rage, demanding to the Scratch Team that the "famous" Scratchers who shunned him get banned. However, the Scratch team took notice of the dangers he posed and, declaring him too unstable for the website's community, promptly banned him from Scratch.
After getting banned, he absorbed an unstable dimension, acquiring dark magic abilities and becoming the all-powerful Void. This caused his powers to grow so strong, he needed to get imprisoned in a solitary confinement cell at Naidisbo Space Prison.
Immersion[]
At the end of Immersion Part 8 | The Opening, Erif, who was on a mission to set Alteration free from Naidisbo Space Prison, discovered that the latter had already escaped himself and released Void from his solitary confinement. This enraged Erif to the point where he vowed to kill them both as vengeance.
The Unfamous[]
Upon being released from prison, Void crashed a "famous Scratchers" party and began abducting all of its attendees, throwing them into portals that all led to his former solitary confinement cell. Besides the party's attendees, he also portaled away any propaganda that got thrown at him, along with the giant stack of "follow" buttons meant as a reward for winning poker, and he likewise kidnapped anybody he didn't target that fought against him. He also used his dark magic tentacles to destroy the nightclub where the party was held, leaving it in ruins. When he threw Huntedskelly into the portal leading to his former cell, Nicopete119 jumped in after him and threw him out, saving him from being captured. As Void continued his terrorism on the nightclub, Huntedskelly escaped, along with Stickguy, Kitty497, AlexStudiosinc, and NoobyNoob1234, leaving them as some of the only survivors. Void eventually continued to abduct famous Scratchers (defined by him as those with at least 1,000 followers) beyond his attack on the nightclub, spreading all across Scratch.
Sometime later on, Void recruited Cheesenugget1 as an enforcer, promising to give her fame if she assisted him. He then sent several of his monsters to attack Griffpatch's lair, where Cheesenugget1 was "helping" her friends, ReyRexy, SilkyShark and Owlowicious, fight them off. When Cheesenugget1 devised a plan for them to fight for a while, then run at exactly the right moment, her friends followed along with the plan, while Cheesenugget1 herself betrayed them just as they were about to run off by stabbing her sword into the ground, breaking off the platform where their helicopter was stationed and dropping it, along with SilkyShark, into the void below. She then declared that the void was to her a blessing, but to them a curse and told them it was a bad idea to save the "famous" Scratch users, at which point Void supplied her with a blaster that she used to knock ReyRexy and Owlowicious into the void.
Meanwhile, Huntedskelly, Stickguy, Kitty497, AlexStudiosinc, and NoobyNoob1234 escaped to an Add Everything studio, believing it to be the last place Void would ever look for them. While at the studio, they decided to assemble an army of less popular Scratch users to help fight against Void, which they quickly formed. After that, Huntedskelly consulted a professional hacker named Gechurl to find out which famous Scratchers had not yet been captured by Void, and the search results yielded that his most famous soon-to-be victims were Griffpatch, -TheGreenNinja-, -Rocket-, and -BoyMcBoy-. Knowing that their army was only big enough to send out rescue missions for two of them at maximum, Huntedskelly decided to shift their primary focus onto Griffpatch and -Rocket-. PerfumeGrenade, Coder-I, Wolf_knight, WhenScratchScratches, Starstriker3000, Debestist, Quinnthing1, Wynty, and Kitty497 volunteered to save Griffpatch, leaving Sixplustwo, Cheesedrawer, CS3851810, IDontNoWatIAm, Stickguy, NanoJonathan, AlexStudiosinc, and NoobyNoob1234 to join Huntedskelly on the mission to save -Rocket-. Huntedskelly then got his hands on the links to their profiles, sending the two teams to save them from Void.
Void later broke into Griffpatch's lair and abducted all of his bodyguards, leaving him vulnerable to become the next target. He then tried to kidnap Griffpatch, but the team sent in to save him intervened. After fighting them for a while, Void eventually defeated the entire rescue team and told them they failed. Griffpatch himself then tried to stop Void by convincing him that failure is not always a mistake, but sometimes the best thing that someone can do in the situation. He then threw Void out of his lair, but this did nothing to stop Void from kindapping all of them and sending them into his former cell. Afterwards, Void sent his monsters to attack -Rocket-'s lair, posing a danger for Huntedskelly and his team by the time they arrived. Fortunately for them, -Rocket- was still around to help fight off the monsters, which they did successfully. Huntedskelly then decided to recruit -Rocket- into his army so they could continue to fight off Void.
Meanwhile, Void was attacking Mr. Melon's lair while Pumpkin Boy was still attempting to contact Erif after they got separated. While Pumpkin Boy initially thought Mr. Melon had joined forces with Void, Mr. Melon clarified that he was fighting against Void, which inspired Pumpkin Boy to join forces with him. They later dropped by a Marvel fan club to recruit an army of their own to fight against Void and save Scratch. Several of the users at the fan club agreed to join them, leaving them with their own army.
Meanwhile, in the void, Sharkyshar thought of a plan for all the users trapped within the void to use their available resources to create a device capable of sending one person back into Scratch. Mergedimentions volunteered to be the one sent out of the void, as he had not fought Void and only ended up with everyone else because he jumped in to save his friend who got sucked up.
-Rocket- later led Huntedskelly and his team to a secret room in his lair, where Stickguy got the idea to transport them all to Underrated HQ, a studio run by Walle10-0 as a hangout spot for Scratch users who, despite their amazing coding skills, do not attract enough attention for Void to target them. Walle10-0 was likewise forming a team to take down Void, which Huntedskelly and his team promptly agreed to align with. One of the members of Walle10-0's team, StickmantheStickman, insisted that even with Huntedskelly's team joining forces with them, they still did not have enough recruits, which prompted Pumpkin Boy and his team to arrive, giving them more allies to work with. They later stopped by CarboardGuy06's lair so he and his friend, Tailsco11, could supply them with weapons to fight Void.
Meanwhile, Void had arrived at -BoyMcBoy-'s lair, ready to take him into the void and imprison him. However, -BoyMcBoy- had been anticipating his arrival and created a sword and shield to help himself fight against Void. Around this time, Mergedimentions was escaping the void, allowing him to save -BoyMcBoy- from Void. They fled from the scene, leaving Void on his own, and later barged into the Underrated HQ, where Walle10-0 had created a kill code designed to close off the void, potentially freeing everyone from it. Mergedimentions shared his knowledge about what was in the void, giving them all ways to fight Void and save everyone he had kidnapped.
The team later arrived at -TheGreenNinja-'s lair, where they devised a plan for Blahsblah to impersonate -TheGreenNinja- to attract Void's attention before Huntedskelly, -Rocket-, and -BoyMcBoy- would distract him, creating a diversion so everyone else could take out his army of monsters, weakening the threats that could hinder them from activating the kill code. As they executed their plan, however, it horribly backfired, as Void had already kidnapped -TheGreenNinja- and saw through Blahsblah's disguise. Void then sucked Blahsblah into the void himself and ordered his army to attack and "leave no survivors". Huntedsklly, -Rocket-, and -BoyMcBoy- still executed their phase of the plan, but Void, having already figured out their plan, used his void powers to dodge their attacks and deflect them back, attempting to kill them. During the fight, he possessed -BoyMcBoy-, forcing him to harm himself until he was too severely weakened to fight anymore. Huntedskelly and -Rocket- then continued fighting against Void without -BoyMcBoy- on their side, but it wasn't long before Void used his powers to destroy all of the three's weapons, leaving them defenseless. As he was fighting them, the rest of the team was fighting his army of monsters, which proved successful.
Void then pinned Huntedskelly, Rocket, and -BoyMcBoy- down, ready to open the portal and send them all into the void. This prompted Walle10-0 to pass the kill code to the other team members, slowly drawing it closer to the void's opening. As Stickguy threw the kill code into the void, however, Cheesenugget1 came out of nowhere and destroyed the kill code with her sword, leaving their plan futile. Pleased that he could now succeed, Void promptly dragged almost everyone at the scene into the void. He left Huntedskelly alone for the moment and mocked him about how his fame was a contributing factor in his descent into madness before attempting to drag him into the void as well. However, just as he was about to send Huntedskelly away, Erif arrived and used his hacks to decode the portal, willing to stall Void out long enough for everyone on the other side to escape. While Erif (and Pumpkin Boy, who was happy to see his friend return) were fighting Void as a distraction, Huntedskelly attempted to get help from AlexStudiosinc, Mcgullicuty, and Dbedolla22, who were the last remaining users who hadn't gotten abducted yet. Realizing their efforts would be more than likely to prove fruitless, they refused to help him. However, Walle10-0 then sent out a droid he was controlling from within the void and told them that they didn't need to use a kill code to destroy the void; they could instead cause it to lag out with a cloning script that could overload it.
Void eventually overpowered both Erif and Pumpkin Boy before teleporting them to the void. After catching up with Huntedskelly, he cut off his methods of communication and prepared to send him through the void as well, but not before AlexStudiosinc, Mgcullicuty and Dbedolla22 attacked Void to buy him some time to send out a help message. Huntedskelly threw the help message at Void, who promptly blasted it into the stratosphere. After Huntedskelly stalled Void for a minute, a former Scratch user named GoldenEagleStudios, who had moved on to YouTube and was now going by his new username, IrrationalMango, arrived to help. Void was confused by his presence, as he had already sucked him into the void; however, IrrationalMango explained that he was nearly unaffected because he was no longer part of the Scratch community, and therefore he had different code that allowed him to resist Scratch-exclusive forces. Frustrated that he couldn't fight IrrationalMango on his own, Void ordered his monsters to attack. Meanwhile, Huntedskelly was finishing the cloning script made to overload the void, and as he was finished it, Void took out both AlexStudiosinc and Dbedolla22, and he eventually caught up to Huntedskelly himself, who promptly threw the code at Mcgullicuty as he got sucked into the void. IrrationalMango then continued to fight Void, but he eventually slipped too close to the portal's opening and fell in. However, he held it open with him arms, giving Mcgullicuty the chance to dive into the void with the cloning script on hand.
With everybody else now imprisoned in the void, Void believed that he had finally won. However, Huntedskelly used the cloning script to create numerous clones of Mcgullicuty, overloading the void and causing them all to get freed. Still not willing to admit defeat, Void ordered his monsters to attack again, but this time, everybody he had kidnapped was there to fight against them, causing him to lose the battle. Huntedskelly warned him to step down from his action, but Void informed him that their efforts were practically worthless because crashing the void simply restarted it, restoring it to its full uncontrollable power, which would eventually cause it to rip through their dimension and destroy everything. He even told him that if his destiny was not to bring balance, then it was to bring out the end. Now aware that he had caused an impending omnicide, Huntedskelly decided that his last moments should be spend fighting Void to the death, so he jumped into the restarting void, pushing Void in with him.
After a brief battle, Void and Huntedskelly arrived at the void's nexus, which had grown to its full size and was due to explode at any minute. Huntedskelly attempted to convince Void not to let the nexus explode, but he rejected the offer, telling him that the nexus would explode regardless of what happened. While this did ultimately mean that Void could not win, he was still okay with it happening because it meant that Huntedskelly would lose. This prompted Huntedskelly to tell Void that the point of Scratch is not to gain fame, which Void quickly snapped at, enraged. He explained that his ulterior motive was not to gain fame, but to get revenge on the famous Scratch users for mistreating and ignoring those who were less popular. Huntedskelly then explained that he was also once an unpopular Scratch user who likewise had similar complaints about the way famous Scratchers acted, but soon grew to view them as equal to the unpopular Scratchers because they're only human and don't like to be pressurized into deviating from who they want to be or what they want to do just because of how many followers they have. He also explained that Scratch is not his first priority, nor is it possibly anyone else's, and that the only reason people use Scratch is so they can have fun creating their own projects. He and the other users imprisoned in the void then tried to convince Void not to let the nexus explode, but he quickly rejected their offer and decided to end Scratch once and for all, taking everyone with him, claiming that he no longer had a purpose because the other users took it away from him. Huntedskelly told Void that he did, in fact, have a purpose, but he hadn't found out what it was yet; Void still refused to stop the nexus from exploding, knowing that if he did, it would more than likely kill him because it had almost done that when he absorbed the void's powers. Huntedskelly then volunteered to shut down the nexus himself, asking Void for instructions, which Void saw as the opportunity to find his purpose. He then decided to expel everyone else from the void dimension, willing to shut the nexus down himself. After everyone else had gone, Void absorbed the void's powers, preventing the nexus from exploding and taking his own life in the process. Shortly after he sacrificed his life to save Scratch from the cataclysm he attempted to let happen, his monsters disappeared from the main dimension, ceasing to exist due to him no longer being around to harness the void's powers.
Trivia[]
- His original Scratch username, Diov, is "void" spelled backwards.
- Void serves as a dark foil to Huntedskelly; both started out as unpopular Scratch users who looked up to the famous users, but weren't able to understand why they ingored less popular users. However, while Huntedskelly eventually grew to understand that other Scratch users are only human like himself and have their own personal interests, Void developed a hatred for famous Scratch users and decided to enact revenge on them for "mistreating" the less popular Scratchers by ignoring them.
