William "Bill" Afton, mainly known as the Purple Man or the Purple Guy, is the main antagonist of Draft 2.

A mysterious shadowy figure reported lurking around Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, the Purple Man is a bogeyman of sorts rumored to kidnap and murder children that are led astray. Though the existence of the actual "Purple Man" itself was a mere rumor, there had been reports of children going missing at Fazbear's.

At first, their bodies would never be found. However, eventually the identity of the Purple Man was adopted by Fritz Smith; a night guard at Freddy's who wished for every single chain to be shut down. He would abduct children and young teenagers, murdering them and mutilating their bodies beyond recognition. He would then hide the bodies in plain sight somewhere around Freddy's, passing them off as the work of the Purple Man. Eventually, Fritz would meet the real Purple Man.

Appearance[]

The Purple Man is depicted as a tall and skinny purple humanoid, standing seven feet tall. He is exceptionally hideous, having an abnormally long and crooked neck and a strangely shaped face with a thin vertical line splitting across it. He has large, jagged teeth shaped permanently into a smile and large, eyeless sockets leading into dark voids. He has large, pointy fingers and a yellow badge on his chest.

Biography[]

William Afton was born with various birth defects and mutations, along with a skin disease that made his skin purple. His impossible characteristics made him feared by most people he came across, making him insecure about his face. He could not live a regular life or make any friends due to his appearance, and was considered a monster. One day, he discovered Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, but knew he could not come inside. He spent hours watching through the window, and grew envious of the children having fun inside. He would begin living around the place in spots where nobody would notice him, up until one day where he finally snuck inside. He would hide in the walls of the restaurant, making sure nobody could notice him. He would snatch up children that recklessly wandered around the place, and murdering them before cannibalizing their corpses in order to survive. He would slowly begin embracing his monstrous appearance, becoming an urban legend as people caught a glimpse of him moving through the place. There were several doubts about his existence, and the company tried to cover it up as nothing more than a rumor. One night guard in particular absolutely did not believe that the Purple Man was real, but hated the company so much that he took on the identity of the Purple Man himself, tampering with the animatronics and luring children while dressing up as a yellow bear and torturing them and covering it up as the work of the Purple Man. Fritz slowly lost his sanity, and eventually encountered the Purple Man himself during a nightshift. William had always been observing Fritz, but did not like that he had been stealing his "food", nor did he like his end goal. However, William let Fritz live, knowing he was going to be caught eventually. After this encounter, Fritz's sanity began deteriorating even more. He began to worship William now knowing that the Purple Man was real, and looked up to him. He began imagining the Purple Man as an imaginary friend advising him whenever he did his killings, referring to him as Bill. William himself would continue his side of the killings, while Fritz lost his sanity more and more. Eventually, Fritz would be found out and arrested, whereas William continued to cannibalize children. Eventually, the location would finally be shut down, and William would move to a new Freddy's location, repeating the process over and over again until every single Freddy's location was destroyed.

He is heavily implied to be a cryptid.
Unlike the original FNaF timeline, neither him or Fritz turn into Springtrap.
