The original incarnation[]

Xuriah-2

Xuriah D'arcmast'r (Born: Xyras Xolgin) is a psychopathic Super-Enhancer, one of the first Enhancers to be born. Design by cosmic beings to be both the Ultimate Lifeform and as the multiverse's greatest protector. However, once he grew bored of playing hero, he decided to use his powers to do whatever he wanted and killed his old creators. He became the founder of one of the most powerful factions in the omniverse known as the Omni-Confederacy that conquers worlds in his quest for unlimited power.

He shares the Big Bad role with Nekrozoth due to being one of Multiversal Legends most prominent Villains if not the Armored Studios omniverse as a whole, having fought several heroes like Zakk, Master Mueller, Legend, and the Champions as a whole but he especially plays as one of Daevios's arch-enemy.

Tropes[]

  • 0% Approval Rate: Downplayed, he has followers who are loyally devoted to him but in the villain community he is not well-liked due to his pompous attitude and being so childishly arrogant in his god complex that other villain finds him insufferable. However, they do acknowledge they preferred to be with him than the likes of Reptilomage (who is even more egotistical than him).
  • A God Am I: His most defining trait is his over-bloated ego, being so large he considers himself a god amongst men if not other gods. It's one of the biggest if not the main reason for turning evil in the first place. There's also the fact he started several religions that practice the worship of Xuriah, posing as gods or messiah figures such as Zeus and Raptorius the Reptile God. He gone so far in seeking to conquer the whole omniverse by wiping out every species and replacing them with his own that'll worship him.
  • Arch-Enemy: There's a lot of people he hates or looks down upon, but these are people whom he especially has deep enmity towards, and the feeling is shared towards him.
    • To Daevios Brightmore sharing the role with Nekrozoth, the two have nothing positive to say to each other with Xuriah having nothing but seething hatred of the legendary hero as much as Nekrozoth does. Regarding the man as a "Useless, childish monkey", whom he tries to one up every chance he gets. He regards him as his biggest foe yet.
    • Annukai Parthemetheus AKA Doctor Prometheus is second on his list of people he wants dead. The two were once friends but Xuriah saw Annukai's creation of the human race and giving them Enhancer abilities as an act of betrayal, and so he locked him up to be tortured for millions of years as an act of spite. Annukai, obviously, does not forgive him for this and for trying to wipe out his own creation and would do anything to protect them from the madman.
    • He regards the Primion Lord O'Haru as such for his jealously towards the king of all Primes. He is envious of his lifestyle, his powers, and supreme authority and wanted to be like him. However, this would become an unhealthy obsession of the Omni-Emperor to the point he mimics everything he has to make him feel better. It gotten to the point that when O'Haru rewarded him with a Crimson Omni-Crystal for his services, but gave the rest tot the other heroes, he took it as an offense and thought he was pitying him which is one of his two main reasons for his descent to depravity. He's that petty...
    • He is also this to Oberon Xenoheim, his Good Counterpart who is opposite to him in every way. While they're both have God complexes, Oberon isn't that much of an egotist or having the sociopathic arrogance Xuriah has. He's basically Xuriah if he was on the side of good, though can be morally dubious at times, he has a lot more restraint that the former.
    • Delnos himself especially harbors some resentment towards him, for not only kidnapping Eterna (essentially his sister-figure) and tried to use her as a hostage to keep him in line, but for all almost costing him his empire and being a rival in the evil business. Xuriah himself doesn't see him as that much as a threat compared to the others, however he still acknowledged him as competition and wasn't happy learning he betrayed the Doomsday Alliance (though he wasn't surprised about it).
  • Ambitions Is Evil: Even as a guardian, Xuriah always had a hunger for power with his obsession of replacing the Omni-Emperor and becoming the undisputed ruler of the Omniverse. This only grew worse when he gained a god complex and thought he was more suited of being a conqueror than a guardian of those he saw as too weak to fend for themselves. He wouldn't stop at ruling entire worlds, he seeks to usurp Nekrozoth as the ruler of evil and Az'naru as the wielder of Good so he could rule both sides of Good and Evil.
  • Ax-Crazy: He may act like a sophisticated man who can put up an affable facade, but he is underneath it all a barbaric sociopath who'll eat and torture on a whim when suits him and has an outrageously massive ego to boot. He is so psychopathic he has a tendency to kill his men or go on mass slaughter when he's pissed off.
  • Abusive Parent: He doesn't give two shits about his own kids (who are gene-spliced from his DNA), he'll murder them himself, scoffs off their deaths or demean them as disappointments and abominations. While he is capable of picking favorites, even that has limits as it comes across as seeing them as extensions of himself or merely seeing value in their skill.
  • A Nazi By Any Other Name: His empire is extremely facistic, much akin to Nazi Germany, with having genocidal tendecies with their Darwinis philosophy with blatant eugenic ideologies. Xuriah is a stand-in for Hitler, and is blatantly racist and misanthropic, holding a deem view on humanity and monsters alike. It doesn't help he has genuine Nazi allies who works for him in the past and serve him to this day.
  • The Archmage: He is a master wizard with ages of training and usage of arcane magic and power, even the usage of mystical objects and whatnot. Even Xharon, the Prime Alpha of Magic acknowledges him as one of the most powerful magic users in existence. He was so powerful that Shadow Ahriman, a fellow Prime Omega who is a master of dark magic eons before Xuriah was even born, was killed by him. Master Mueller himself admits he can't take him head-on which is why he asked for the help of Daevios to take him down.
  • The Ace: Being the Ultimate Life Form: A genius mad scientist who can create clones and monsters along with weapons of mass destruction, a powerful archmage who bitch slaps demons of Hell to submission, and a strategic conqueror who possesses years of experience in combat and military might that helps him conquer whole universes. Think Doctor Doom but as a Multiversal Conqueror.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: His design and manner are meant to evoke this when he's not wearing his supervillain outfit, a power armor, or anything of the sort.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: Is the leader of the Doomsday Alliance and used his powers to demonstrate why he became this in a league full of cosmic tyrants and destructive entities.
  • Actually A Doombot: Whenever the heroes thought they killed him once and for all, it ends up revealing to be one of his many, many clones he has created.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: He and Nekrozoth are not only the main antagonists of Multiversal Legends but the Armored Studios as a whole. They are the most influential of the verse and responsible for a lot of events, including crossovers one way or another. However...
  • Big Bad Wannabe: If Nekrozoth is around, he'll remind you who's the greater evil in charge, usurps him, and makes Xuriah a chump in comparison more often than not.
  • Been There, Shaped History: He created Atlantis as an experiment, saw it crumbled, had his hands on the Jack the Ripper event being the one who recruited and empowered the crazed serial killer, was there during World War II, was Zeus back in the day and lead the Roman Empire before he decided to crumble it when he saw it as too weak.
  • Bad Boss: To say he is this is an understatement, he sees his men as expendable, and failure is unforgivable. He'll melt them down, eat them, send them to be tortured physically and mentally, and use them as guinea pigs for his experiments. At least Nekrozoth has moments of treating his higher-ranking subordinates generously compared to Xuriah even if pragmatic.
  • Beard of Evil: has a devilishly forked goatee to show his evilness.
  • Berserk Button: He hates being reminded on the fact he can't be O'haro or surpass Daevios, or being called an iguana.
  • Big Eater: Shown to eat whole tables worth of luxurious food... And people. Even going on fancy restaurants to eat vast amounts of food to gorge himself.
  • Badass Bookworm: As stated on the Ace, he's a formidable opponent who utilizes his mind which is his most dangerous weapon.
  • Beyond Redemption: Zayne once attempted to dig into his past to see if he could find anything to find a semblance of the goodman he was once was. Sadly, Xuriah makes it blatantly clear he will never change, his ego mixed with his sociopathic nature makes it clear he takes sadistic pride in the things he does and believes it's his right as a god to do these atrocities.
  • The Chessmaster: He's a strategist and a patient schemer. He once staged a dimension wide prison break successfully and amassed an army of demons to aid in his campaign of conquest of an entire dimension which proved successful.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: He founded the Masters Industries under the alias "Xachuriah Masters" that manufactures in illegal experimentation, enslavement and trafficking of aliens, funding and backing criminal organizations and the eradicates of all human life on Earth.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: He is fully aware of the monster he has become and doesn't care; he embraces it and okay with the way he is. Though this is downplayed as he really doesn't care about it or if people saw him as a good man, thinking he's above such concepts but he does admit he found the concept of evil more fun. He does want to usurp Nekrozoth as the ruler of all evil though.
  • Combat Pragmatist: He's not above using any method to win in a fight, willing to resort to use any weapon he could get to gain the upper hand.
  • The Caligula: He is a depraved, egotistical despot who rules with an iron fist and crushes civilizations beneath his feet. He rules Urizekia as a hellhole where the principle of living is pure Social Darwinism alone or the penalty is mass slaughter and torment. The worse punishment you'll receive is being sent to Urizakia's equivelant of Hell for not seeing Xuriah as a god!
  • Classic Villain: Pride, Wrath, Envy, and Ambitions are his defining traits in his personality. He's entitled to have everything in his mind, saw himself a superior being to all beings, and seeks to prove himself better to his arch-rival, Daevios Brightmore, as well as destroying him and his family as an act of spite for humiliating him and besting him in the past. Asides from that, his desire is complete omniversal domination (through mass genocide and subjugation). In fact, his whole existence was meant to convey traits of a classic villain (I mean with the name like D'arcmast'r, are you surprised?).
  • Cult of Personality: His followers who aren't planning to betray him worships him as a god and sought to gain his approval. Folks like Keplard suck up to him and there's a whole religion in the practice of the worship of Xuriah believing himself to be the creator of everything (which to be fair, he has created a planet and several whole species of his own).
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Not as frequent but he does betray those who are no longer useful to him, but it comes to play when he's not in charge and considering his ego it should come to no surprise.
  • Demiurge Archetype: His true form very much draws from the Demiurge/Yaldabaoth of Gnostic beliefs with the added falsehood on his divinity and drive to pretend to be the Top God like O'Haru when he's not at all this.
  • Diabolical Mastermind: Runs a criminal network composed of evil entities and demons, as well as being the founder and leader of the Doomsday Alliance along with fellow conquerors and tyrants.
  • Dark Messiah: Mixed with A God Am I, he is this as well to his followers.
  • Demon Lord and Arch-Devil: He became this eventually as the story progresses, to the point he became one of the last two rulers of Hell and sought to be a full Satanic Archetype if not Satan himself during his civil war with Billy Nekronan.
  • Death Is Cheap: He is immortal with a rediculous healing factor and durability, but even if he dies, he can simply transfer his conscious to his clone back up bodies which he always makes for such an occasion.
  • Determinator: He will not stay dead or defeated, nor give up on his goals, which something even Nekrozoth is amazed by.
  • Doomsday Device: He loves making these when he can't rule a planet or a universe, so he settles with an alternative and just creates a weapon of mass destruction for... Mass destruction. Sometimes he makes them for fun when he's bored.
  • Driven By Envy: Other than his pride, his biggest reason, possibly the pettiest, is he is so jealous of O'Hara's immense power and authority in the omniverse as its "Omni-Emperor" that he can't stand the fact someone like him is ruling when it should be him. It gotten to the point he mimics what O'Hara has: from the guards, the outfit, his personal Angel Attendee, and the title is all a highlight of his insecurities and obsession that he wants to be the Omni-Emperor. Him thinking the Omni-Emperor was aware and pities him was the last straw for him and became the evil dictator he is today.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: He took offense that O'Haru pities him for giving him a Crimson Omni-Crystal (when he really isn't, he wasn't even aware of Xuriah's insecurities in the first place) which led him to be evil.
  • Darkseid Duplicate: He is in some ways this, ruling a hellish planet with an iron fist and conquers others in his megalomaniacal quest for total domination. Sought ultimate power by finding an artifact to achieve their goals and has spades of Dark Is Evil to them.'
  • Deal With The Devil: Has made several pacts with demons such as Thaddeus J. Genocide and Nazaroth. He also makes deals with other villains and humans who are in search of great power like him.
  • Expy: He has several:
    • Both Vandal Savage and Apocalypse (En Sabah Nur) are the biggest with the former's design and the latter's powers and personality of being a ruthless social Darwinist to the extreme.
    • There's also Doctor Doom who's possibly more in line with Xuriah (minus the lack of redeeming qualities for Xuriah): Both are supervillains who uses their genius to become one of the most powerful sorcerers and intelligent geniuses in their verse, they rule their own domain (Latveria for Doom and the planet Urizekia for Xuriah), both are hellbent on conquest and domination, they have a hateful rivalry with their archnemesis whom they knew in the past and sought to prove themselves better than them no matter what even becoming enemies of their whole families and team, both uses duplicates to fight their enemies and faking their deaths (Doom has his Doombots while Xuriah has his clones), Xuriah especially has a costume of his own very reminiscent of Doctor Doom's famous attire. However what Xuriah lacks is Doom's honor and genuine good intentions of bettering the world while Xuriah is power-hungry for the sake of being power-hungry.
    • Father from Fullmetal Alchemist is this too, even Xuriah has an outfit very much drawing inspirations from the Homunculus himself. He spawned offsprings who are based on the Seven Virtues as how Father spawned the Seven Sins.
  • Evil Overlord: Ruler of the Omni-Confederacy and a Multiversal Conqueror to boot.
  • Even Evil Has Standards:
    • Well not really, but even he can't stand his right-hand man Xenova AKA Reptilomage's ego which says a lot coming from him. The guy is a blatant antagonistic narcissist with an uncontrollable wrath and sense of pride that surpasses even Xuriah, and has a delusional sense of superiority at often clashes with Xuriah whenever he thinks he should be in charge. Because of that Xuriah found him annoying due to his constant jerkass behavior and has to be the one to remind him his place, he stated himself he'd kill him if he didn't have any use for him.
    • Xuriah has shown to be hesitant on unleashing the reality-warping man-eating demon Thaddeus J. Genocide because of how dangerous he is, which is why he preferred to use him as an ultimatum and not one to be used willy nilly. Though he does not mind this and the hesitation is merely stemming from pragmatism at best, so this is subverted.
    • He has a low-opinion on bank-robbers and petty thieves, considering them a worthless type of evil who's whole existence is just pathetic. He also has no fondness for holding people hostages for mere cash, in fact he especially hates it when it's a full-blown supervillain with immense power who does this because such a thing is a pure waste of one's powers. If you had the power to rule the world, don't waste it on such trivialities, use it.
  • Emperor Scientist: He rules his empire with an iron fist and is a mad scientist to boot, in fact most of his kingdom is technological full of bio-engineered creatures of his design (even most of the planet and structure were made through his brilliance and intellect).
  • Eviler Than Thou: Often suffers this whenever Nekrozoth is around who proves to be the worse of the two big bads.
    • Has demonstrated this a couple of times himself to the likes of the White Witch, Reptilomage, and Shadow Ahriman the latter of whom tried this on Xuriah but fails devastatingly. Then there's Malem Darkstein who's soul he enslaved and made into a minion.
    • He did this to his own creator, Xigotis wanted to use him as a weapon and a pawn so he could reignite his time as an evil tyrant plaguing the entire omniverse, but Xuriah proves to be so vastly superior to Xigotis in just about everything that he made him into a second-rate stooge of his.
    • Delnos wasn't safe from this either, a fellow multiversal conqueror and demon he maybe, Xuriah demonstrates why even demons are scared of him by committing atrocities that even Delnos is disgusted by. Xuriah even once captured, tortured, and even hold Eterna, someone Delnos greatly cares about, hostage just to keep Delnos in line. Even Delnos admits it be foolish of him to face Xuriah head on considering how vastly powerful he is.
  • Equal-Opportunity Evil: Downplayed, but he is willing to recruit humans and monsters to aid him in his plans... Sadly he's both a massive racist to monsters and a stone-cold misanthrope that he'll immediately kill them with zero issues, especially if they are no longer useful to him.
  • Evil Genius: He has a field in about everything, but especially enjoys his preferred knowledge on biology from genetic experiments in creating his own monsters to full-blown cloning. He created a technological civilization with his intellect alone, build a whole new species, managed to unlock power that gave him practically near omnipotence, a strategist and tactician who led many successful conquests, and several other things.
  • Evilutionary Biologist: He is a mad scientist with a firm Darwinist belief, who believes in the theory of Evolution and thinks he embodies the very essence of it. He uses it to create a species to treat him like a god, several scientists becoming his followers in hopes of achieving a much grander Evolution to become gods themselves.
  • Evil Brit: Has this voice most of the time.
  • Evil Counterpart: He acts as an evil shadow to Daevios: both are powerful men, one of the strongest in the omniverse, forming their own families who's sons wants to live up to their fathers' legacies, being the ones who inspired mythological deities (Daevios was Sun Wukong while Xuriah was Zeus). Both are viewed as deities too. While Daevios is cocky, a wise-cracker, and a laid-back jokester who retires from heroism in disinterest in it along with care and campanionship with his friends and loved ones, Xuriah is a serious and vicious egomaniac who views highly of himself and makes it very clear he will never give up his obsession with conquest and can be a jerkass to those around him and views such concepts as weakness. Xuriah and Daevios also contrast each other on how they treat their family: Daevios loves his family and is very protective of them, but also supports them especially his son who wants to live up to his legacy as a great hero. Meanwhile, Xuriah could care less about his children even when they get harmed if not killed, and view them as new better as minions, sometimes an extension of himself. Daevios defends the weak and those who can't fend themselves, and view those who would do great harm to them as no better as sadistic bullies. Xuriah on the other hand embodies something Daevios despises, a Social Darwinist who enjoys slaughtering and enslaving those he views as weaklings and is a genocidal maniac who wants to cleanse the omniverse of inferior beings that aren't him. Daevios had a great father who was a prodigy, and a warrior who protects worlds, while Xuriah's creator was both a conqueror and a genocidal mad scientist with a hunger for power.
  • Evil Plan: He always concocts a scheme to conquer the Omniverse and usurp the great Omni-Emperor and take his place.
  • Evil Is Petty: Lives and breathes off of this trope, Xuriah can't be in the same room as Daevios or O'Haru without being anything but petty towards them. Even his minions and enemies aren't safe from his wrath.
  • Evil Is Bigger: He towers almost every human in the series, even other entities like Devos, Legend, and Thanatos.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He can be quite sociable and act like a gentleman with a sense of culture, just to hide how psychopathically unhinged he is.
  • Fangs Are Evil: Has shown his sharp-as-knives teeth whenever he's transforming into his more monstrous form, to show that for all his human-like appearance that he is anything but that.
  • Freudian Excuse: We learn that his father, Xigotis G. Noms, created him to be a personal weapon for him to use for multiversal conquest, born from many failed experiments from Xigotis after killing off his predecessors, then was launch on Earth to adapt the harsh environments at the time along with other beings like him such as Oberon as a form of Training From Hell. The inhabitants who were evolving at the time treated him like a freak and driven him away, but as he grew older he was treated like a god after figuring out how his powers works. This is where both his misanthropy and egotism stems from, safe to say he didn't have a perfect childhood.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: However, despite all of this, this does not garner any sympathy towards him. It was pointed out many times he still has a choice to be a better person, and use his powers for the good of everyone, which he consistently rejects doing due to his own selfishness. Even he doesn't use it as an excuse, and was pointed out that many suffered the same thing like him and don't grow up as egomaniacal mass-murderers and tyrants, Daevios too suffered a lot more than Xuriah ever had: He lost his parents and tribe, was enslaved during his whole childhood by the man who killed his parents and tribe, he experimented on and while he did have his issues at the time he learn to be a better person and actually use his powers to protect others who suffered like him unlike Xuriah who choose to make others suffer for his amusement. What doesn't help that during all this, Xuriah has shown to be a bad guy from the start, as soon as he was born the first thing he did was killing one of the scientists who birthed him.
  • Familial Foe: He and Nekrozoth acts as the arch-enemy to Daevios and the entire Brightmore bloodline for generations, with Xuriah in particular wants to spite Daevios by making his own family to counter his in order to not only kill him but make his family suffer. Nekrozoth has the same opinion but wants to just make them suffer for eternity.
  • Fatal Flaw:
    • His Pride, something that has outdue him many, many times before. His arrogance in his own abilities has led him to his own defeat, to the point that later on in the series he becomes a shall of his former self and not as big as a threat he once was just to show that under all that power is just an overconfident man with childish dreams of grandeur.
    • His wrath and pettiness are this too, he could easily ignore his petty rivalry on Daevios had it not been for his pride getting in his way and letting it get the better of him.
  • For The Evulz: He can be quite a sadist, no better than the likes of Niklovich and Nekrozoth. He once blown up a city Devos once saved. Why? Just to spite the boy, pure utter spite.
  • From Nobody To Nightmare: Was a lowly worm-like dragon being, to a brutal conqueror of worlds who rules tyrannical with an iron fist.
  • Fantastic Racism: He has a low opinion on the human race, fondly addressing them as "Monkeys" as a slur, but he looks down on monsters as equally if not more for scaring his face. His hatred of both goes to genocidal proportions, he even hates the Enhancer race which he is a Progenitor of just because he can't stand being part of a same species as them: so, he called for their eradication.
  • Foil: He is this to Nekrozoth, both multiverse-conquering dark lords who seeks ultimate power, has shared the role of archenemy to Daevios, both are world destroying psychos with a sadistic streak and rule a powerful ever-expanding empire with an iron fist, but they also have several differences. Nekrozoth is a borderline Omnicidal Maniac and a Physical God who wants to destroy the omniverse so he could rebuild it in his image while Xuriah sought to conquer the omniverse and isn't as omnicidal (though his method of conquests borders on that) and has a god complex who thinks himself as a god and should be treated as such. Nekrozoth is more comparable to a Satanic Archetype while Xuriah is a Demiurge Archetype, one is a Card-Carrying Villain with a Devil Complex (often addressing themselves as a "Demon King") while the other thinks of themselves as a divine supreme being who while card-carrying himself also has no true care for morality such as Good and Evil. The irony is that Nekrozoth is dressed in a bright yellow armor and his demon form is bright yellow, giving off a vary of Light Is Not Good vibes while Xuriah is dressed in all black and dark shades of purple giving off the Dark Is Evil trope instead. Nekrozoth main shtick is taking life on a mass scale fitting to his Omnicidal Maniac tendencies while Xuriah is a mad scientist who uses his knowledge to create life on several planets he has conquered so he could be worshipped as a god.
  • Greater-Scope villain: He is behind a lot of villains, but particularly he's this to the Zakk series, Beyond: Mystics and Aliens, and so many others.
  • Genius Bruiser: He is a genius in almost any field and is a physical combatant who utilizes sheer destructive power to defeat his foes and eons of combat experience and military stratagem. One of his perks is that if he sees a move or fighting style once, he'll copy it and immediately makes it better than the other person who does it.
  • Healing Factor: His nanobots helps him recover quickly from damage, having once survived a blast from a multiverse destroying superweapon made by Mendax. He gives Wolverine a run for his money in that department.
  • Hero Killer: Xuriah has killed an exceptional number of heroes who stood in his way, during the "Prison War" arc in Beyond Dimension he killed a fair number of heroes when he was invading worlds in the Pandora Dimension.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Underneath his human form, is a monstrous reptile monster who eats human flesh, not out of hunger but as a means to kill those who pissed him off.
  • Insufferable Genius: He's undeniably intelligent, possibly one of the most intelligent members of the Doomsday Alliance, an organization lead by highly intelligent warlords and geniuses, if not the omniverse in general. Just that he's such an egotist he wants everyone to know it, even making inventions to show off his intellect when they serve no purpose beyond the fact he just can. Like how he made a time machine that actually works but rarely if ever uses it, just wants to show he has the mental power to show that he can make one when he feels like it.
  • Immune To Mind Control: He trained his mind to make that any hypnotic attempt to brainwash or mind rape him has no affect to him whatsoever. Preventing others from penetrating his mind or trying to read into him, as Tetsuo Psyklone soon found out the hard way.
  • Impeccable Man: Xuriah has fought, and survived many battles, and is relentless in his pursuit to win.
  • It's All About Me: Xuriah lives and breathes on being worshipped, he firmly believes everything is made to bend to his will or get destroyed if they refuse to. He cannot live with the fact he's either not in control something or someone defying him, going to homicidal rage if his ego is ever so slighted. His whole goal in general is just to satisfy his god complex, his pettiness knowing no bound.
  • Inferiority-Superiority Complex: He needs to be the center of attention, so he thinks. He refuses that anything is beyond his control, or acknowledging someone like O'Haru or Nekrozoth are superior to him, or anyone can beat him. His treatment on Delnos was purely because he can't stand someone going beyond his control, seeing his allies as property he can dispose of rather than true comrades.
  • Joker Immunity: He often comes back from the dead for seemingly no reason, justified and subverted when it's revealed he has an army of clones he uses as backup in case of his demise.
  • Join or Die: Either kneel to Xuriah, be part of his organization, or suffer along with those associated with you.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Long before Nekrozoth returned from the dead to take this role, Xuriah was this. Every time he appears, there's always a disastrous plan coming in leading to many casualties, with little comedy to him. When he's onscreen, the tone darkens and the main cast shows nothing but disdain for the evil overlord.
  • Kick The Dog: He ain't no Nekrozoth level sadist who does this on a daily, but he's not above doing this whether out of pettiness or amusement.
    • When Devos saved a city owned by Xuriah, he noticed the people are adoring him for his heroic acts. Xuriah's response? Nuking it to Hell and back, making sure Devos sees it so he could witness the very people he saved getting annihilated before his eyes.
    • When he captured Eterna, Xuriah sadistically has her tortured even when Delnos does comply. He has no reason for this beyond wanting to piss him off for the kicks.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: His magnum opus, the total submission of all life in the Omniverse. He has conquered many worlds, many universes to multiverses, and has joined forces with fellow conquerors to aid him. It overlaps with Omnicidal Maniac too, due to his methods being borderline genocidal, wiping worlds clean to be reconstructed to his liking.
  • Made of Iron: Check Healing Factor above.
  • Mask of Sanity: As stated before, underneath his sophistication, he's a hulking mass of ax-crazy and genocidal mania.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He is rather charismatic, having gained a legion of loyal servants who worship him. Even manipulating events smoothly, going exactly what he wanted.
  • Narcissist: No-Nonsense Nemesis:
  • Not-So-Well Intentioned Extremist: Obviously Evil:

YMMV[]

  • Complete Monster: Xuriah D'arcmast'r, AKA Xyras Xolgin and his clones are equally vile:
    • The original Xuriah D'arcmast'r, AKA his "Prime" incarnation, was a living bioweapon turned unhinged megalomaniac with a God complex. Originally design to be the guardian of the multiverse, Xuriah succumbs to his hunger for power and murders his creators before trapping Prometheus in eternal torment. Establishing himself as the god of the human race, Xuriah created the monstrous, yet horribly abused, Herr Zaal to eradicate the Enhancer race for existing and sought out to conquer the Multiverse and beyond. Over the years, Xuriah makes multiple attempts on taking over the multiverse such as enslaving dozens of aliens for their technology: attempting to destroy the Earth's surface not caring if the Center gets destroyed as well: enabling the atrocities of the Doomsday Alliance: Turning countless innocent people into clones of himself: and brutally conquering worlds after worlds to add to his theocratic regime. Xuriah holds no qualms with sacrificing his own troops or devouring those who slight his ego. At the very peak of his depravity, Xuriah attempt to release the Leviathans, with the help from Ravagus, with the goal of eradicating most of life in the Omniverse. After that is done, Xuriah with his cohorts' plan to enslave the souls and survivors alike and eradicate death so they'll be stuck in immortal yet pain inducing bodied for him to rule over. Xuriah is a sadistic, power-hungry, and egotistical madman caring for only his glory and godhood.
    • The "Classic" incarnation of Xuriah D'arcmast'r, AKA Chronos/Kronos, is as monstrous as his Prime incarnation. Desiring to become a god of time and space and conquer all realities, Xuriah tried to conquer the Earth and slaughter humanity. Xuriah attempted to kickstart the Omnipocalypse by trying to release the Leviathans to devour all of creation until being imprisoned in the Pandora Dimension. Xuriah devours a prisoner in his cell, and massacred the prison he was kept in and attempted to destroy the whole dimension and the Earth out of spite: devours enemies and his own soldiers alike on a whim: and deploys the Carnage Circle to consume, kill, and torture anyone to further his own plans. Xuriah also helps the genocidal William Braxxon in making an army of Enhancer Slayers to eradicate all Enhancers. Ultimately, he attempted to go back to the beginning of time to rewrite the Omniverse, not caring it'll erase the present one and everyone in it: all to gain godlike powers for himself.

Tropes for his "Champions" Incarnation[]

Xuriah D'arcmast'r New Age Counterpart

Once a friend of Daevios Brightmore, he grew a hunger for power and saw himself a god. He once aided Daevios in defeating Nekrozoth, but now became no better and sought to conquer the entire multiverse. He leads an army of demons and interdimensional villains until he was killed by Nekrozoth later on in the story. He soon returns via a clone he made in case he'd ever perishes.

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Downplayed as he still kept the evil sociopathy of the original and still very much lacks any redeeming qualities in the modern day. However, his heroism was genuine before his fall to evil and is far less of a jerkass compared to his original counterpart and he was sincerely friends with Daevios unlike the mainstream version who hated him the day they first met. He's also not a man-eating cannibal too which makes him more restraint compared to his Ax-Crazy counterpart.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: He was far more honorable and heroic than his original incarnation was... Until megalomania kicked in and he pretty much became more closer to the original later on.
  • A God Am I: Akin to the OG, he gained a seriously twisted god complex and declared himself "God", and sought to be the most powerful being in all of existence.
  • Ax-Crazy: Becomes a mass-murdering psychopath with a god complex and some serious ego, who takes delighting psychologically breaking his arch-foe along with tormenting those who slighted his pride.
  • Arch-Enemy: Shares this role with Malroc and Nekrozoth as one of Daevios's most personal and hated foes. He was once friends with, until they had their major differences leading to Xuriah attempting to make his nemesis suffer as much as possible.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: He, Nekrozoth and Malroc acts as contenders as the main villain of the whole story.
  • Beard of Evil: A trend with all versions of Xuriah is sporting a beard to highlight their evil look.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Has this trait, such as when he betrays the White Witch to become much more powerful and such.
  • The Corrupter: Attempted to be this by trying to turn his former friend into something no better than he is.

Tropes for the Animated Series Incarnation[]

General Xuriah D'arcmast'r

A former general and protector of the multiverse, Xuriah sought absolute power through total submission and domination of everything in all of creation so he could be treated as something akin to an emperor. However, after losing a war to a more powerful villain, he laid dormant on Earth for ages and used it as a base of operations to prepare for another attempt at multiversal conquest. He is the arch-enemy of Doctor Prometheus/Annukai Parthemetheus and several other heroes in this universe, and acts as the overall Big Bad of the whole verse. He and his syndicate, the Omni-Confederacy,

  • Arch-Enemy: to Annukai Parthemetheus. Due to Daevios not being as prominent as he usually is. In this continuity, his main go-to rival earning his hatred is none other than the creator of humanity and Enhancers: for both creating Enhancers in the first place on Annukai's part and being the one who locks up Annukai in prison to be tormented for centuries for Xuriah's.
  • Ax-Crazy: As unhinged as his mainline counterpart and just as sadistically depraved man-eating genocidal tyrant.
  • A God Am I: Less frequent than his other incarnations but he certainly has the personality trait.
  • Adapted Out: Majority of his children are never seen, leaving only him and Leozario Davenci. G. Nöms, his creator, is nowhere to be seen until the movie came out.
  • And I Must Scream: What his fate has become after Nekrozoth took over his body. Xuriah's form starts to decay while he is self-aware of it all, especially with Nekrozoth's vast powers and how he tends to abuse Xuriah's body a lot. This is lampshaded too, with some characters admitting they feel a little bad for him. But as Zack Xaipan points out: Xuriah kinda had it coming, cruel as it sounds.
  • Asshole Victim: Becoming a vessel for Nekrozoth and being trapped in a fate worse than death is horrible, with some somewhat pities him for. However, considering all the atrocities and the fact what he does to his victims is no different to what Nekrozoth is doing to him, the heroes agree this on itself is a (rather twisted) form of karma for him. Thus, no one really mourns or even shed a tear because of it.
  • Abusive Parents: He's extremely cruel to his son Davenci and treats him no better as he treats his slaves and minions. He hates his own son so much there's times he's tempted to if not tried to kill him when he fails him too many times.
  • Ambition Is Evil: His one goal is to become the most powerful being in the multiverse, conquer it and reshape it as he sees fit for where he is deemed an all-powerful god.
  • Big Bad: Arguably the biggest one in the entire verse, having played major roles in several shows as a major antagonist or the main antagonist of it. Even being responsible for a lot of events especially crossovers events.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: With Malcron and Rex Lundstrom in the Zakk animated series, where he acts as one of Zakk's main foes, he faces in his series though Xuriah prefers letting his minions do the dirty work while he hides in the shadows.
    • He is also this with Nekrozoth as of the second half of the verse. Both sides opposing each other to achieve their goals, but this doesn't last long when Nekrozoth successfully pulls an eviler than thou on him.
  • Bad Boss: He has the tendencies to eat his subordinates when they fail him or piss him off. His son is no exception to this abuse either.
  • Been There, Shaped History: He was alive before humanity even existed. He was Ghengis Khan, he was the master of Jack the Ripper himself, and orchestrated the Moon-qLanding.
  • The Chessmaster: A brilliant strategist who successfully organized several events in human history, to the point that he pretty much rules most of America from behind the shadows with the help of his Rikloids he created to infiltrate human society for him to control.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: Makes no bone that he is indeed evil, hell his last name is D'arcmast'r which he come up with by himself.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: He is the founder of Masters Industries that acts as a pharmaceutical company when in actuality it's shady deals are but not limited to: human trafficking and enslavement of aliens, illegal experimentations, supplying and backing criminal organizations and terrorist cells, plotting humanity's extinction, and worldwide conspiracy and conquest.
  • Classic Villain: A psychopathic megalomaniac representing pride and ambition, who has a petty streak to those who invoke his wrath and has an endless greed for power.
  • Diabolical Mastermind: Runs the Doomsday Alliance, a criminal organization comprised of multiversal criminals and demons, along with running conspiracies and dastardly plots on Earth.
  • Demonic Possession: Ends up suffering the end of this by the hands of Nekrozoth.
  • Evil Overlord: Rules his empire with an iron-fist, is a multiversal conqueror, and functions as a Shadow Dictator to most of America. He is also hellbent on world conquest and beyond.
  • Irony: He enslaved Malem Darkstein's soul for a millennium, but then his soul suffers the same fate centuries later when Nekrozth takes over his body.
  • Indirect Serial Killer: He hires Phlesh, a demon who cuts people apart and use their organs to graph onto his body, into killing women off the streets of Victorian London so he could use their spare parts for experiments. It's all but blatantly implied to be responsible for the Jack the Ripper murders.
