William Afton(also known as Purple Guy/Pink Guy or RWQSFASXC/Shadow Bonnie) is the main antagonist in upcoming THE DARK HOUSE's "The Hell in Freddy's" FNaF fan-game series, currently serving only as the main "villainous protagonist" in The Hell in Freddy's 1: The Revengeance, & going to serve as major antagonist in later instalments. He is also assumed to be the main antagonist of "Three Nights at Purply's" FNaF fan-game, made by the same creator.
He is an insane serial murderer, who is also a former co-founder of FredBear's Family Diner, & FazBear Entertainment franchise as a whole, along with Henry Emily, & his partner in crime—Simon. Together with him, they used these restaurants as their "hunting retreat" for murdering & kidnapping children, along with using them for their inhuman experiments, making him being responsible for at least 10 murders, including 5 random kids, Charlotte Emily, who was Henry's daughter, & even his own older son—Terrance Afton, who along with his friends was unintentionally responsible for "The Bite of '83" incident, & his younger brother Chris Afton's unfortunate demise.

Personality[]
It's hard to tell anything about William's character here, except he is more or less the same as his canon counterpart—he is ruthless, completely unhinged & sadistic psychopath, with no morals or standards. He just loves to make people suffer, & getting a geniune enjoyment from murdering & torturing his victims. He don't even need a clear motivation or reason to do this—he just a sick monster who does it....because he CAN!
Not to mention that in some ways he even MORE horrible than canon William, as he is so ruthless to the point he can literally kill his own son, with all of his friends, just over a simple accident. Yeah, he DID shown to geniunly love Chris, his youngest son, with the whole Missing Children Incident being result of his grieve, but yet it doesn't redeem him in the slightest, as he shown murdering even BEFORE the incident happened, with all of his earlier or later crimes having literally no motives behind it—he just killed completely innocent kids, including his business partner's daughter, just out of pure sadism.
Biography[]
Unfortunally, due to completely unfinished state of the story, it's hard to put the pieces of it together. From what we know, he had a small family, consisting William himself, Terrance Afton—his oldest son & child, Elizabeth Afton—his only daughter, & presumable middle(?) child, & Chris Afton Jr.—his beloved youngest son & child, who was named after William's own father—Chris Afton Sr. Along with that, William also had a grandfather—Alastair Afton, & grand-uncle, who happens to be Alastair's older brother—Severin Afton.
The Hell in Freddy's 1: The Revengeance[]
As the game is literally just a bunch of mini-games, it's hard to explain the story, or put the events in a correct order, so out of simplicity, this article will just describe his appearances in these mini-games in the order they are established.
I Always Come Back[]
In this mini-game, we playing as William, in his yet normal, humane appearance. We starting from a small area, probably the "Saferoom" of FredBear's, & can go to the left, where we can see an empty SpringBonnie costume, sitting on the floor. Once the player will approach him, William will wear this suit, & then, probably due to being unstable, the springlocks will snap, & literally "kill" him inside of it. Surprisingly enough, William was not only able to survive this "dismemberment", but also to just literally take off the sut, piece by piece. However, it's still heavily disfigured his body—he lost his weight, becoming extremely skinny & tall, lost all of his hair, becoming completely bald, & the most noticeably, his skin was rotten & decaying, to the point of becoming dark purple, giving him his signature "Purple Guy" form. After that, the screen will fade to black, & we will see a dark purple text, with his iconic catchphrase "I ALWAYS COME BACK" on it.
A Pink Suit[]
This mini-game show us another room, more or less similar to what we saw before, but now in the different location—"CakeBear's PizzaTime Pizza Parlor". We play as an already "zombified" William, & approaching a spare prototype empty springlock/Funtime suit, known under its code name(?) as "EE82EE"(or just "Pink Guy"). He will wear this costume then, & once he'll get up, & we will see a white glowing pupils in his eyes, the screen will fade to black, & we will see the same "Pink Guy" sprite from original FNaF 2 "Take Cake to The Children" & "Foxy's Debut" mini-games, with the pink text "IT WAS A SUIT THE WHOLE TIME" appearing at the top of the picture.
Avenge Him[]
This mini-game, yet again, starts in the similar "Saferoom", but now in, pressumably, Freddy FazBear's Pizza, with flashing red text "REVENGE" at the top of the screen. Instead of approaching SpringBonnie or Pink Guy costume, this time this is FredBear. Once William will wear it, we can go to the left & leave the room, starting going around either the Dining Area(or it's just some Party Rooms, it's hard to say). In the first "room", you can see a little boy, named Marco, standing on the other side of room. Once you'll approach him, William/FredBear will literally choke him to death. After that, you can go in the second "room", where you can see another boy, named Pablo, & William will just brutally stab him in a stomach lots of times. In a third "room", you can see a little girl, named Julie, & William will literally burst & open her chest. But once you'll get to the fourth "room", you will see a cutscene, with William taking of his FredBear costume, & the child on the other side, who is actually Terrance, William's oldest son, will be shocked & frightened, with the text at the top of the screen changing to gray line "DAD. IM SORRY. IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT". Unfortunately, these apologizes doesn't stop his daddy from pulling out a freakin GUN & literally shooting his own son right on the place. After that, the screen fades in black yet again, now with the text "IT WAS AN ACCIDENT".
According to what the wiki says, along with the DARK HOUSE themselves, this mini-game takes place somewhere after "The Bite of '83" incident, when Terrance, along with his 3 best friends—Marco, Pablo & Julie, decided to violently prank his poor little brother, by stuffing his head inside of FredBear's mouth. Then, due to Chris' tears, as he was very scared, the mechanism became wet, & FredBear literally just bitten off his frontal lob, leading to poor child's unfortunate demise.
After this incident, in order to "avenge" his beloved son, William decided to punish all of the 4 bullies by brutally murdering each of them. It's also probably implied that after their deaths, Puppet/Charlie(who was killed offscreen, after the second mini-game's events) decided to help them, & stuff their corpses inside of the local animatronics, leading their souls to possess them. Marco became Freddy FazBear, Pablo became Bonnie the Bunny, Julie became Chica the Duck, & Terrance became Foxy the Pirate Fox. What about Chris? Well, he's just probably became FredBear/Golden Freddy himself.
I Will Put You Back Together
Before desribing this mini-game, we should note the fact that Michael Afton we know from original FNaF: Sister Location DO exist in this AU, despite neither a Crying Child, nor his older brother. He is a completely separate character from them, & unlike his canon counterpart, he's not an ACTUAL biological son of William, by extension, he is not even a human in the first place! In fact, he's actually just an animatronic-like robot/cyborg, created by William to full the gap from losing all of his kids, & based on both Terrance AND Chris.
In this mini-game, we can literally see how Michael was created. We play as William, holding an empty head/mask of Michael, & start out in the similar room like in the first mini-game. We can go to the left, & we will see a Mike himself, being unfinished, with his head being an exposed endoskeleton. Once William will approach him, he will put the mask on its place, completing his new "beloved creation". After that, the screen will fade to black, with the purple text "I WILL PUT YOU BACK TOGETHER" appearing on it.
YOU CAN'T SAVE THEM[]
In this mini-game, we yet again start out in some sort of "Backroom", now in yet another Freddy FazBear's Pizza location(1987 location, to be more specific). We, yet again, play as William Afton, already wearing his SpringBonnie suit. After going to the left, we'll go to the small Party Room, with 5 happy little kids. Once you'll approach any of them, the child you approached will happily run to the backroom, & once you'll lure all of them, & go back right in front of them, William/SpringBonnie will then literally pull up A FREAKIN GUN again, & will just straight up shoot all of these kids right on the spots, just like he did with Terrance.
It's also supposed that this mini-game depicts a "Dead Children Incident" from FNaF 2, not the "Missing Children Incident", as it already happened in the third mini-game. Also this mini-game can be a prequel to original "SAVE THEM" mini-game from FNaF 2.
Run! Run! Run![]
Despite William by himself don't actually make any appearance in this mini-game, it's still should be noted, as it's the second time we can see a "Pink Guy/EE82EE" animatronic suit, linked to him, in this game.
This time, we play as Michael, during his nightshift at "Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rental" from original FNaF: SL. He is seen to be scared, running from something through some long hallway, probably Funtime Auditorium, or Scooping Room, with the words "Run! Run! Run!" at the left top corner of the screen. At the end of it, we will see the same EE82EE(Pink Guy)'s suit from the second mini-game, & once you'll approach it, Michael will quickly wear it, & sit still, trying to hide from someone. Then, Ballora, who is pressumably what Mike was running from, will enter the room, & come near, trying to find him. After that, we will see Michael's own POV, while hiding inside of this suit, with its mask(which is actually just a purple colored mask of unknown Funtime/Springlock suit from Night 4 in FNaF: SL) appearing on the black screen, along with Michael's deep breathing, that can be heard on the background. Later, the words "IM TRAPPED...." appearing at the top of the screen.
KILL HER[]
According to wiki & creator's own words, this mini-game takes place AFTER William finally died in SpringBonnie suit, but BEFORE he became "Springtrap". At some point, his soul left his "tomb", & became a disformed, time travelling, purple rabbit-like ghost, that we all know as "Shadow Bonnie"(or RWQSFASXC).
So in this mini-game, we play as Shadow Bonnie himself, & all we do is just jumping around the empty space with lots of scenes from the previously seen mini-games randomly flashing on the background. At some point, the cutscene will play, where Shadow Bonnie, during his time travelling, end up in the very same room from the very first mini-game, with William already being "zombified", & suit lying on the ground. After that, Purple Guy will curiously look at this entity, who then will start intensively glitching, with the words "KILL HER" appearing at the top of the screen.
By "her", Shadow Bonnie means Charlie, implying that this cutscene takes place somewhere between the first & the second mini-games, & is a prequel to original FNaF 2 "Take Cakes to The Children" mini-game, which takes place at CakeBear's in this universe, along with William wearing the "EE82EE" to disguise himself during the murder. So yeah, THAT was the sole reason for why William did killed this poor girl—he was just asked by Shadow Bonnie(AKA his future self). It's unknown WHY Sh. Bonnie wanted to unalive her, but for some reason, he wanted.
The Hell in Freddy's 2: The Revengeance[]
Unfortunately, the game didn't released yet, so we don't know what we exactly will get from it.
Three Nights at Purply's[]
It's still debatable if this game is canon to THiF series or not, but anyway, it's still worth to mention it.
So, just like his original counterpart, he serves as the main antagonist of this game, despite not being shown physically during the main gameplay—only in the mini-games, unlockable after each night. According to them, along with Fritz Smith's phone calls, William was Fritz' business rival, running his Freddy FazBear's Pizza the street away from Fritz' Purpy's Pizza. At some point, Afton decided to eliminate such competitor, so he secretly applied for the job here as the dayshift guard, disguising under the fake identity, known as "Dave Miller". On the next day, right before Night 3, he lured & killed 3 children, leading to the closure of the restaurant. But "Dave" wasn't satisfied, so during Fritz' last phone call, he secretly sneaked to the diner, & literally killed poor businessman, by forcefully stuffing him inside of Purply's spare springlock suit, leading to creation of "Purplytrap".
Trivia[]
- This version of William Afton is both one of the darkest, but yet one of the unironically funniest version of Purple Guy in FNaF history, due to how much unhinged, absurd, & just generally poorly-written his story is.
- The reason for that is probably due to whole THiF series being assumingly just a shitpost & parody of typical old school FNaF fan-games from 2016, like Volume 2 of TRTF, Malrat_'s old FNaTI fan-games, or later installments of FazBear RETURN series, which are known for lots of strange, non-sensical, absurd, or sometimes even controversial topics & ideas(examples: super cancer & animatronic strip-club from TRTF: The Dreadful Truth, or Zack being responsible for John Kennedy's death in FazBear RETURN universe), along with general bad writting & plot holes.
- The THiF series also seems to be a parody of some of the 2016 theories and strange canon ideas from the FNaF franchise. Examples of theories are William being motivated to kill kids due to his son's death and William's skin being actually purple. Examples of canon ideas from FNaF are a father recreating his kid as a robot, someone turning purple after death, animatronics made to kidnap kids for experiments.
- It's also possible THiF parodies more modern FNaF plot points such as "Into the pit" which is often joked to be about time travel.
- If you'll put "EE82EE" as a color code, you will get the the same very tone of pink that was used for "Pink Guy" sprite in original FNaF 2.
- William's "human" design from "I Always Come Back" mini-game, along with the whole mini-game itself, was probably a refference to William Afton's counterpart from official "Five Nights at Freddy's" novel trilogy, who was also stated to originally being pretty fat & a bit short. At some point, he also got springlocked, but it didn't killed him, instead just flattening his body, leading to his tall & skinny appearance in The Silver Eyes.
- In fact, William's nickname in Three Nights at Purply's was ALSO a refference to the same book, where William used the nickname "Dave Miller" to fake his identity while working as the nightguard. Funnily enough, it can also probably be a refference to Dave Miller from Dayshift at Freddy's series.
- Not to mention that in "Avenge Him" mini-game, William's kill animations & poses kinda fits with DSaF Dave's character, due to also being pretty cartoony & goofy.
- Along with that, William being LITERALLY purple due to springlocks may also be a refference to Dave from DSaF, who so happens to also be literally purple, which was also caused by a springlock failure(the only difference is that Dave's disfigurement was also the fault of Henry, as he not only caused his springlocks to snap, but also started experimenting on his body, by removing his organs & innards).
- "Avenge Him" mini-game has A LOT of refferences to old FNaF theories & headcanons from 2014-2015:
- First of all, William using FredBear suit instead of SpringBonnie is a refference to an old FNaF 1-2 theory, suggesting that the costume murderer used was Golden Freddy.
- Second of all, the names "Terrance" & "Chris" are the refference to "Five Nights at Freddy's: Hidden Lore" series, where Crying Child was also named "Chris", & his older brother was also named "Terrance".
- Third of all, the whole mini-game is a refference to an old FNaF 4 theory, suggesting that the Missing Children possessing FNaF 1 cast are the same kids we see in FNaF 4, with Crying Child possessing FredBear/Golden Freddy, his brother possessing Foxy, & the rest of his bullies possessing Freddy, Bonnie & Chica. That assumption was made due all 4 bullies were wearing the same mask MCI kids were wearing in FNaF 3 "The Happiest Day" mini-game, as well as Golden Freddy kid getting a birthday cake, which could symbolize how Crying Child was killed on his own birthday.
- The cut-scene with Terrance & William was probably based on/inspired by Yue Jo's "FNAF 4 : I'M SORRY part 2" video, with the creator's interpretation of Purple Guy being mad at his son for accidentally murdering his little brother. The boy even tried to apologize with pretty similar line as "IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT", with his father beating him in anger, & mockingly replying with the same words to him.
- William's gun, which he oftenly shown using to kill children, was probably a refference to a pretty popular 2014-2015 speculation about his sprite from original FNaF 2 "SAVE THEM" mini-game. To be more specific, lots of people thought that the strange object he was assumed to hold in his hands on that sprite is actually some sort of gun(you can even see a lots of fanarts about that from that era).
- Michael being a robot can be a refference to another popular theory, suggesting that Michael Afton from FNaF: SL is actually "robotic reincarnation" of Crying Child from FNaF 4. Along with that, there was
- On the other hand, there's still lots of teasers where Mike was shown to be in his "purple zombie" state, meaning that just like his canon counterpart, his corpse started rotting after he got scooped & Ennard got stuffed inside of him. Thats kinda strange, cuz if Mike is a robot in THiF universe, then how his body can decay?
- That was kinda explained in his article on THiF wiki, which states that Michael's skin-suit was an actual human flesh, & his "father" made it out by stiching together the corpses of Terrance, Marco, Pablo, Julie, & even Chris. But yet it's still pretty weird & strange, cuz by that logic, Michael should have started rotting since the first day of his creation.

Thats kinda strange, cuz if Mike is a robot in THiF universe, then how his body can decay?
- The concept of Shadow Bonnie being "William's time travelling ghost from distant future" was probably inspired by Shadow Sonic from Five Nights at Sonic's series. Just like Shadow Bonnie from THiF, Shadow Sonic is a distorted ghost of Dr. Eggman, which at some point ALSO gained a power of travelling time & space, causing various anomalies & paradoxes throughout the timeline, including the whole events of Five Nights at Sonic's 5: The First Chapter.
