NOTE: This article is about the incarnation of Xuriah D'arcmast'r from the Champions series, The mainstream version can be found here: Xuriah D'arcmast'r.

Xuriah D'arcmast'r is the secondary antagonist of AU A.I. generated Multiversal Legends story Champions. He was a general fighting the Omniverse War against Nekrozoth many years ago, once a friend of Daevios. However, as years passes by, he became a power-hungry, egotistical conqueror believing himself to be a god, seeking to take over the omniverse. He is one of Daevios's three archenemies alongside Nekrozoth and Malroc.

He is the main antagonist of the "First film", a major antagonist of its second film, and the posthumous antagonist of the third. He also appears as the deuteragonist of its prequel before becoming the main antagonist of the second half.

History[]

Past[]

Not much is known about Xuriah's past, beyond the fact he was a general fighting a war against Nekrozoth and the Prime Omegas. One day he was captured and sent to the pit in an arena, where he spends an unknown amount of time there.

One day, he meets Daevios in the pit and saves him, befriending him and even forming a brotherhood together. Together they mark their journey to save the omniverse and defeat Nekrozoth. There, they went to a fortress where they met the last remaining soldiers led by a female named Diovona, the last remains of a resistance group against Nekrozoth's rule. They learned of Nekrozoth's plans to use Universe-Destroying weapons, only to be intercepted by Malroc who nearly kills Daevios only for Xuriah to sacrifice himself to save him. Daevios vows to avenge him and makes his journey where he successfully defeats Nekrozoth and revives Xuriah and his other friends and allies.

Fall to Darkness[]

Xuriah over the years grew more attached to his dark urges as he learns more of his hidden powers. He grew a god complex, and secretly grew jealous of Daevios and his leadership which sparks him on scheming to betray the Champions. One day, he learns of the traitorous White Witch who was a Prime Omega spy, making a deal with the powerful sorceress in making an alliance with him in hopes of achieving more power. He reveals himself as the traitor, horrifying the heroes who then broke free and face Xuriah and the Witch in battle.

The Champions tries to save the woman and child who are planned to be sacrificed to a demo, Xuriah swiftly betrays the Witch to the demon before betraying the demon as well. He then reveals he has been working for the Prime Omegas for a while, planning to usurp their new leader Malroc to take control. Malroc's forces arrives and battles the Champions, as Malroc is defeated by Daevios while The Champions face Xuriah. Xuriah then face Daevios and battles the hero, only to lose to him.

After he and Malroc were defeated, with Malroc being left to die, Xuriah makes his escapes and declares that he will have his revenge eventually. He would soon meet the man who would become the Master Magus, who told him about the Beta Crystal and the prophecy about the "Perfect Being". Xuriah decides to go find this perfect being and the Beta Crystal, becoming a conqueror of worlds wiping out civilizations in his quest for the Beta Crystal. Xuriah would become the founder of the Omni-Confederacy, with the Magus joining him in his conquest.

Finding the Beta Crystal and Confronting Daevios[]

Xuriah would be confronted by Daevios once again, who is now accompanied by the wizard-in-training Master Mueller. They begin to battle, with the Magus battling Mueller, with Xuriah revealing his intent to use the Crystal to become a god and create the Perfect Being. He would defeat and kill Daevios, and then takes the Beta Crystal with him as the Magus takes Daevios's body with him. However, Daevios would be revived thanks to the demonic being called a Scelus, wreaking havoc across Xuriah's base and defeating him.

However, unable to kill Xuriah due to their past relationship as a friend and "brother", he spares Xuriah and tries to find the Magus to retrieve the crystal. With Xuriah now having bruised ego bruised from the defeat, being obsessed with revenge for his defeat. Xuriah teams up with other villains, Hellblazer, Death, and the new master of demons named The Devourer and goes by a self-proclaimed title of "God". The villains wage a warring crusade on the Champions, going so far as to resurrect Mueller's dead brother and mother for their own means. Xuriah would then find Daevios, who lures him in a trap by using a tortured Mueller as bait. He attacks Daevios with a device that kills the Scelus entity and absorbs its power for himself. He tries to corrupt Daevios into becoming something far worse than himself, but Daevios resisted the temptation and fought back against Xuriah.

Xuriah was defeated once more and sent to the Pandora Dimension to spend his days imprisoned there for all of his horrible crimes. All leading to the first film where Xuriah would meet Aebyst Blight.

Prison Break and Conquest[]

Xuriah would meet the vicious Aebyst Blight in prison, and the two begin to plan a massive prison break so they can continue their planned destruction of the Earth and ideas to conquer the Multiverse. Seeking revenge on those who defeated them and locking them away, Xuriah breaks out of his imprisonment and leads an army of demons, interdimensional criminals, omniversal terrorists, etc. He meets a fellow demon named Ahriman, the new leader of the Scelus organization where he makes a pact with Xuriah to help him conquer the multiverse. Xuriah and Ahriman goes across Pandora in a wave of destruction, Xuriah makes a speech declaring his intent on ravaging the whole dimension using his power gauntlet to cause a dimension wide Earthquake bringing untold destruction: Even destroying a city in the process.

Xuriah and his army successfully conquers the Pandora Dimension, Xuriah learns of Ahriman's intent of betraying him and creates a clone duplicate with a fake guantlet to trick Ahriman. Ahriman reveals himself to be a traitor and wipes out the demon's army and kills the clone and steals the gauntlet for himself. Xuriah reveals himself to Ahriman and uses the real gauntlet to kill Ahriman. Xuriah uses the gauntlet to open a portal to Earth and leads a demon invasion, destroying a town and allows Aebyst to torture the survivors by trapping their souls in paintings. The heroes prepare for the coming battle with Xuriah and his army, as the battle intensifies, the heroes manage to take down Aebyst and his army. Devos Brightmore, the leader and the son of Daevios Brightmore, uses a magical artifact to imprison Xuriah and his army within it. The first film act ends with the heroes believing that Xuriah is dead.

Return and Death[]

It is revealed the events of the first film that it was all orchestrated by Master Magus, who plans to revive Nekrozoth and rule the omniverse together. Xuriah along with other evil beings are set freed after the magical artifact was destroyed and kills the Magus. Xuriah gives a vicious beatdown to the heroes forcing them to retreat, before confronting Nekrozoth himself. He tries to battle the great demon, only to be killed and have his own soul devoured by Nekrozoth.

Personality[]

A power-hungry egotist, Xuriah believes himself to be a god, however he wasn't always this way. He was once a genuine hero, a general and war hero who formed a friendship and brotherhood with Daevios during the Omniverse Wars. His friendship was so strong, he sacrificed his life saving Daevios from Nekrozoth whom he helped fight against. Though as the years gone by, he grew jealous of Daevios and his leadership, which paved the way to his start of darkness. As time passes, he grew to be more aware of his own power, developing a god complex and hunger for power.

Xuriah became a traitorous foe of Daevios and the Champions and betraying the White Witch in favor of gaining more power. After being bested by Daevios, he became more resentful, and hateful of him for bruising his ego. After having his own pride shattered, he sworn revenge on the hero to the point it became an obsession of his. He does still hold a grudge against Nekrozoth, whom he did fought against during the war and tried to kill Nekrozoth in retaliation. He is also a manipulative sadist, attempting to corrupt Daevios to be worse than himself, and is all in all spiteful as he tries to resurrect Mueller's deceased family to lure him in a trap. Even going so far to enable the atrocities such as slaughtering cities and allowing Aebyst to torture humans in a gruesome fate far worse than death.

Trivia[]

  • Xuriah has shown to be very different from the mainstream version of Xuriah D'arcmast'r, for example:
    • He is considerably more heroic in his backstory, as he was willing to sacrifice himself to save his allies while the original while a hero was utterly ruthless, selfish and cruel even before his fall to evil and was something of an abuser to his allies.
    • He once became a true friend to Daevios and saved him from the pit and formed a brotherhood with him. The original hated Daevios the first time they've met and would never do such thing and utterly loath his presence to the point of utter bigotry.
    • His actual name is indeed Xuriah, with no mentions of Xyras Xolgin being his real name.
    • He was never created by Xigotis G'Noms, nor any mentions of being a bio-organism genetically designed to be a protector of the multiverse.
    • He gains his power by sacrificing a witch and betraying a demon, while he was always born a powerful being.
    • His scar is on his forehead, while the original had his scar across his eye.
  • The artwork is created via A.I. generation, being closure to a more "classic" depiction of what Xuriah was intended to look like.
