Watatsuki no Yorihime is a major antagonist in Koishi Komeiji's Heart Throbbing Adventure. She is the younger sister of Watatsuki no Toyohime and a Lunarian Princess wielding massive power and high skill in swordsmanship.
Personality[]
Yorihime is quiet, cold and insane, she despises Earth youkai and displays ridiculous amounts of sadism when killing them. She is dedicated to the goal of the Moon Descension Rite. Whenever she speaks, she is bound to deliver grand speeches of grandeur and delusions. She takes her job and her plans with utmost seriousness and will do anything to accomplish them.

Backstory[]
Yorihime and her older sister Toyohime were tasked by Lord Tsukuyomi with carrying out Human Instrumentality Project, a plot to purify the Earth, and the Moonlight Descent Ceremony, a plan to reawaken the Moon so it can reunite with it.
Yorihime and Toyohime tracked down Satori and Koishi Komeiji, two of the last remaining satoris on Earth. Approaching Satori, Yorihime presented her with artificial bodies for her and her sister to possess while Toyohime enlisted her help in carrying out the Human Instrumentality Project, which would give everyone on Earth third eyes and ensure the Komeiji sisters wouldn't be alone. Satori reluctantly agreed, and both she and Koishi were brought to Gensokyo in preparation for the Moonlight Descent Ceremony.
The Watatsuki sisters also made a deal with Koakuma, letting her keep Patchouli to herself if she helped them in their plans. As part of the deal, Koakuma would become the one to inherit the powers of all the Gensokyo residents who died as part of the Moonlight Descent Ceremony.
October 4th[]
During the early stages of the Moonlight Descent Ceremony, Koishi were framed as the cause behind the insanity after her rampage in Scarlet Devil Mansion to lure Yukari Yakumoto eliminate her, while the Watatsuki sisters dispatched Reisen II to assassinate Yukari. Afterward, the Watatsuki sisters confronted Satori in the Palace of the Earth Spirits. Where Yorihime confiscated Orin in the process. and they later have Satori’s main body destroyed.
While her sister led the Lunarian occupation of Earth in the Outside World, Yorihime went to Gensokyo to guard the Great Hakurei Border and keep anyone from destroying the gateway. She was confronted by Reimu Hakurei, Reisen Udongein Inaba, Remilia Scarlet and Kanako Yasaka when they arrived to stop her. Reisen attempted to talk her down, but Yorihime coldly bisects her head in half. Yorihime then faced off against Reimu, Remilia and Kanako and killed the latter two. Before Yorihime could kill Reimu however, the Dragon God descended and struck her right eye. Despite this, her and her sister's plans would come to fruition when Flandre Scarlet destroyed the Great Hakurei Barrier, forcing all of Gensokyo's residents into the outside world just as they had begun to be transformed into kaiju.
Outside World[]
Toyohime and Yorihime would later lead the lunar response to the kaiju "invasion", which, unbeknownst to humanity, was actually a means to focus their hope on them to complete the final step of preparation for the Descent Ceremony. the Light of the Moon. As Yorihime supervise the killing of the Kaiju, she was ambushed by Flandre Scarlet from a distance, who seek to kills her, Yorihime swiftly overpowered her, they ended up at the front of Notre Dame, where she psychologically broke her, calling her existence a sin and forcing her to face judgement under the gaze of the cathedral’s statues, before executing her.
After the Lunarians killed all the kaiju except Reimu and Marisa. Yorihime led the effort to hunt down Reimu and fought her in a one-on-one fight until Marisa showed up to help her friend. Reimu and Marisa then charged at Yorihime and performed a combined attack that successfully obliterated Yorihime, but both Reimu and Marisa injured heavily, which they eventually succumbed to their wounds.
