~ The heartbroken crime lord promising to have his ultimate revenge |
Adrian Toomes, also known as The Vulture, is a supporting antagonist of the Marvel Fanfilm Universe. He appears as the secondary antagonist of the series The Wakandian League during the franchise' first arc. He is also set to appear in the Marvel World saga's future episodes, and is a supporting antagonist the 2023 fanfilm Spiderman: The Shocking Truth.
He is Leah Monroe's ex fiancee as well as Sanford Kirigi's father whom believes in Magneto's cause for The Hellfire Club, and he promises on her his ultimate revenge.
He is portrayed by William Dafoe, who also famously plays The Green Goblin in the old Spider-Man films.
History[]
Adrian was a ruthless and wrathful supervillain mutant who served Mangeto and acted as a lead assassin working for The Hellfire Club. He achieved a high-rank, much like Magneto's assistant Lady Deathstrike, and he fully believed in their cause; that mutants should rule everything in the existance.
Adrian later met his wife during his operation hours. He told her that his task is too dangerous for her to be around, but she surprisingly revealed to him that she's been cheating on him due to his criminal activities. Out of rage and more or less genuine tragedy, Adrian promises to get his revenge for him being heartbroken.
He then came into his mechanical "Vulture" suit which was placed in a S.H.I.E.L.D base and then he killed off two guards who came to stop him. He flew and during a game's ending, he helped Magneto attack the stadium and kill some members of The Lakers before causing the entire stadium to explode and collapse. They've killed together at least hundreds, if not thousands of people.
Later, Adrian kidnaps his own son from Leah, and he also burns down their house as an act of pure vengeance. Leah comes and sees that her house was burnt by The Vulture. She is shocked and she asks Vulture out of pure kindness why he did this if she fought he still loved her. He revealed that his promise for revenge was complete by him doing this to her. However, he does mention that he loves her but that she cheated on him and that it hurt him so he is going to have his revenge now.
She asks if her son is okay, and Adrian replies that he was taken to be experimented and brainwashed by Magneto and his chief scientist Doctor Nemesis.
She angrily called him a monster for this act, and Adrian blames her for this by saying that she chose to abandon her lover and child for another man. She angrily attacks him with her powers, but she cannot kill him even though he insisted that she does kill him now, since she still had love left for him inside her heart.
Her new lover Jackson Walker then arrived and accused him of his crimes. Despite her pleas towards Jackson to not call the forces to stop The Vulture for his crimes, he does not accept her request to keep him safe and he threatens to call the forces.
For this, The Vulture kills him, and escapes custody while Leah stands and looks at the dead man, horrified and saddened.
He later speaks to his son and convinces him to go in his costume, as the supervillain Pyro, just as planned with a task of killing Leah and burning the city to the ground. Pyro however redeems himself with Leah's help, and as The Vulture comes to kill Leah out of hatred and vengeance, his son talks him into redeeming himself. Once Adrian removes his suit and redeems himself from agression and wrath, Namor intervenes and kills him out of the ambition to avenge his own tribe. However, despite being killed, it is possible that he shall come back, as it is planned for future fanfilms.
Personality[]
Toomes is a ruthless and megalomaniacal tyrant who believes in power above humanity and decency. However, he does show that he cares for his ex lover Leah Monroe, When he wanted to get his revenge on her, he did this in order to show how heartbroken and angry he was, but he still had genuine and honest feelings for her.
This is still however no good excuse for his actions, since he bombed up a large basketball stadium, with more plans to complete later on.
Trivia[]
- He is the second live-action version of The Vulture and the first one to be extremely tragic.
