Win Token is a major character in the Random's Object Universe franchise, serving as the main protagonist of the upcoming web series Objectlandia, created by JustMeudy2008 (also known as Random).
He is an idiotic, selfish and yet kind and caring anthropomorphic green token who serves as the owner and CEO of one of the biggest companies in Objectlandia, Token Enterprises, having inherited his family's vast fortune from his "late" father, who was a famous athlete and billionaire, and his late mother, who was a famous swimmer. He lives in the capital city of Objectlandia alongside his brother, Immunity Token, his sister Lose Token, and his two best friends 6-Ball and Grass Block, who all care for him and give him the love he so desperately wants since childhood.
Despite the series revolving his various adventures and shenanigans in the series with an extended cast of supporting characters and him being the series' protagonist and "hero", there are numerous moments where he serves in antagonistic, if not outright villainous roles for his own amusement and enjoyment.
He is voiced by the creator, JustMeudy2008.
Appearance[]
Win Token, as the name suggests, appears to be an anthropomorphic green meta, token based off the token of the same name from the Battle for Dream Island series.
Personality[]
Due to being born to a wealthy and relatively famous family in Object City, this has led to Win Token gaining quite a bit of an ego due to this. He is a egotistical, lazy, slothful, arrogant, wrathful, vindictive, violent, if not outright sadistic person who tends to use his power as CEO of Token Enterprises to abuse and hold power over other people for his own amusement. Most of his negative traits amount to either abusing his power to do whatever he wants with the city, like either opening a shopping mall in the center of the city to advance his business to be the richest man in all of Objectlandia, or burning down and destroying all of Object City, just because he is bored. This unpredictability has led him to be considered a dangerous foe despite his innocent appearance and has led other people to even fear him as they have no idea what would happen if Win Token will enter the same room as them, as they fear he will either hurt them or harm them, which shows off his unpredictaility and inconsistent nature.
One of Win Token's primary character traits, other than his unpredictaility, is his massive unchecked ego and narcissism. He is a considerably egotistical, selfish, arrogant and narcissistic person who has little care towards others, even his own family. While he does act polite to people he doesn't know, chances are it isn't genuine, and in the rare cases it isn't genuine, it's considerably less so than to people he actually knows. His ego is so massive that if it were to separate from his body, which it has before, than it would be bigger than his entire house, which shows how much unchecked ego and narcissism he really has.
Another one Win Token's defining traits his reckless, impulsivity and most especially, his dimwittedness. Win Token is an easily bored person who gets impatient when thing seems boring, which leads him getting addicted to fast-paced activities, just to satisfy his own boredom. But this restlessness and impulsiveness can lead to him making stupid and dumb decisions that can cause lots of destruction, with him showing little to no care or remorse for damage he causes, showing his careless and dimwittedness. Win Token is considered so stupid that the only reason why he didn't get left back throughout his time in school is because his parents apparently bribed the school into letting Win Token pass, which shows how stupid he truly is.
Win Token is also considerably sadistic, as he loves inflicting pain and causing pain to other for little to no reason, as he tends to enjoy hurting and causing pain to other to satisfy his own sadism, he even tends to kill people if they even annoy him slightly, which shows his pettiness and sadism. However, like any normal person, he does have some limits against his sadism, as he doesn't like it when people permanently kill others without any form of recovery, as it means that they have no chance of coming back, which he doesn't like as even though he is a murderer, he doesn't go THAT far, showing he has standards.
Win Token also tends to have a nasty and violent temper, as he deals with SEVERE anger issues and can get angry a lot, especially when people wrong him or insult him, which leads him to yell at them in rage, which he shows little, but sometimes genuine and honest, remorse what he's done. He HAS been getting help though, as he has an anger management therapist named Crystal Ball who helps him with anger, but he still tends to get angry from time to time, but not as much as before.
One of Win Token's more surprising yet ironically unsurprising traits is his xenophobia against non-objects, as while it is true he is the Leader of the Objectlandia political party, said political party is all about object supremacy against non-objects, because, as the party's motto states: "Only objects belong in Objectlandia!", which shows how he has a negative view of non-objects. However, despite his xenophobia, he can be respectful to certain non-objects, especially those with more traditional object limbs, which shows his respect as well as his hypocrisy, as he does have certain limits to his xenophobia, but also the fact that he views certain members of the race he hates as better than the others, even if he claims he hates all non-objects.
However, despite of how awful he is, Win Token isn't that heartless as he has had his moments of genuine care for others, like his siblings Lose Token and Immunity Token, his best friend 6-Ball, and his best friend and crush Grass Block, the closest people in his life he would do anything for, even laying down his life for them, showing his small amount of selflessness in spite of his egotism.
But, underneath the vain and egotistical demeanor, lies a lonely and sad young man who just desperately wants the love and attention that he so desperately wanted since childhood, having dealt with neglectful parents who only wanted him to follow in their footsteps instead of truly loving him, and this leads him to acting all egotistical to gain love and appreciation and to please his parents.
Overall, Win Token is a vain, egotistical, narcissistic, arrogant and almost destructive individual who deals with a lot of insecurities about living up to his parents expectations but has some genuine sympathetic qualities that make him more likable to other people. But, later on, Win Token most learn that if he wants to be truly loved, he needs to make the change to be better instead of being this individual he is, or was.
Trivia[]
- Win Token is based off the the token of the same name from the Battle for Dream Island series, and his personality is slightly based off it, as many winners, not all of them, tend to brag about their status as winners, which Win Token is based off.
- There is also a recommended character of the same name that was recommended multiple times in the series.
- Because of this, he, alongside some other characters on this wiki make a peculiar case of Adaptational Villainy as the recommended character predates his creation by 2 years, while the creator of Win Token was unaware there was a recommended character of the same name until later on.
- There is also a recommended character of the same name that was recommended multiple times in the series.
- He is also based off the Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist and Villain Protagonist tropes as I feel like those tropes fit his personality the most.
- The only thing preventing him from being a full-on villain protagonist is the fact that he has also done some admirable things that can be considered heroic to be a full-on villain protagonist.
- He, alongside the rest of his siblings, are based of the items of the same name from the Battle for Dream Island series.
- He, alongside his closest siblings Lose Token and Immunity Token are the only siblings to be shown so far due to being part of the main cast, but the rest of the siblings will appear in a future episode.
- Win Token was meant to be siblings with another OC of mine named Dime, but due to me finding out that their relationship would be illogical due to coins and tokens, being similar but ultimately unrelated things, it was scrapped.
- He was initially perceived to be a tragic figure due to being a victim of parental neglect and abuse, but there's a chance he might become Fake Tragic in the future if he manages to outweigh and move on from his tragedy, which may be likely due to his awful crimes throughout the series.
- His voice claim is Travis Willingham, who is well known for voicing Roy Mustang in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, Portgas D. Ace in One Piece, Black Zetsu in Naruto, Cameron Campbell in Camp Camp, Thor in various Marvel projects and Knuckles the Echidna in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise from 2010-2018.
- The reason why I chose Travis to be Win Token's voice claim is because I feel like Travis' more high-pitched roles fit Win Token's bold and confident nature.
- Edward Bosco, who voiced James from Team Rocket for the final few episodes of the Ash Ketchum era of the Pokémon anime was also considered to be his voice claim, but was later replaced due to the creator finding Travis' voice more interesting than Bosco's.
