William Afton is the villainous main protagonist of the FNAF fan song Salvaged Rage

Biography[]

William's background is mostly left unclear, But what is known is that at some point he had three children, two sons, and a daughter, He deeply loved his youngest children Elizabeth and the crying child, But seemed to care little for his Eldest Micheal, And after Micheal accidentally killed The Crying Child, He became very abusive and When they met again when William was Springtrap, William was sent into a state of pure fury and began to brutally attack Micheal before being stopped by the phantoms and had his arm cut off by Micheal, We then go back to the past and we see William discovering Elizabeth's dead body, and is clearly heartbroken, We then see almost for a moment, He and Micheal seem to make amends, we see the aftermath of William killing the missing children, at the end of the song, We see William accepting his fate as the fire consumes him

Personality[]

William's personality throughout the song can best be described as Wrathful, As shown by his brutal attack on Micheal and the guard, In the lyrics it is very clear that he has a searing Hatred for his son Micheal

But despite this, He genuinely loved the crying child and Elizabeth as shown by how heartbroken he was about their deaths, and the reason he hates Micheal so much is due to Micheal killing the crying child (Even if it was an accident) and is shown to be grieving their deaths, This shows that despite how horrible he is, He is still a grief stricken parent who misses his children.

It's possible that he may also hate himself in some way because it's implied that he's glichtrap; he tries stabbing them and after he fails to do this he covers his face in shame. His reasoning for disliking Glichtrap is unknown.
