~ Commander William Stryker is about to kill Charles Xavier

Commander William Stryker is a major antagonist in the Marvel Fanfilm Universe as well as the posthumous overarching antagonist of it's first arc. He first appears as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Nimrod) in the 2017 fanfilm/presentation, Dawn of The Mutants, as well as the posthumous overarching antagonist of the series' third installment, The Avengers United, and he reappears as the overarching antagonist in the X-Men prequel God Loves, Man Kills. He also returns in the form of Annihilus as one of the two secondary antagonists (along with Baron Mordo) of Avengers: In The Darkest Hours. He is a US military commander who secretly employs terrorists to help him avenge his father against the mutants. He is also the creator of The Sentinels.

He is portrayed by Kevin Costner, who also played Erich Ludendorff in the prequel film X-Men: Origin of Chaos, Anton Ego from the 2019 remake of Ratatouille, Judge Claude Frollo in the 2024 fanmade Disney based presentation The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Bo Jenix from the political movie Xi Jinping.

History[]

Background[]

William Stryker's father has dealt with different terrorist groups from Iraq to end mutant kind. As a result, The Mutant Brotherhood killed Stryker's father. Eversince, Stryker has being plotting against mutant kind, and was operating under Commander Lyman's supervision.

Beginnings[]

Many years after his father's death in the hands of Magneto and Lady Deathstrike, Commander Stryker has plotted against all the mutants of the US and beyond, and he hosted a meeting with Bolivar Trask and President Jack Harvey, as he talked to them about his work against the mutants while he was accompanied by Jay Banner. He at first tries to convince President Harvey to accept his plans against the mutants, which include creating Sentinels which could be powerful enough to kill all mutants and even other races very easily. However, as Harvey rejects his ideas for being too dangerous and disturbing, Stryker shoots him and then he bribes Trask into aiding him and Jay Banner. However, The Toad secretly steals the idea of creating Sentinels from Trask and he reprograms the ones which were already created by Trask Industries. Stryker eventually stands outside the white house and he receives a report from Jay Banner, and he also realizes that Trask was killed by The Toad who stole their technology and created millions of new Sentinels in order to conquer the entire planet and kill everyone whom he despises or that he sees not fit for living in the universe. Stryker is almost killed by The Sentinels, commanded by their leader Master Mold. However, after Beast and Shadowcat save him, he retreats as he swears to get his full revenge on the mutants. After The Toad died and his Sentinels were all deactivated, Stryker blamed the mutants infront of Lyman for causing the attacks together with Toad. Lyman gave him permission to end the mutantkind. He then received reports from his mercenary Victor Creed.

War against The Mutant Brotherhood[]

Commander William Stryker at first meets with his lietuant, Jay Banner. They discuss about Magneto who hacked into the minds of The Sentinels during the last night. Together with Jay and the chief scientist David Banner, Stryker goes to review their final project; Nimrod. David and Jay mentioned that Nimrod was unsafe due to some technical errors in his A.I (artificial intelligence). Nimrod auto-activated himself and shot laser at Stryker. The next moment, Nimrod escaped the facility. Commander Stryker is shocked, however, he ignores the whole mess done with Nimrod and goes on his journey to destroy the mutants. He at first manages to invade a mutant base. As he starts revealing his plans (which are to avenge his father and destroy mutant kind by employing terrorists and developing weapons), and his men were about to shoot Psylocke, Kurt Wagner and Charles Xavier, Magneto enters the room and kills most of his soldiers. However, one soldier survived and managed to shoot Magneto to his presumable death. Commander Stryker retreated from the mutant base, and went to take care of his amino missile. He later went to discuss his next move on the mutants with Jay Banner, who told him that the formula of anti-mutagon is ready for use. It was an extremly powerful and deadly formula which could spread across mutant genes and kill thousands of mutants, if injected properly into one mutant only. Jay later abducted David Charles Heller, and together with Stryker and David Banner, he tortured David and then injected him with the anti-mutagon. That caused both David and Storm (Orou Monroe) to die within a few minutes.

Final battle against the mutants[]

Stryker later ordered Jay, to tell his men that the amino missile must be launched onto Storm's base. The rocket eventually hits Storm's base, killing dozens of mutants. On the same night, he asked Victor Creed (a spy which he sent after the mutants, including his girlfriend Psylocke) for reports. Victor Creed however betrayed Stryker's trust, and told him that he found Psylocke as his love interest. Victor then threw a grenade at Stryker and ran towards a helicopter. Victor managed to fly the helicopter elsewhere and retreat, leaving Stryker injured. After recovering through the night, Jay told Stryker that his father David was recently killed by a group of Sentinels. Stryker joined the fight between The Sentinels and The Mutants, intending to destroy both of the other sides. Charles Xavier encounters Commander William Stryker, and asks him to realize what madness The Sentinels are brining to the innoncents. Stryker however points a gun at Xavier, and tells him he has been dreaming for many years to destroy the mutant kind for his father. Stryker was going to shoot Xavier, as he briefly said goodbye to him. However, Xavier quickly used his powers and he killed William Stryker, telling him that he has lost.

Legacy[]

It is revealed that Stryker has a son called Jason, who later became Baron Mordo, and vowed to avenge his father. It is said that Jason Stryker would release Dormammu and bring the world to it's end.

He is also revived later on by the combined efforts of Dr. Arnim Zola and Thanos. He becomes the supreme commander of The Black Order and he is ordered to shoot a weapon from his space craft at many planets, including Earth itself. However, Psylocke enters the vehicle with Doctor Strange and the two invade his control room. Psylocke promises Strange to obliterate the room and cause the ship to destroy itself. She uses her powers in order to do so. Strange escapes, and out of frustration, Annihilus brutally murders Fury before he rushes to kill Doctor Strange. Strange however manages to knock him out and escape before the beast commander wakes up. After Annihilus recovers and enters the control room to see what has happened, Psylocke blasts the ship and as Strange escapes with a third vehicle, Annihilus dies as the ship obliterates itself.
